I want to see a parallel univery where freddy Adu lived up to the hype
Just boot up fm05 and sign him
Honestly I just wanted him to be an OK MLS or Benfica player.
@@timyxgc3714 that's a good idea now 25 is late. I'm sure I can find a retro db
His highlight reel is legitimately crazy even for such a flash in the pan
the 3 inevitable things of life: Death, taxes and Alfie somehow referencing Freddy Adu in every single intro
I think we can safely say the add-ons for Antony will not be add-on.
We can't know if the clause isn't activated by him kicking the ball out of play while dribbling against no opposition.
Like Martial's Ballon Dor clause when Manchester United signed him
putting Griezmann below Coutinho and especially below Lukaku is very harsh IMO. Barca made about the same loss on him as they made on Coutinho or Chelsea did on Lukaku, but at least he didn't embarass the club in the same way as either Coutinho or Lukaku did. On top of that he actually put in acceptable numbers, if still underwhelming, which the same can't be said about Lukaku nor, the whole stint taken into account, for Coutinho
I agree with you although I understand his reason that Griezmann never made sense since he and Messi played a similar role. While Couthino made sense as a replacement for Neymar as a signing. So in terms of it being a stupid idea I see his point.
Although, I think if he put more weight on who had better results Griezmann should be a lot higher on this list. Plus if you consider he was there for basically Barça’s worst time in history with Bartou and pandemic and the three different coaches his numbers look even better. I think he had a pretty good second season and would have liked to see how he would’ve done if he stayed when Messi left.
I think a “what on earth is going on at Aberdeen” video is on the cards.
From being relegation threatened midway through last season, to now being joint-top of the league, having won 13 games in a row and unbeaten in nearly 20.
Short answer: Topi Keskinen🙏💪🏻🙌
Until they face Celtic
@@kwanlinus6999
Wouldn’t put money on it at the moment, Celtic humped off Dortmund and barely scraped past County, Aberdeen will smell blood.
@@villek3722
One of their key players 100%. Has been sensational this season.
Funny enough, Aberdeen was the last Scottish club outside the Old Firm clubs to ever win the top-flight league. It happened during the 1980s, when they had the future Manchester United legend Sir Alex Ferguson as their manager. They also won the Cup Winners Cup during that period.
Bellingham over bale is absolutely criminal
Lmaooo. Exactly
He scored goals to put them in the lead in 2 Champions League finals. His goal in 2018 is maybe the best ever scored in the final.
As a player ye but as a signing it makes some sense
It’s exactly what I came to comment. It’s ridiculous - ONE SEASON? Madrid didn’t even outplay many of the teams they beat and he really wasn’t that special in the latter half of the champions league. Maatsen GAVE him the ball. You cannot call someone the second best of all time based on ONE season - which even from here - was clearly a purple patch where a player was played out of their normal position. If he’d scored 400 goals, sure. But it wasn’t that - he’s not even the BdO frontrunner!
@@tayhonorable7421purple patches don't last a whole season and certainly don't make a midfield disfunctional without you in it. Bellingham over bale is outrageous, yes, but don't downplay how important he is for Real Madrid
You can tell who actually listened to Alfie’s criteria lmao, CR7 & Neymar were brought in to WIN THE UCL. Neither achieved it, both set back their clubs by a significant amount and what the clubs recouped wasn’t worth the risk. The only “issue” I have with the list is Gareth Bale not being 1st, he was tormented by the media for the majority of his time at Madrid but turnt up in finals scoring two of the greatest goals I’ve ever witnessed😮💨.
The Antony signing was painful for us (Ajax), but also wildly comical.
He was one of our best players at times, but had a knack for dissappearing and we weren't opposed to him leaving, but United refused to sign him for €40m within our given deadline, €60m in our newly given deadline, €80m in our last negotiation effort close before the end of the transfer deadline, but when they came just at the brink of that deadline they immediately said yes to €95+5m that we gave them honestly intended more as a middle finger.
lol I didn't know the whole story. That's absolutely hilarious. 40m was the true value
@@ScarletAsmodai how much did ETH pocketed himself
Idk if this is the first time but Alfie talking about Gaza increased my respect for him
Lol Bale is the greatest 100m transfer easily. Real for struggling for years for La Decima and Bale was that missing puzzle. How many CL Mbappe won for PSG? Unless Bellingham wins 4 CL in his first 5 seasons at Real, he aint even close to Bale.
lol
I’m not a Ronaldo fanboy but ranking Grealish above him is absolutely insane. Ronaldo was comfortably the best player for Juventus during his time there, scoring 101 goals in 134 games for the club, knocking out Atlético Madrid in the UCL all by himself in 2019 and winning two Serie A titles in three years, what more could you possibly ask for? Grealish has mostly been a rotational player for City and one decent half season simply can’t justify his ridiculous €120M transfer fee.
as a Juve fan, I honestly wish we never signed cr7
I have so many problems with this list.
1. Griezmann played okay for Barca he wasn’t great but did contribute that’s way more than Felix for Atleti, Coutinho for Barca and Antony will ever be for United. He had a lot of goal contributions.
2. Grealish above Ronaldo cmon we know you don’t like Ronaldo but that is actually ridiculous he is currently being benched by doku. Ronaldo is criminally underrated for Juve.
3. Neymar that low is genuinely one of the worst things I’ve ever seen. Neymar took PSG to their first UCL final and had a few deep runs. Neymar imo first season at PSG he was the best player in the world before his injury in February. To me Neymar is at minimum top 3 not because of trophies which he won but because he was by far the best player on this list during their times at the club
💯
Juventus fan here. Ronaldo scored but he made Juventus worse and as Alfie said ruined their financial structure.
Juve won 4 doubles before Ronaldo came and in that time also two champion league final.
Ronaldo came and they only won the league twice in two season. No Italian cup and 1/16 in champion league. His third season Juve only won Italian cup.
All the other Juve players regressed in terms of scoring. Their structure tactic of every player pressing was gone as the tactic changed to oh let Ronaldo shoot. I hated the Ronaldo signing. Ruined Juventus.
@williamlee7672Ronaldo is easily the scapegoat here. He did what you guys paid for him to do. Everything else is juventus fault
Maybe crazy to say, but to me it is obvious: A LOT of player will do the job Grealish did in Man City, if not better. That's proven by how average he was throughout his time at the club, even in the treble season, he never really shines.
@@williamlee7672 I don't even think it is entirely the transfer's fault tho. Juve did poorly in recruiting new talents, and that's not Ronaldo's fault. You can work around with a low budget and still had better talent recruitment than Juve did. And also, Inter, Milan and Napoli were all on the way up, so the eventually titles lost is not entirely on the transfer of Ronaldo.
This is the first time I’ve seen you get a list wrong mate.
Man Utd allowing Paul Pogba to go for free to Juventus and then to resign him for £100m was the mugging of the century
They didn't allow him and it wasn't a free. He moved for Compensation (few million) at the end of his contract, he just wasn't good enough at United first time and had personality wasn't great. Leaving United to Juve was the kick his career needed, similar to Gnabry.

