Sir… go compete in a weighted calisthenics events with numbers like that. Plus I am sure you will have the biggest squat out of all. Dont see much against you winning to be honest. Crazy.
One thing that I would add is for (supinated)pull-ups…..if your gonna deadhang them for strictness sake than work that range slowly ….It’s like the deadlift with a supinated arm many tear biceps that way
Currently dealing with some elbow tendonitis, which hampers my pullups. Looking forward to getting past this so I can get pullups back into my programming.
Try doing them with fatgripz. I have had alot of luck reducing my elbow tendinitis by replacing tricep pressdowns with overhead cable tricep extensions, hammer curls with fatgripz and more regular and behind the back forearm curls.
@@F-Tier_Physique maybe it depends on whether the issue is the medial epicondyle (golfers elbow) or the lateral epicondyle (tennis elbow) but I tried fat grips and it felt worse to me. Thanks for the suggestion, though, I always appreciate anything that might help!
@Angel Ripoll … Not sure how effective, but found the following video: Starting Strength - How To Heal Elbow Tendinitis - Starting Strength Radio Clips ruclips.net/video/w2MA5cRxyG0/видео.html
The only thing I’ve had be helpful so far is using rings for my pull-ups and really focusing on rotating my arms naturally for more of a neutral grip. Chin-ups and pronated grips seem to make it worse. The neutral grip puts the elbow in the least stressed position, at least for me. I had some success with low volume and using rings but once it felt better I rushed progress again too quickly and it returned. Working through it again now
Week 5 of 12 dark horse can confirm 100% of sessions contain pull ups or chin ups. He's not kidding haha. Side note Brian do you have any tips or videos link for lower back soreness during a heavy deadlift day with volume when it's only one side of your back? Slight medical background it's my left side and I incidently fractured tibia and fibia bones as a kid. Soreness tends to last a day or two then goes away and it varies so pause deadlifts aggravate it more than block pulls or deficit deadlifts
Hey man thank you for this video. You did an awesome job on it. It is great seeing you still putting out killer content. Stay strong and keep the amazing work my guy.
I'd like to see you find a strongman competition and track your training leading up to it. It would be insightful for us to see how you approach different events. It'd be nice for you to put more of a spotlight on strongman
He’s wrong…you can build up any weighted calisthenics exercise safely….build slowly with progressive overload or simply gain mass while still doing them…many have so It can be done
I just put the finishing touches on my winter program and I added pull-up and dip variations to every gym session. Great minds and all that, I suppose!
Hey Brian I’m always grateful for your advice on pull ups from a video you did a few years ago. It took me from 0 pull ups to 6 reps! Greasing the groove really does work!
@@koleary1798 yes that’s the one. I was at zero pull ups was always doing bent over rows and lat pull downs. Then I became determined last year to finally ditch the lat pull down and do proper pull ups & chin ups. Followed all his advice from that video and can now do 3sets x 6 reps chin over bar pull ups. Took about 8-10 weeks.
@@GreenLifeOmaha_GLO That was not the question. In general, should a person begin to add weight when they can do 3 sets of five, or 3 sets of 10? Just an example
as a calisthenics athlete your pull ups are OP and you are gigantic much love man

Pull ups are the king of Upper body exercises in my personal opinion.
I call them the deadlift of the upper body
Hey ii
Absolute beats for doing 205lbs for 3,damn crazy
Nice one Brian.
Thank you for sharing your experience 👍🏻
You have an incredible back brian!!! That’s is some goals right there 😎
The strongest clap on RUclips!
As always, simple but genius !

Been on 30 pull ups a day since Jan 1. So good!
That’s awesome!!
30 pull-ups is not enough volume especially at a young age to cause problems. Especially if the person is of relative good health
Any plans on doing more volume? I would imagine that your body has adapted to that rep range after doing it everyday for 9 months.
Any tips on bicep pain doing pull-ups?
I love weighted chinups.
I wonder how many pull-ups do you usually do while you are at the gym? Thanks to you and your channel I started doing pull-ups.
Great channel, and great video. Keep it up, my bro !! Huge hug !! 💯🏋🏻♂️

awesome video, brother!

Thank you for amazing content!
Thanks for watching it!
Any recommendations for working through elbow pain from overuse from doing too many pull-ups too often? Thanks for this video!
I would reccomend using ring pullups until the pain leaves👌
You just answered your own question..you're doing too many too often so do less
See kneesovertoes guy
Thank you!
Thank you my friend

You must be new to the channel. Lmao.
Damn 205 for 3 is crazy strong. Ever tested how many you can do in one set?
Nice video 🔥
If you could only do one variation for the rest of your life, which would you choose?
One arm deadhang…haha..but can’t do that YET
Are you all natural?
Coath blaha says weighted pull ups and dips are dangerous and might destroy rotator cuff in the long run.He says bodyweight variations are enough

@Spencer Meyer ass assin …welp …he’s mostly right

What Blaha says is irrelevant. Don't spread his nonsense.
Thank you!
The minute I got 10 pull-ups with no bands…my coach changed it up with 3 count up, 3 count hold, 3 count descend…back on the bands 😂
I see the king post. I watch. I like. I comment.
Am currently in love with neutral grip ones

How many pull-ups should a person be able to do before adding weight for best results, in your opinion?
add 5lb today and 5 the next sess til u find ur spot

Grenade archer and typewriter pull ups are my favorite
Those are fun. They beat up my elbows though
