You're absolutely right. In a similar vein; I got a new job last month. Being comfortable does not lead to growth. Life changes, the world changes, and people need to change.
"You're not livin' unless you're willin' to do some dyin' along the way" Going through some similar changes in my life, but you know what they say, smooth seas don't make good sailors!
Brian, it has been fun watching you grow throughout the years. I have enjoyed learning from your channel. One of the aspects that made me stay with your channel for so many years is how relatable you are, and you "lead by example." Keep up the hard work brother.
Awesome! It takes so much guts to turn your life upside down like you’ve done several times now - but you’ve got so many great stories and have met so many great folks, I’m sure. One of the biggest life lessons I’ve learned is the importance of margin in life - that’s so spot on. Busyness seems like accomplishment in the moment, but there’s so much value in having margin available to help others or to help yourself.
Good for you for stepping up to help where it’s needed. I am experiencing having to spend a lot more time helping my parents with a lot of things (jobs around the house, getting to and from doctors appointments, etc). They sure help us through the years. It’s the least we can do. Enjoy the newest chapter, brother!
Glad to see you and your loved ones are doing well, Brian. In Hindu and Buddhist philosophies, the bigger your desires, the bigger your problems, and the bigger your losses. Listening to your story, I remembered this. I'm glad that you are downsizing, and that way you can focus your time and energy on what really matters: your health, your loved ones, and your mission. God bless, my friend
My dude, I am in a similar season! I've been in fitness for nearly 17 years. My buddy Gordon S (you played baseball with him) told me I HAD to follow you, and I'm glad I did. Your videos are always fantastic and value-packed. Funny enough, I am also considering going back to school to become a therapist/counselor. At 45 years old the proposition is horrifying, but the urge won't stop nagging me.
@@BrianAlsruheOfficial one of the best. My first personal training client all the way up to the best man at my wedding. We talked last night and he still speaks really highly of you in many domains of life. I’m stoked to hear more about your journey into therapy/counseling as I decide if I’m making the transition. Thanks for your inspiration in many ways!
Hey Brian, I wish you keep improving and keep getting better, you inspire me a lot. Its amazing how, even dealing with those health issues you have been dealing, you still have like 10 times more muscle mass than I lol that inspires me to work hard and try to improve too. Thanks for all your great videos, and congratulations on having a wife who seems to be always at your side no matter what, that is so great to see
I really admire that mindset. I currently even know two ladies, who are both 50 years old and are trying to get into completly new career paths. You really can and should try to change and better yourself at any age, so life stays exciting.

I was shaking my head yes the whole time saying out loud yes, finally someone who knows lol! Love your videos and look forward to following your new adventures!!
Great great news brother! At 52, I’ve been through 5 chapters of life myself. Change IS growth when you have a goal. I wish you and your family all the best. Can’t wait for the new content!
I absolutely agree, brother! A goal without a plan is only a dream and dreams rarely come true. Like you said, having a purpose and destination and a plan to get there can make you achieve a lot.
Preach it, Brian! Im so glad to hear that you are getting the most out of the recent changes. I’m watching this with my newborn, she doesn’t get how great this channel is but she will someday! If you ever make a “suffer beautifully” onesie, count me in!

Congratulatons on the move, Brother! My wife & I have been wanting to do so for a long time, too, but haven't gotten around to it yet (31 in the same house). Glad you were able to do so! 👍

Hey Brian. It’s good to hear you’re doing well. Your positivity and good outlook is wonderful. I love your channel and appreciate your sincerity and honesty. Will keep following and watching. I wish you the best brother.
Thank your for this video. It really resonates with me. If you want to grow as a person, you need to make drastic changes. I had to make some hard decisions myself last year for the family. Wanted to go in the intelligence field, but how you said, life happens in seasons and right now I am needed at home, not overseas. I am happy you are not so isolated anymore, because I know society needs good men like you. Stay save and healthy brother!
Change is good !!! In all aspects of life ! Smaller and less maintenance for a dwelling space is good too ! For sure! To be able to close the door and be in the world.
Big fan Brian! Glad to hear about the changes your going through, and especially about your interest in therapy. I think it would be great to hear more about your journey. Therapy has been very important to me in recent years, so it's very nice hearing that you're coming into the field.
One could only dream to have all that. A lot of us would trade lives with you in an instant. But I get it. You gotta stay on the forward path and follow your purpose. Looking forward to the next chapter.
Your thoughts about making changes so that you grow when you feel like you’re stagnating are so real. I feel like changing scenery also really helps to make time feel longer for me because I have different locations that act as milestones within my memory.
