    Thanks for the information!
    Just for your reference, when comparing batteries you need to compare Watt/Hours (W/H) not just milli Amp/Hours (mA/H). With this information, you will find the original battery it is rated at 8.7W/H. The power bank is a little more complicated, but usually the mA/H given for the power banks is for a single cell Voltage, so about 3.7V. This means that the 10,000 mA/H battery bank is 37W/H, so around 4.25 times bigger than the original battery. After all the conversion losses, I think you should be looking at around 3.5 - 4 times the original running time.

      As an electrical engineer I do not recommend this method here is why! Your battery says it outputs 7.2v and obviously has also a certain allowable ripple of voltage that is designed for the camera. On the other hand you are feeding you camera with 9 volts with absolutely no way to know if the voltage ripple might or not damage your camera and I am not even counting the fact that 9 volts means more current for your camera and your camera might not be able to handle the overcurrent.

      @JohnnyMotel99 4 года назад

      @@andrereis3896 '9 volts means more current for your camera and your camera might not be able to handle the overcurrent.' are you sure about this? Surely camera will just pull whatever current it needs? I'd be a lot more wary of over-voltage. My house wiring can handle up to 13amps, but if I plug in a 1kw fire, it's not pulling all 13amps.

    There are kits on Amazon that up-convert the voltage from 5V to 7.5V. For my EOS-M I use one of those. People complain that they do not work but there is a trick to understand. The USB Battery Absolutely MUST put out 3 or more amps. This is the most confusing part so go to a local electronics store and ask if you are not sure. You need 3 AMPS out of a single USB A port. Sometimes they quote 4.8 amps but that is for two ports.
    The other way around is order the kits with 2 USB cable ends. Then a battery that says 4.8 amps.

    not sure if the adapter will do a good job or not, if it does not, it may shorten your camera's internal circuit life?

    This set provides 9V. Officially Canon Rebel cameras are supplied with 7.2V electricity. Does not cause any problem the higher voltage in long term?

      as i understand it the battery grips with 2 batteries are 9v too. so id say no it wont hurt as they sell this as an accessory. only thing that worries me is the consistency that those cheap step up cables provide, I'm half tempted to make my own with a step up converter to 12v then a step down converter to 9v. since as i said above im having issues with low battery being displayed the weak link seems to be the cable but lets see what others think too.

    Have you actal tests of the battery life? With all that voltage conversion you surely can't just devide the capacity of the batteries and call it the factor :o

      +Lucas Pfaff true. But the longest I shot was 4 hours of video and the Anker showed 50% left. I've used it about a handful on times and not always Recording, but in idle with the screen on.

      Would be interesting if you could do some stopwatch-tests. Would really benefit the videos to have the real deal, not only the math - your videos look really nice, I think this would be a great addition :) keep it up!

      anker power banks are the most efficient and i have tried many

      That thing has maximum 5000mAh, maybe only 2500, but not 10.000. They just add the capacity of the cells which is physically wrong.
