    Knowing what you know now, it is cheaper to purchase furniture locally?

    • @coconutjo9780
      @coconutjo9780  4 месяца назад +1

      I’d do it again, especially for our quality and comfortable living room furniture and bedroom, along all the other smaller things that a home needs. Btw the TVs here have come down a little bit in price.

    with that amount of monney is better to buy everything in DR

    • @coconutjo9780
      @coconutjo9780  Год назад +2

      At a point we started to think that but to purchase the same quality of furniture and other goods, we would have at least paid double, probably triple the amount we paid to ship our goods. Everything we shipped we already had, nothing bought new to ship. Great question though!

    So approximately 10,000 USD and 70 days. If U had to do this over, would U have preferred to sell the furniture and buy new in DR? Just curious. Very informative video.

    • @coconutjo9780
      @coconutjo9780  10 месяцев назад

      I think they go through some of the boxes but not I’m not exactly sure. We did somehow end up with an extra box in our container from someone that was from Michigan. 🤷🏽‍♂️

      That didn’t include customs and the company was ABC Worldwide Logistics. There may be a few other companies out there with the same name or ones very similar, if you want my contact I can send it to you, he was easy to contact and deal with. Thanks for watching!

    Seems like a lot of hassle shipping your entire 3 bed house contents. Would it have been better that you sold all you USA contents, or at least most ot it, and bought new furniture etc in the DR? At least show us a video of your condo with the belongings/contents so that we can judge for ourselves if all that headache and cost you had to bear was worth it.

    • @coconutjo9780
      @coconutjo9780  7 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks for your comments/questions and sorry for the very late reply. Now that it has been over 1 year since we shipped our belongings over in a shipping container, we are even more happy that we did and have zero regrets. I probably would have brought all new tvs instead 2 new ones. The only thing that was a pain was the actual time it took us to receive our container.
      Thanks
