- With everything on the track and coupled, you're ready to roll. Learn how to operate your train by watching a demonstration on how to use the throttle, the sound system, the engine smoke, and the direction buttons. Also learn how to properly disassemble your set and repack everything in your Lionel box. FasTrack can be taken apart and reassembled thousands of times without losing any reliability!

I remember when Lionel put transformers in their sets but then invented Lionchief and made a stupid plug from track to wall feature. No one is going to use that whatsoever in their future layouts. I’m just glad I got the Pennsylvania Three Rivers set before they started doing Lionchief.
Well I have a lioncheif plus engine I got NYC GP20 it runs alright.. but that track that plugs in the wall it powers only 33 volts Wich isn't bad it's pretty much just a add on for your layout basically like a voltage add on to add more power and volts to your track.
Thank you for the information.
Jeff sounds kinda less enthusiastic than what I hear on Iltt
I have one of the original polar expresses and even though it doesn’t smoke or chuff, the whistle and the strength is incredible, just like the postwar sets...
I am happy they use lionchief it's way easier and feels safer for a kid like me

I remember when train sets and catalogs had RailSounds Sets and TrainSound Sets. I think Lionel is going cheap with just TrainSounds sets but this Wabash FT diesel is a good model.
I can debate that as when I bought mine the sound unit died.
I lovee this
How old do you to set it up by yourself
After acquiring a 2006 Wisconsin Central Highball Freight Set. I gotta ask. Are any of the recent Locomotives that are remote-controlled via Bluetooth compatible with a transformer wired layout?
Yes, the LionChief engines will run with a conventional transformer, you just put the power to maximum and leave it like that on the transformer. Then you can run the LionChief engine like normal with the remote.
just a suggestion i was wondering if you guys could come out with a "Just Do it like Nike" ,train set for 0-27scale,and the set could include a 2-8-4,Berkshire Steam locomotive with railsounds, crew talk, and on both sides of the tender it could say NIKE with the all American Nike logo on it and a flat car,Box car, tank car, gondola car, caboose, and fast Track and a CW-80watt,Transformer,and they can all be on sale for around $349.95,i thought it would be a nice brand new idea for this year and it might event make a lot more people and toy train lovers once again happy ok☺
Wait when you put the smoke fluid in do you just leave it there when your done?
I have this train
Will the cw80 operate when its the for so long like a (bachman controller) or should i put it back in the box
Trainguy2929 It will start to overheat for a long use like a very long use maybe an hour or a little bit longer than that. When it does just unplug and let it sit instead of putting it the box so all the heat can come out of the vents.
Because I'm 8
I think you are about old enough, Just be careful you might get shocked by electricity
You should get supervision
i'm Test Trains.
