To get the spacing right for putting cleats on stuff I've put spray adhesive or thin double stick tape on top of the cleats and slide them into place then press the board onto them and slide them out. Add screws and you're done. I 3d printed my own cleats, files are all in thingiverse I think
Mod 5 is genius bro!!! Super accessible on the outside eliminates opening or worse in stacking to get to bits and drill bits, and also save a lot is space inside the boxes for other thing! This one I will be using for sure! Cheers mate!!!
I like the drill case idea -- I did the same with my first aid kit(on that spot on the case) but I used sticky velcro so I could remove it if needed. Thanks!
Drill case idea is good, reverse your way of attachment, driver side in th box me nut to the outside in the driver box side. You won't harm your reaching in for tools or lose room for things you may damage
love the mods, was thinking you could just keep a thin piece of wood and use it kind of like a jig with all the holes already drilled, place it on what you wanna work on and drill them real quick
So I did something kind of like what you did but I got a buddy to 3D print me the female (tool side) of the cliptech and I screwed those onto my bit cases (i have 4) and then bolted 4 male cliptech clips to the packout. So I can just lift up and down and pop them off, and if I lose bits, it's easy to just pop that 3d printed clip off and put it on another case if I buy another one. Your imagination is the sky when using the 3D printed clips for the cliptech system. If you can put a screw or a bolt in it, it can be clipped. You could even do it to tools lol
You know with the clips the screw head fits through the front plate..... no need to remove the pin ect, the clip also opens... just for anyone else wanting to do the same 👍 other mods are mint
Lol. Yeah I was also wondering. Man milwaukee should buy out tough built. I LOVE all my tough built gear. Packout is missing exactly what tough built offers!
Painters tape works better than a paper and pencil. Just place the feet into the clips, place a piece of tape over all of the holes, then transfer to whatever you are attaching them to.
Exactly, was thinking the same thing! Guess he was overthinking it. Lol. Love those toughbuilt clips and toolbelt. As a contractor, I use them all the time. You could also buy the toughbuilt mounting rail and perhaps mount them on the packout rails somehow. I’ll tinker with the idea.
Mod 1 is great man! To add to that mod would be a DYI for clips or a way to affix the removed handle onto the back or front of the packout, but sideways (horizontally), so it doesn't get lost or misplaced. Please keep the videos coming, as you have killer ideas on the process, like using pencil rubbing for hole drilling placement. 👍
Hey. I have just added the links to the description for you. I have noticed on amazon the m5 pins I used are out of stock at the moment but if you copy the description of the product on amazon through the link I have provided and paste it into eBay they do have them in stock. alternatively you can just buy the m6 pins of amazon and they would do the same thing. you would just need to drill a 5mm hole and tap with a 6mm tap. Hope this helps.
I bought the red boxes last year because I was tired of hunting for tools inside in a black hole of soft bags and black bins. The red is light enough to let light through and make the bottom of the box visible. I am not interested in the new black color boxes.
Some cool ideas but not understanding why dissembled the tough built clip to re assemble it when there’s holes in the front clip 🤣 Fair play tho some cool little ideas for people
what is the reason for removing the metal pin on the Tough Built clips when there are holes on the front face of the clip seemingly for this very purpose??
Couldn't get my drill bit holder through the front facing holes and using a screwdriver was difficult to screw into the aluminium bar behind the plastic.
Some really clever ideas there. I've just bought a complete box tower and am just looking at mods for it to be able to use it as an art table and storage for painting and art supplies... no.. you can never have a big enough box lol ! I was wondering if you've ever taken out the lid section lining of any of the boxes and what was behind it? As someone who uses every inch of space available for paints and glitters it's a bit frustrating I can't use that lid space with magnets and a piece of steel sheet.. do you have any thoughts on if this might be possible? No one in the Milwaukee tech team seems to be able to help 👍
Hey how's it going. I actually have another packout video on my channel which is the 5 mods and tips part 3 video where I actually take the inner lining of the box out to place an air tag in there so might be worth you checking that video out so you can see how much room there is. :)

Hey I'm glad you like it. I have a part 2 and part 3 video it might be worth you checking out too if you like packout mods.
I am loving the black pack-out kits….
for #5, flip the bolt around so the head (and washer) are in the box and the remainder is outside in the bit holder...possibly no cutting needed
I like the drill case idea -- I did the same with my first aid kit(on that spot on the case) but I used sticky velcro so I could remove it if needed. Thanks!
Yeah that's a nice idea.
You just use sticky Velcro or some other mechanical attachment for it?
With toughbuilt the possibility is endless 🍻 I actually mounted mine on the side of my box and another 2 on the back handle area.
Yeah I really like the toughbuilt stuff. That's a nice idea too.

Thanks man. Appreciate the feedback.
Just saw this video. Shouldn't #1 mod be how you make the cases black. So cool. All milwaukee is red I thought.
European models are black with red accents so I’ve heard. Stateside is traditionally red.
Im in the uk and we get the black packouts , I prefer them to the red
This is so GOOD your Brilliant !!!
Thanks matey
Great ideas! Thank you.
Glad you like them!
Great Tips! Not sure you know. But you can already put those little boxes attached to the front of the PackOuts already. They Click in place. Just FYI
Great tip!
Excellent ideas, TY 🤙🏻
No problem 👍

Fantastic! Thanks a lot 👏👍

If you used a large pice of wood and 4 clips that vice would be some much more sturdy and stable I use mine for fitting pipes
Appreciate the tip

Okay how do I get the black boxes!?
No need to remove the pin on cliptech. They have holes you can screw through while they’re closed
Even if there not holes i drill those holes.😀

Nice work. Any chance you could link the parts you've used? Specifically the pins for the handles.
