    Its all about getting over that first thought of 'wtf am I doing?' when you start to find your own noise. But just gotta go with it. The difference between noise and no noise is world's apart.
    Even when taking the pads also, I use the noise for their striking timing

    Oh so that's why my previous Muay Thai gym coach encourages shouting when I hit the bag and pads

    That thumbnail was funny as. I love using the noises like Duh Duh Duh, duh duh, or up and down noises to indicate prompts. Humans are rhymtnuc creatures and it’s awesome when you can accurately convey info to a person so quick with just noises

    The Thai fighters at the training camp l was so very fortunate to be a student of, sounded like a tiger growling when they hit the pads or heavy bag. It’s straight up knarly.

    I noticed in my training that hissing requires some level of tension (which can be good for bracing), I prefer to grunt or shout, because it helps me to relax more.

    Honestly, i get less tired when doing Muay Thai Grunt in Padwork or bag work than doing silent breathing.

  • @pureaccuracy874
    @pureaccuracy874 9 месяцев назад

    Agree, i think theres something to be said for your body naturally increasing the respiratory effort per breath, so to expend more CO2 you have to up your rate of expiration in a shorter time, thus leading to a shout

    I was thinking this too recently ! I growl/ breathe but when I spar( first fight coming up) I don’t and really all of us at the gym don’t!

    Would it be possible to do a video about breathing and "the efficient use of energy" in fight / sparring. I feel gassed out early in sparring even though my condition is good. I've narrowed it down to poor breathing mechanics.

    I find myself having way more stamina just humming between strikes as opposed to silent breathing. Can anyone chime in on the physiology with this?

    I have heard that shouting makes your jaw more vulnerable. Is there anything to this?

    • @heatrick
      @heatrick  2 года назад +3

      An open jaw is certainly more vulnerable than a closed jaw - because of the impact from the strike isn't dissipated through the teeth, and the jaw hinge sees full leverage! So in theory, if you're caught open-mouthed with a shot as you strike, your jaw is more easily damaged.