A UCL would have been worth it to PSG all that money but without it and getting nothing for his transfer? He's not the best +100m singing.
Kane above Ronaldo for doing his best but coming short contradicts what you said about Cristiano not helping an aging juventus
Kane still has time to win stuff
Surely you can see how a player who left the club without achieving his goals vs a player who is still at the club actively working towards that goal right? right? something he even acknowledges in the video....
Did you just miss the part where he emphasizes the fact that one of the transfers has been concluded while the other hasn't?
Kane's wages didn't sink Bayern like Ronaldo, and he's still in his second season
@@darthmalgus9039bc it’s a bs reasoning.
Bale should be #1, def higher than Mbappe(didn’t win the CL which you used against Ronaldo’s case) and Bellingham too early to be higher than Bale
Yeah but Mbappe 17 and wasn’t supposed to be THE signing that helped them to get the CL, compared to Ronaldo, who was one of the 2 best players in the world at that point and had just won 3 CLs in a row.
@@nicolaischweizer3708 so they paid 180million for winning Ligue1 which they were already dominating. That makes the transfer way too bad if you say like that. Not like they got him for a bargain. To only extend for more money in bonuses and lose him for free. :)
Ngl, Grealish and Caicedo are too high. No way a 100 goal scoring Ronaldo is below these two
Edit: Anything below TOP 10 is fitting but car crash since hitting 10th. Caicedo didn't play as good as Enzo overall, Ronaldo scoring feat had way more impact than a Man City sidekick, and the proven success of Bale should put him way ahead of Bellingham, and for me higher than Mbappe as well.
Ronaldo's image is extremely important too. His jersey sales are a huge money maker for his clubs. He elevates the imageof the clubs he goes to in other countries.
Caicedo has been better than Enzo for Chelsea
Caicedo should be rock bottom of the list with his short legs lol
Caicedo has been great for the last ~20 games for chelsea, much better than Enzo
1. Clearly you’ve never watched a Chelsea game this season or the 2nd half of last season. Caicedo has been genuinely world class since the end of last season and Enzo has been dreadful and can’t run at all. Aside from Palmer, Caicedo is the clear next best player on the team. Please go watch Caicedo’s recent matches and then come back.
2. Please ask any juve fan about Ronaldo and how much worse he made them with his useless build up and non existent pressing.
3. This list clearly heavily weighs future potential/sell on and wages. Caicedo is still only 22 on a rising Chelsea team where he not only has several years left at the club but they can make at least most of his fee back selling him and makes nowhere near Ronaldo’s wages. Ronaldo was bought at 33 and sold for basically nothing and was on more than 4x more wages Caicedo’s wages.
Whatever you were smoking before you made this list must have been incredible.

