2:41 if you want the real size picture, there is no need to draw it. Holding the right button, click the left button at the same time and the picture is 1:1 in size. Great tips❤
Absolutely wonderful. Learned more here in eight min than I have in the last Year. I found that if you convert your art board to curves you can use the nodes and make any shape you want. When you create art board presets make sure to click on the create art board box before you finish the preset. Now when you click on a preset art board the little box is already checked.
So glad you showed us how to get to the cat pictures - however in V2 there is a slightly different looking cat picture, anyway I can get to the one you showed?
Yes V2 has an updated cat. The only way you can (that I've found) is if you still have V1 installed. Get the cat tool, draw the cat, then copy and paste it into V2 and add it to the asset panel in V2
I got me a graphic Board to Draw ! Having all 3 Affinity Products since the Original Release I just started really Using it and understanding SO much and I thank YOU for these hidden Jewels. How about using this with a drawing Board ? Thanks for ALL these Tips !
The whole suite works really well with a drawing tablet/board. What’s really handy in creating shortcuts for things you use a lot if your board has buttons on them. Otherwise they usually are super useful to have when using the Affinity suite
Canvas rotation is the most annoying, and I will emphasize Annoying, part of Affinity Designer. It always takes me out of my flow when I accidentally rotate instead of Zoom. Thank you for showing how to disable this.
Hi BB, thank you for your videos. I cannot find a way to add a shortcut to get to a Studio preset of my choice like you do. I couldn't find any in the Preferences panel. Thank you for help

I am learning so much from your tutorials. Thank you. How do you add shortcut keys for studio presets. I have my favorite layout of tools and I can go to studio, presets, and select it but how do I add a keyboard shortcut to make it faster?

that's strange. another way you can get to it is through "Help" -> My Account. And if it's not there then you're best bet would be to just search the store in Google
I loved the video overall, but I cannot get the cat to work. I tried both in Affinity Designer 1 and 2. I really messed up my screen trying....spent some time to get it back to normal lol. Have no idea what I did.

It should be under View - Studio Presets where you can add different presents which it will automatically set them as a shortcut

It automatically adds the shortcut. When you go to "add preset" once you've created one the shortcut will be listed next to the name

It should pop up when you hold shift and click on the shape tool and then it would be at the bottom of the list

Use affinity daily and never thought I'd ever be holding shift for a cat tool 🤣🤣
