This Challenger SRT Ghoul is no longer just an April Fools joke. It became a reality thanks to the group of car builders at Speedcore Performance Group. This Challenger based domestic supercar has the most powerful crate engine ever produced right under the hood. 1,000 horsepower of Hellephant powers this beast. How do those exhaust valves work in this application? It looks like closing this valve would completely close the exhaust pipe and choke the engine since it doesn't have an alternate usually unrestricted path.
They are exhaust cutouts. When open, it dumps the exhaust out before the muffler so it's actually louder than the straight through "muffler"
@@natricjol "Right out before the muffler" The valve is located after the muffler in this application. Do you have a time stamp showing these "Dumps".

@@Frantissimo No sir not electronic cut outs. It has some valves but not cut outs. You unbolt the muffler and put in the straight pipe when you want it fully open.

@@devinswanson1752 It's a factory Hellcat built by dodge to start, then modded by a performance group to achieve 1k hp. You'd think there wouldn't be any need to swap out the exhaust unless it ain't loud enough.
@@mjkasper76 ok, yes it's a factory built Hellcat and then this shop pulled the Hellcat motor and then put in the Helephant motor and again this car was not built by Dodge and Dodge is not going to make a Ghoul
@@devinswanson1752 I wouldnt be so sure... A couple of Chrysler execs have repeatedly stated that as electric takes over, the Hemi/Hellcat will go out wirh a bang not a whimper. And most speculation points to the Hellephant. Especially since the engines been going through emissions certification... So whether or not its called a Ghoul...who knows?? But expect that 1000hp engine in a production car before electric takes over!!