Gareth Bale was a great 100m signing. he won 3 consecutive CLs. What else do you want?
Coutinho going on loan to Bayern and scoring and assisting against Barca was honestly hilarious
Also, Liverpool signing MacAllister for 35m before Chelsea picked up Enzo and Caicedo for a combined 220m is honestly hilarious
Liverpool are probably the smartest top team in terms of the actual financial part of a transfer in the last years.
Klopp's entire scouting structure relied on looking for team players, who were overlooked by the mass to get massive bargains out of them.
Here in germany the very much image crushing move to RB Leipzig will absolutely benefit the club from a structural standpoint that something like a dystopian Red Bull dynasty isn't too unrealistic with knowledge of Klopp's splendid work in the past.
Funny how Alfie talks about added losses in wages but excludes commercial gains made by the club. I.e Ronaldo,Pogba Neymar. Too much personal bias in the list

Tbf i think you might have been a bit harsh on Enzo. I mean, yes, he hasn't quite been up to the 120M price tag (like almost every player on this list, and every signing Chelsea has made except for Cole Palmer), but he has shown glimpses of why they paid that much money for him, and even though Chelsea struggle to find his role in the midfield, he still creates a couple of good chances per game thanks to his great ball distribution and spatial awareness. That's why i think that focusing on the chant incident might not reflect how he's been for Chelsea, as he wasn't the one who started it and every Frenchman in the squad has forgiven him already (although i should clarify that the chant isn't exactly racist in on itself, it highlighted how France uses its former colonies and influence in the African continent to strengthen their national team, which further weakens the already troubled national teams from CAF. I'm not trying to justify Enzo's actions or anything, just wanted to highlight the true intentions of the chant), with Chelsea even granting him the Captain's armband. Now, it is true that there have been matches where he looked slow or that he couldn't connect passes like he usually does, but i think that's because Enzo is still adapting to Maresca's style of play, with him being in a much more offensive role as a number 10 when Chelsea is on the attack, and not dropping back to help the link up play like he used to do under Pochettino. Anyways, basically what I'm trying to say is that he has basically been as important to Chelsea's midfield as Caicedo has been, each in their separate role obviously, which is why i think that they should be next to each other on the list, either towards the top or the bottom of the rating, because even though both had rough stints from time to time, their impact on Chelsea's midfield is undeniable
Whilst Jude has achieved everything in Madrid and he did say that he wants to spend 10-15 years there and I hope he does and he might get his wish considering how good they lock down players, Mbappe became the greatest player for PSG, maybe I'm biased but he did become that in most people's eyes. And now hopefully he turns out better for Madrid.
I would rank Coutinho as the worst because you can trace a connection between his signing and Barca's two most embarrassing UCL nights (4-0 to Liverpool and 2-8 to Bayern)
How is Anthony not 1st? He has more goals in there whole of the 21st century than some of the greatest forwards if all time, including Di Stefano, Maradona, Van Basten and Pele
He‘s never lost a game he’s won.
Bro ain't no way Alfie just said caicedo has a higher ceiling than rice... Blud wtf
Bellingham is so overrated. Good guy, really good player but nothing anywhere near Bale. The impact and talent is not comparable, love ur content Alfie but this is a bad take.

he then went on to play for Olympique Lyon, Valencia, Liverpool, Aston Villa and others, he is still playing in Thailand

Real Madrid have had no end of top quality players but they have also had notable flops signed from the EPL such as Michael Owen' Nicholas Anelka' Steve McManaman' Eden Hazard who were all considered talented players at their previous club but they just couldn't seem to do it for Real Madrid for whatever reason Anelka in particular never seemed to be able to regain the form that helped to contribute to Arsenal winning the double in the 1997/98 season and Michael Owen was blighted by injuries which curtailed his career
Mcmanaman didn't flop in Madrid, they loved him there. He was forced-out by the galactico era.

