If you are into kpop, pay attention to the entertainment companies. Red Velvet is from SM and they have a very unified production. This company is known for its unique vocal mixing. (I'm an ARMY but I absolutely love their production style)

Red velvet is from SM (EXO as well) and SM is known for their diversity on the productions. They usually buy demos from American or non-Asian artists so that's why their sound it's really unique. The company is known for their vocals as well, they probably have the best singers in kpop, like every one can sing in there. Red velvet were crowned as the best idol group alive by Billboard and they are critically acclaimed by a lot of music professionals and producers, their discography is one of the top tier discographies in kpop industry. FACT.
Red Velvet are like the queens of b sides tracks in kpop. You should react to their albums cause i assure you you'll be amazed by their songs. The reve festival finale is a really good one but most of their albums are perfect so choose whatever you want fr. Love your reactions 💖
High quality bsides with so much variety in genres. The work done by their producers combined with their vocal talent and chemistry really makes it a distinct "one of a kind" experience just going through their whole discography. Many people are really just scratching the surface by limiting their listening experience to their title tracks.

@@itssun6569 I mean yeah they aren't as underrated as loona or dreamcatcher but I don't know for me red velvet are really underrated. They deserve so much more they should be way more known cause these girls are a well rounded group. They are diverse , their music is incredible which tbh not many kpop groups have good music (in my opinion) , they have interesting choreographies and the chemistry between the members is unbelievable. But not many people appreciate their work as much as I believe they deserve. Most people just talk about their visuals and stuff not about their vocals, uniqueness and songs :// they are in the industry for 6 years yet still not many kpop stans know them. I just wish for them the best you know??

I'm glad you are checking Red Velvet out. They are amazing and probably the group with more "out of the box" productions. They have different concepts as well (Red = funny, high energy more summer vibes / Velvet = more mature, r&b kind of vibe). So keep that in mind since their releases very a lot.
Also they are incredibly talented and have great vocal harmonies :)

@Dont talk shit about BTS,BLACKPINK and RED VELVET TWICE are a versatile group. They deserve more recognition for their amazing music, not only their 8 million album sales.
The thing I like about kpop is their versatility. Everyone can find a genre or concept they like. They do concepts like murder, retro, games, sexy, cute, summer and many more. And Red Velvet's concept is having two sides. Their Red side is more bubbly, refreshing and upbeat meanwhile their velvet side contains more r&b elements, are more mature and dark. Also kpop music videos are actually most of the times really deep. They all have theories and hidden meanings. One of the biggest example would be EXO. All of their mv's starting from 2012 have one storyline. Thay have been keeping up with it for 8 years now. All of their mv's are connected. They even released comics that are also involved in the theory. It's so fun to discover hidden things and keep up with the story.
I wouldn't say that velvet-side songs are "dark", I'd say downtempo and relaxed, because they have a penchant for putting dark (buy which I mean supernatural/horror/intense) elements into any style song. "Peek-a-boo" and "Russian Roulette" are patently uptempo and "red", but contrast the music style with darker themes in the lyrics and/or visuals.
