I also grew up in the dirt oval life, which is what brought me here 😂 We mainly had sprint cars and midgets (yes, thats actually the name of them) ... but we did run a crate late model a few seasons. The class you are referring to right around the 2 min mark is called the "Street Stock" class. Or as my grandpa called it, "A demo derby where everyone drives in the same direction"
This came out really cool! It has the look of the real thing too me,I went every Saturday night growing up to the dirt track in Phoenix with my dad.👍🏿👍🏿
stiffen it up a lot and cut more front fender out, I've had to do that with my slash but it still works really nice. another option I used on my second one I bought some rallycross tires and wheels 3.14 inch I know the pattern might look like a rally car, you can find something somewhere the same size if you're going to use it as a basher. you could also use it in a rookie class or open class at your local dirt oval track even though it has the rally tires. The tracks in my area run rally cross on the roval it has jumps in the infield so they shouldn't have any issue with them being on the track since they are made for dirt.
If you want to raise the slash all you have to do is take out the shocks and struts and springs out so how you want them the travel will still be the same but the springs will be stiffer so it’s higher off the ground that’s what I did with mine
We used to race them on our dirt track at Mills Pond. And had our 8th scale truggies and buggies racing with different classes too.Sure miss it..Since this virus crap our park and the area we raced on has been taken over for testing and all that mess. Was a well maintained track until we were told it will be awhile before we could use our track again. All the work done to maintain one of the best tracks around just ruined now.Oh well what we gonna do.we just have to deal with when we are allowed to get back to racing. Thanks for doing a oval car
If your still in the Dallas area. Indy rc world in garland runs oval on Friday nights. 1/10 scale buggy street stocks is a big thing but the short course size would be put in a run what you bring class.
I have the same brand tires on my old losi xxxbk2 that I converted to an oval car also. No tracks close to me either so made a small oval track in my back yard
Stretching the springs out it would seem that it is not a professional way to do it but it looks very professional and it works very well the only thing is that it’s easier to roll when you’re doing really fast but I have a really fast battery at mine so it might not do the same
I like these kinda vids and I am diggin how it looks. Very nostalgic. Branching out is always a good thing usually. As long as it’s rc, it’s a good thing. Lol. Keep up the good work. 😁👍
U could still do it for dale, just an older livery. He drove the blue n yellow wrangler car before he drove #3 gm goodwrench car. Cant remember waht number the wrangler car was though
Bruh you should get that flame tattoo on your arm reworked. Someone could really lay some nice ones over top of that home made one you got. No disrespect. Nice video, love the build! 👍🏼🤟🏼🤟🏼
I like this it looks huge, I wonder how it compares to the Oval racer that Associated have recently released as a RTR, I like it but here in the UK there is know where that does it, I don't think, the drag racing has not made much impact here either, the Oval is using a lot of parts their No Prep drag car uses.
Looks good on camera sometimes that’s all that matters 😝👍🏽 I paint my Lexan race bodies with all the care and speed a yellow Taxi gets at Macco 😂 I mean it’s probably gonna get trashed racing and having fun anyway so why waste all that time and energy for maybe 3-4 race days (sometimes 1) if I race a big event either I have a pro paint it up or I spend a little more time on it
Hey brother. You should start practicing driving with one hand and filming with the other lol you could get some better driving shots that way. If you hold the controller in your left hand then you can use your thumb to steer. And if you need it theres somebody (i cant remember who) that makes a little tool/insert tab thing that goes onto the steering wheel that makes it easier to steer with your thumb. Rc4wd talks about it in some of his older videos i believe.
It so therapeutic to take the top plastic wrap off a finished body 😁
There's a huge following for the street stock class here on the east coast 👍

멋진 rc 자동차 바디를 만들었네요. 정말 잘 만들었어.잘했어요 👍👍👍👍💯
Just found out about oval racing and there is a track kinda close by this video was very helpful.
Pro line has adjustable body mounts . That's what I have on late model and drag cars .Pro-line Part # 6070-00
horizon hobby or amain hobby is where its at they sell alot of good stuff, nice build btw
Long as your having fun.it doesn’t matter bud.
I'm running mudboss bodies on mine. Like there no place known to me around Redding Ca. So I'm making a small oval in my backyard.

SOOOO KOOOOOLLLLL.
Lot of work and time.
Awesome work as always.
Street stock/ hobby stock, we run them here in iowa all the time
I turned a Losi mini b into a late model with the HackFab conversion kit. Prolly one of my favorite RC’s!
And since this comment I now have three 1/10 scale dirt oval cars now. Haha.

Oh yeah devils bowl is still thriving as it ever has. World of outlaw sprints April 2nd.
Nice! Didn’t know they did oval racing. I’m an hour and a bit east of dfw for now. Will have to check it out.

One way rc said it right. We use proline adjustable rear mounts for the shark bodies . There 19.99
The xl5 will take a lipo you have to change the setting on the esc wich is easy .
I got excited thinking you'd found a fox-chassis Cougar body! But looks like it's just a Monte.

Man I have been wanting to for along time. Havent found any artists willing to take it on. No one around here wants to do rework.
Nice work well done looks good 👍

@@RCeveryday Thanks I got your information . Do they run Slash 4x4 too in this class of racing?
Thunder bombers
If you still tinker with it, have you seen jbtrickle studios? He's got great how to vids
Check out oval rc's video's, he's got vids on conversions and parts he used
I race devil's bowl
Haha! Nice man, I havent been there since the mid 90's. Going to have to go check it out sometime, my dad still lives around there.
