Can we insert nasogastric without proper positioning of the patient? I have read in Bailey that, the best position for insertion of Ryles tube is by making the patient sitting with neck slightly flexed.
Namaste sir, very nice presentation sir Have a query please respond... What if the Tube is in lungs and we have try to check it with 20ml of water? Doesn't it lead to Pneumonia or Hydrothorax?
Hi If it's in the main bronchus or segmental bronchus, first of all, the patient would cough severely if conscious. But if unconscious, then it's really not recommend to push fluid at first, rather air injection is a better option, or taking an x ray.
I am a nurse . This is very useful for me. Thank you
