Damper tech from KW here. Really appreciate the love y'all have for our products! We really do take pride in what we do whether it's rebuilding your old kits, or building new ones! Thought I'd mention that we also do custom applications for anything that we don't offer with our street kits. Each custom kit is bespoke to every single customer, so while it's a bit more expensive to have it's pretty cool to say you have a 1 of 1 KW damper set up :)
Yo that's sick cus I had been looking at KW for my 2017 Fusion Sport. Glad to know there's a possibility for a custom application here 👍 will be in touch real soon.
@@Modestleisure depends on you/ your usage.. got KW CS 3-Way and KW sway-bars for my BMW F21, which can be a little harsh for daily driving, yet i absolutely love how the car handles..
Can you recommend a way I can refresh the suspension on my 06 RSX Type S? Want to get that squish back a little. I have some bad bushings, but would replacing those be enough?
Hi, I have a 2010 MK6 GTI and bought the KW V3 coilovers, they were awesome for several years… when one of the shocks failed I took them off and boxed them back up and put the stock suspension back on - the car is fully modded APR and has just been sitting in storage, I’d like to get it out of mothballs and get my KW’s rebuilt and back on the car- they’re supposed to have a lifetime warranty - can they go to any KW facility? I bought them when I lived in Vegas, now I’m in Ohio… any advice?
I've got the V2's on my e46, had them a lil over a year now, winter driven, they're holding up good, they're a little firm on bumpy roads, but with the dampers or whatever adjusted to a couple clicks above minimum setting they ride nice. If I could afford to, I'd buy the V3 or V4's but in all honesty, you don't NEED all that adjustment for the road. the V2's are more than enough for street cruising / spirited drives. One thing to mention, they DO NOT include camber plates. I didn't know this when purchasing so was a lil disappointed in that. I'd totally recommend this suspension to anybody looking to replace / upgrade their current setup.
V4 and clubsport do come with camber plate and sway bar link, making the extra price kinda worth it. And it is alway better to have a bit more option that you don’t need than lacking it and one day you find out that you do need it.
Any idea what camber plates work with V2’s for e46’s? Plan on getting a set rebuilt in the coming months and I’d like to have everything installed when I’m ready.
the kit will work fine on its own. you don't 'need' camber plates, unless it's something you want to adjust, then you'll prob have to buy them separate. @@irfanali-kr9be
I have the KW V3's paired with swift springs and Raceseng camber plates, they've held up to 20K miles of abuse on my BRZ track car and only now need a rebuild. They look new because they are sheathed from dirt and no leaks. They are excellent.
I went from KW V2's to ST XTA on my 1989 Golf mk2 with a 1.8T Engine Swap (350hp) They basically feel the same, but I can adjust the ST XTA more than the KW V2 and the ST feels a little better in corners. KW is more comfortable, but also more expensive than KW (In Germany) I can also get ST Suspensions in my custom color which is great for showcars
@@coolturista8714 No, the ST XA is still really comfortable. You can also adjust the stiffness a little bit, I made mine a little bit stiffer because it was too soft for me.
Would the v1 be a good replacement for my 2016 fiesta st? Its got lowering springs and stock struts, i dont track drive, but its my daily and im delivery driver. So just wondering if this would be a good idea to upgrade to coilovers

KW has both progressive springs that carry different spring rates through their travel and linear springs which carry the same rate throughout. You’ll find linear springs on more of the competition geared setups
I got a ‘19 GT86 (TRD) .. was wondering if anyone thought if the KW V3s would be a significant upgrade to my car which came stock with upgraded suspension (Sachs dampers) … handles like a f’n champ right now, can be uncomfortable sometimes though… but takes corners like a beast. I’m on Michelin Pilot Sport 4s btw. Still NA. If anyone savy enough knows, please let me know asap. Thanks y’all💯
I dont know if you've already done suspension as its been almost a year since your comment. Id go for racecomp engineering, they are designed with kw and a little more budget friendly. Just did a set on my friends car and doing mine next weekend
I’m considering KW for my BMW E63 650i. I appreciate a sporty ride but not a stiff one. It’s a GT and not a sports car. I want the best ride, minimum body roll, right steering feel but not shaky and evening out the imperfections in the road. So relatively comfortable also. Which variant would be the best for me, what’s the best technique regardless of the difference in price?
If you just want to adjust height and not damping, V1s are good! But if you want to mess around with the soft or stiffen up, V2s will be your best bet. Hope this helps! -Edgar
