Got some corrections from the dev! Good info in case you're looking to use this, yourself.
Some tips:
The tally is a kind or sort of "audio" tally, useful for adjusting the cameras without having to look at the screen, you can listen when the switch happens instead of looking at the main screen.
I know tally always is a visible signal, but hew in YDAI acts as a sound signal.
The delay applies only to out of scenes, expressed in seconds, useful for delaying a bit and preventing false out of scenes.
The speed of switching is pure algorithm and automatic cant be changed, anyway can speedup a little bit cranking to maximum the CPU/GPU usage knob, when the knob is at maximum, the latency is reduced a few milliseconds, but cpu and gpu usage increase.
I analyze to add a more reactive mode, but faster the switcher reacts more easily to obtain unwanted switch changes, anyway can be an option.
Users who do lower gesticulations with their head can take advantage of this option.
And the most important tip, the block/unblock hotkey, works by tapping in this way.
Press the hotkey 2 times to lock.
Press hotkey 1 time to unlock.
In this way you do not have to remember what is the last status or if it is locked or not locked.
The red led ON indicates status blocked.
❤
hanging a few slotted unistruts would help to easily adapt and make changes to your constant changing setup.
@@ToxicTurtlePoop nah, I think hanging stage trusses or lightning bars would better match his aesthetic.
He does loads of neat looking stuff and I'm just like... I'm not sure what I would do with that myself LOL. He's so far of ahead of me!!
This is almost an overwhelming amount of cool all at once. First off your main camera quality is insanely high. I would honestly be afraid to show myself in that high resolution 😆 Second you make me want to go and build out some dope setup with multiple angles and cameras and then I remember I can't even get over my feeling of "it won't be perfect so I won't even stream". Crazy impressive setup though, excited to see more of it, signed up for Nebula to see more of your stuff too!
Dude this is SO SICK. If I can get this to trigger switching virtual cameras in Mtion Studio it would be freakin incredible!
That first camera is crazy sharp! Your multi cam set-up is really neat.
This is an excellent video dammit. Well done.
Haha thank you
Yo, a friend makes a pod cast and spends hours editing in post. Is there a way to make it so when a certain mic is being used, it swaps scenes in obs to show the camera facing that microphone? It would save so much time for him. Tia, love the channel.
Hey buddy. I have an OBS question. Please help!! I had to offset my mic to match my webcam. My camera and mic are now in sync, but I show the internet while I'm streaming and my camera and mic are now about 300ms behind the internet. Basicall I want to sing along with youtube but there is a delay between me and the internet. Can you help?? I would love you forever!
1.) Is there a way to define a region of the scene for ydai to monitor?
2.) Is CPU/GPU usage more than other OBS scene automation plugin which are near to 0?
3.) Is the audio tally optional, is there an option for visual? How does that really work?
Obviously we could test all these but didn't know if maybe these already have quick answers...
Eposvox you have to update us on what lens you're using for your main! I don't think you ever had a bad shot and I always loved the lighting and dressing of your whole studio, but this new bokeh and bloom, it is so tasty!
Hi EposVox, I have a 2pc setup question. Is there a way to send like 2-3 audio sources from main PC to second PC without mixing them(I would prefer if there is a hardware that does that)? Cause on second PC I want to record them and have them clean for editing.
You can use NDI VST plugin to send audio only between multiple machines, with ultra low latency.
@@SaveTheHuman5 Cool, thanks for the info! I also know about Voicemeeter VBAN so I guess I'll try out both.
Wow, Thanks Adam. How much video card and cpu is needed for decent performance?? .I like your idea about using a separate cpu/system for the ai cameras, It MIGHT simplify, by NOT having to change your existing setup.
OMG THIS IS INCREDIBLE
I want to see what you do with it!
@@EposVox When I get time! Having a 1 year old reaaaalllllllyyyy saps your time. Hoping things get better the older she gets this year!
It does. Slowly, but surely.
Before you explained how this worked I thought it was analyzing all video feeds and switching to the one you were actively looking at/facing towards.
That would also be pretty interesting.
That would unfortunately be too much overhead to analyze all at once - plus occupying the video devices and keeping them from working in OBS. BUT yes that would be the ideal future evolution of this.
@@EposVox Yes, you are right, that result on a really higher resource usage, anyway this is just the begining and some cool things are coming in the upcoming versions across 2023.
Interesting. So I could do a simple... "when I'm facing my camera, switch to full cam view otherwise use the display scene". Huh. This will be very nice for setups like yours.
I'm not sure how well it would come out on youtube, but have you ever thought about doing a sort of ultimate encoder settings comparison? Like, x264 with your secret sauce settings vs. without, vs GPU encoding on AMD and NVIDIA? I'm sure there are videos on it already and you have individual videos covering them, but it'd be pretty cool to have an ultimate guide for people to look to that goes over the quality and consistency of each. Maybe with different bitrates too. Then again, it's enough work that it would probably have to be something of a passion project
I have done it multiple times lol. I have an updated one coming - just like you said, takes an absurd amount of time for something that is a 2 sentence answer.