The measure of a signing should be 1. Did u achieve why we bought you? 2. Did u add value or improve the club? 3. Did you elevate yourself there?
I agree with bellingham being high, grealish and declan rice. But theres only one CLEAR winner. And thats Gareth Bale. It seems a if youtube bloggers are too influenced by mainstream media. You started with stats and achievements. Real madrid signed Ronaldo in 2009, Kaka etc.. They hadnt won the champions league since 2002, then Bale arrived in 2013. Real Madrid won the champions league in his 1st season. his 3rd season, his 4th season, his 5th season. The Champions League. Bale played in all 4 finals, scored the winning goal in two of those four, and score in the shootout for a third final. he scored 81 goals in 176 matches, thats almost 50%. And you talk about relationship with the fans? Not to mention, he struggled with injuries too & didnt get along well with all the coaches. 4 Champions leaague titles in 5 years... your list is flawed bro
I don’t think the people in the comments are good note of Alfie’s criteria. This list is actually pretty consistent because it’s not based purely on the performance of the player at the club. If Antony was placed that high and then you had Bellingham bellow Bale for example it wouldn’t make sense but talent and economic possibilities and factors (for other signings) play a role too.
Big ups to my man for speaking up.
You can’t win sometimes. Bale was instrumental in 4 Champions League wins but gets demoted for being outcast by the club despite him not being the problem.
The main issue I find with some players on this list are that higher rank players are still playing for the club that sign them for 100 million. So the chances of them being the best players for the next 5 years is as likely as they are to be injured. With more and more games it is likely some of these players won’t reach their full potential. So having the likes of Neymar and Ronaldo be as low as they are in my opinion disgraceful. As well take into account that players like Rice, Caicedo won’t have the same amount of impact to the club as Neymar and Ronaldo would both on the pitch and marketing wise.
With a 100 million you could fund the New Zealand Defense force for a year.
Im assuming currency being used is Euros? (You can have a larger list)
Surely Mbappe represented the best "value" out of all the 100m plus players? Seconded by Bale (shame the last few years if his time at Real Madrid fell apart, otherwise he'd be top).
Im also working on the assumption the Ronaldo to Madrid transfer wasnt 100m.
My unpopular opinion is that coutinho was completely scapegoated for barcas failings purely because he was the most expensive player in the spree that sent them bankrupt
Hazard inclusion makes me sad, he could still boss it now but the guy just didn’t care for the extreme life the very top players need
Think you rated pogba too highly on the list, if you look at his contributions over 4 seasons where they won the Europa league, and league cups etc, he’d start every game. don’t get me wrong overall yes the move was bad, the revenue Manu got from his merchandising and his genuine great moments I think trump a move like jao Felix’s or others
I hope more 100M+ signings fail, so thay this ridiculous market could calm the fuck down.
I know his time wasn’t that good, but Pogba’s transfer to Utd wasn’t that bad to be 13th. He carried Man Utd’s outfield for years, even lead them in all stats in 17/18 i think. He won multiple trophies and was injury ridden.
Definitely a better transfer than Felix etc
100 and something million for a 33 year old is absolute insanity and should rank him near the bottom of this list. As a Juve fan, I have deep regrets about that signing! Ffs it was hard to watch Juve those 3 years. Everything changed after his arrival...and absolutely for the worse.

Mbappe on Nr1 and Bellingham on Nr2 is MADNESS. Compare their success and contribution in decisive matches to Gareth Bale. Bale was one of the catalysts in the most brutal winning-machine in modern football, Bellingham is a 20yo at the beginning of his carreer and Mbappé more or less failed in an attacking trio with a combined paycheck close to 200m€ per season.
You put Ronaldo at Nr9 for his negative influence on the team performance and financial influence, but you completely ignore these things when it comes to Mbappé, those two transfers should be very close to each other on the list. Also Caicedo, Neymar (for 222m€!!!), Grealish higher than Ronaldo is insane. And Griezmann lower than Antony, Coutinho, Lukaku, Enzo is simply wrong.
Grealish was starting every game in a treble-winning season. Kane scores a lot but will leave Bayern for nothing.
If you pay 100 mill in football and the player leaves after 4 years for nothing, that's not a loss of 100million. There is something called Amortization. And oh yeah, marketing returns.
This video is both soooo good and depressing at the same time. Such great talents on this list but things don’t always work out
So ronaldo to juventus for 100 mil is 9 for not winning the champions league. But neymar for 222 mil - 90 mil (still more expensive than 4onaldo) and not winning the champions league which was the goal all while loosing the league to lille lands him closer to the top
Proud to support a club who don't feature on this list (other than as the selling club).
