I never thought I'd see an amazon basics bag on this channel but I'm for it! It's important to consider everyone's budget and requirements. Not everyone cares for YKK zippers and eco systems, nice job A!
Finally something us plebians can afford, otherwise everything is so expensive in your channel. Would be nice if you could do more budget gears please 😅 I know everyone in the community cares about quality and can easily spend 300+ pounds on a backpack, would really appreciate if you could bring some budget videos like this for folks like us.
Been using a different Amazon backpack for the past 5+ years. Held up a lot better than I expected through daily use and occasional travel. Some of the interior has started to rip and tear a bit, but it’s still very useable. Though it looks extremely generic, still a lot of bang for my buck
When i was younger i used to care so much about brand, because i felt embarrassed. But now I'm nearing 30, i couldn't care less. Just need things that work regardless of brand.
Hey Aaron, great video! I was wondering if you had any plans to review the Alpaka Shift V2 as it looks like a pretty interesting version of their other travel pack.
Bravo on reviewing something more economical. Yes, many viewers would like to know about the high-end products but there's a huge portion of the population that will never afford them. I think Tomtoc and Ulanzi products are economical and high-enough quality to be worthy of reviews.
good review and glad you are reviewing some less expensive bags too, I think that's great! good alternatives too. maybe not your core audience but the e-bags mother load pack also comes to mind, budget friendly and not terrible but does have some room for improvement (notably a hip strap for a travel bag of that size). could be a lot of people out there looking for reviews on it. keep up the great work.
Very nice to have the budget video. Im also a quality snob, but my bestie is not and I'm happy to have some suggestions for her. I cant wait to see some other budget friendly reviews
Gotta say this seems like a surprisingly good deal for that price. Could be a good bug-out bag to keep in the car or to get for kids. I have a couple of Amzn Basics packing cubes sets that I’ve been using for a couple years and they’re holding up pretty well.
Do review "Decathalon Quechua Nature Hiking 32L Backpack Escape 500" It's another budget 32L travel backpack similar to this. Decathalon has a lot of affordable (or cheap) backpacks for every function (hiking, 10, 15, 20, 30, 40, 50L, etc)
I use the Matein 40 Ltr travel backpack. I really have had great luck with it as my carry on size bag. If it is a short trip I have a Maxtop smaller bag that qualifies as a personal bag size pack. The quality on it is just okay. Never really had anything major go wrong with it... But it is ergonomically designed and you lose some packing space at the top of the pack. But it is comfy and sleek on buses and in a crowd. Good honest video on this bag. Thanks! Good video.
Been using mine for the last five and half years, outside of some scuff marks like it was dragged across something sharp everything else works and looks like the day I got it. Maybe the removed it since I got it but the laptop compartment has a sling like apparatus for lifting a laptop so it sits more in the middle of the compartment works well for a 16in laptop.
I kind of like the main compartment opening of this Amazon bag more than the Tomtoc one. It's more... open. The Tomtoc seems to have a lip around the top that looks a little annoying.
I have to admit I own only one Amazon Basics product, a small all black duffle bag. Its pretty awesome quality for the $30 price point lol but its always a gamble what type of quality you get at such a low cost. Its a hit and miss experience. Great review!
So watching this a got a great idea for you, what about doing a series on how well the bags hold up over time after a lot of use? It'll give a good feel for the longevity...for instance i watched a review of the Peak Design Everyday Zip and they mentioned the ends of the flex dividers started to fray after a month in... not that they didn't function but something to keep an eye on and could be considered 'normal' wear. I only mention because longevity for the pricier bags is definitely a factor. Just a thought 💭! Cheers, loving the reviews!
Hey its not as bad as I was expecting. If it doesn't feel like its flimsy thats half the battle. At least it the zippers are questionable, it has backup compression straps to take the load off. I'm assuming the Arcido is a lot better though, I think they have one thats like $70-80ish.
The best carry on travel bag is the Osprey Daylite Duffel 45 L. It's one giant 45L bucket that you can organize with packing cubes if you're into that sort of thing. Never need to check a bag. It's great because it's high quality but doesn't look expensive so you don't stick out like a sore thumb advertising to thieves that you spend a bunch of money on your travel gear (and therefore probably have expensive stuff in your bag).
No external water bottle holder is a deal breaker for me. Not so much to hold a water bottle, but an umbrella. If I have to open a main compartment of a bag to get an umbrella, then everything inside is at risk at getting wet while I do so. No, thanks.
@@Nomads.Nation would you be comparing Tomtoc T66 vs Amazon basics backpack? They are similarly priced and even look kinda inspired by each other 😂 p.s. I have the Tomtoc.
When you see the eBags MotherLode Travel Backpack, you'll realize that Amazon just stole the design. Now that Samsonite bought them out and effectively destroyed the company by cheapening every single aspect, this one is sadly better quality. eBags OG decade long user here.

Thanks dude! We get a lot of requests for budget friendly bags and plan to do a lot more reviews like this in the future 💪🏻
Zippers and hardware have high fail rates on luggage/bags. Insist on YKK.
@@jimbergmann8633 agreed on the fail rates, but YKK is hard to find at this price range
Like some people say, cheap things cost more on the long run; tho some expensive things are overpriced, that's where reviews help 😂

I’ve heard great things! But there’s no way you are going to be able to carry that bag on to every flight - it will get checked from time to time
Hello,
Im going to dallas for literally 2 days on American Airlines, i just want to bring a carry on
Would this bag pass the bag check?
not sure, take a look at the dimensions of the bag and the dimensions of American Airlines bag policies and you'll have your answer
What are your thoughts on the rolling backpack concept?
I’ve never tested one so can’t say for sure, but I imagine a bag would have to make many compromises to be able to accommodate wheels
Looks an awful lot like the Bange 22039 model with a little variance. Good value.
haven't heard of that bag but I'll def check it out
Its not bad actually. All the amazonbasics products are good. I own some