Thanks for the video. I really liked this.
that lag while running over to the art station would be cool if it could only be fore while getting over there but stops when you get there
also looks like a really cool concept can't wait to hear how you did this

That is lush set up 🤩
This is sick!
The baby triple header for the win.
Sweet, Linus may still need a person to tell him to put the pc build he's working on back in frame during livestreams.
there is also a AI to Track PTZ Cameras
Yo when you said that at 13:32 , I felt it in my soul. when ever I'm looking for stuff around the house I feel the same 🤣🤣
This is really cool
Is this compatible with Websocket 5.0 as I've upgraded to OBS 29 and primarily use that, am I able to use both at the same time? This would be convenient when recording my podcast as I can give different angles and a more serious tone when looking towards the other camera without the cut scenes
It uses the older websockets, but you can use both at the same time
@@EposVox Thanks for the speedy response, not just going to try and mess around with and rewatch your video like 800 times lol
very dank thank you as always!
My pleasure!
Excellent video! Now we need video about the new AMD drivers that have improvements in the rx6000 series for streaming. 👀👀
soonTM
and now for something completely different - how happy are you with the arcade1up thingy? seen people complaining that it's not big enough for 2 adults to play simultaneously and the stock controls are less than ideal for the job...
Hehe, with each video I finished watching in this past hour, this video got a new title!
@10:25 ... if this was switching faster and capturing your face instantly fast and exact position( no delay) then this would be better than the insta 360 link auto follow made in their built-in software.
This may not seem like a huge deal to some, but this could drastically change production for tv shows.
Big Brother, eat your heart out.
Also, on PrntScrn, would love to see user interface advancements that changed us, not only hardware. ‘Pinch-to-zoom’ for instance changed everything.
@@ryanleethomas lol
I had this idea of this with changing scenes, but if elgato made a remote control that would be wireless, being able to stand and switch scenes, like a streamdeck cool to see that technology is there though to switch scenes automatically but thats pretty temperamental so far hope it gets some updates!
Yeah if they can make a better version of the Twiddler, I’m sold
you can also use Elgato's StreamDeck on your phone and pay them monthly/yearly
you can just use the integrated streamerbot deck on your phone :P
Hello epos this video is awesome would you recommend me a xlr mic that is good to pair with a xlr wave interface?
Depends on your budget! For cheaper mics, Elgato’s own Wave DX is a great dynamic mic to pair with it. If you’re looking higher end, the Earthworks Ethos is top-class
I'm glad that I haven't been infected with the multi cam sickness that you are suffering from.
Ain’t no suffering here, only fun
Hello. Would you be able to look into recent (the newest 23.2.1 AMD driver) encoding performance improvements for 6000 series AMD cards. H264 and H265 got some performance boost and I was wondering if you could benchmark that and compare it to previous drivers. Would be interesting to see.
It looks great, and I downloaded a copy, but it looks like it will be heroin-ware (an old term from the "shareware" days), get the free sample, get addicted, pay for a subscription every anniversary of when you downloaded it.
I have a question, my pc outta nowhere stop recognizing my hyperx quadcast microphone, (says it malfunctioned) I've tried restarting, uninstalling, reinstalling, updating drivers, and etc. But it just wont recognize it anymore..Im lost.
Have you tried other USB ports and cables?
It’s either the cable or the mic after all the things you tried.
@@EposVox yes
Then that’s an email for HyperX
What mic do you use?
In this video, it was the Neat Mics King Bee II
Great video. Dude you have a ton of products lol
Can u please recommend cameras that i Can use for this set up please 🙏🏼 thanks for the video
Not sure I understand the question. Literally any camera would work
@@EposVox any camera to recommend 🙏🏼? Bro u are the best ✅
@@EposVox thanks for answering
I’m a huge fan of the Razer Kiyo Pro Ultra and Insta360 Link for higher end, Elgato Facecam and Razer Kiyo Pro for the $100 range
As much as I enjoy your content the pro mist filter is a bit strong. I gotta wear double my prescription glasses to watch.
It's really not. It's the second-lowest strength and there are multiple other comments talking about how the main cam (the only one with promist on it) is super sharp lol
You're def sharp and in focus. Personally I use the 1/8 strength myself at times. It still tricks my eyes tho lol 😅. Anyhow that wasn't meant to be a jab, just a poorly landed attempt at humor. I'm a big fan and srsly learn a lot from your channel.
How you clean this room from dust xd
Wont work on me, tech not good enough.
Nice setup. Have similar. Cables are great! Not.
Wat
So i really like your content. But the birddog NDI cameras are so out of budget for like 99,999999% of the average streamers that its not even funny. The smallest one is 1.500$. So the idea is pretty amazing but i like your more budget friendly content way way more because there so many people out there who actually can learn and use that stuff.
Like what happened with mics in the past year is just mindblowing. If i think about how much money i spend on dumb mics that don't really work....
I mean, you can put literally any camera there. Doesn’t have to be Bird Dog. Just what I use. The thing this video is ACTUALLY about is completely free. Doesn’t get more budget than that.
Plus I have coverage of a cheaper PTZ alternative coming soon anyway
