The Tampa Bay 1921 hurricane, Opal, Wilma, and Michael are a few of many hurricanes that form in the latter part of the season. Its not over yet. Never let your gaurd down

Keep your eye on that thing. I don't trust those spaghetti lines. This is tragic. If a cold front starts coming down towards FL, S. FL better watch out. I don't trust the models. I will not stay. These storms are getting stronger and stronger.

They were wrong last wk...
The weather I was watching, Weather Channel mostly, kept showing Clearwater/Tampa area would be landfall of Ian and then a couple days later it moved and they did say it was going to hit Fort Myers Beach and surrounding areas. So I'm confused when I hear the weather report was wrong.... Not being rude either
30 hrs prior they said 100 miles so of Tampa would be landfall. Then they said landfall would be Sarasota. This was relatively close to storm. I'm sure that's why so many ppl stayed. I live in Fort Myers and I was watching local news channel.
