    I'm 46 and have a little riding experience from when I was younger. I passed the MSF last year and bought a slightly used MT-03 from a local dealership at a decent discount. One test ride and I was sold. I love how high revving the bike is. You can easily shift at recommended rpms and chug around the city, but when you want to get a bit rowdy it's definitely there for you. I'm sure I'll outgrow it some day, but for now it's fantastic.

    Awesome list of bike for beginners. I have a RE Himalayan since 2016 and done quite a few miles on it. I can safely say it is the perfect all-rounder bike. Its my daily commute to office and weekend get away with loads of luggage carrying capacity. The long suspensions and cushy seats makes it effortless for the longer rides. Its also good for occasional off-roading (even with the stock tyres). Cheers to all new riders, make sure to get good helmet and riding gears . Those are equally important as the bike.

    I see nothing wrong with this list. All are legitimate considerations for a beginning rider. All the caveats were presented clearly. You even presented some excellent choices for taller riders. It covers the spectrum. I could spend all day adding possible choices like Yamahas two dual sports for shorter riders, but honestly these lists are meant to give options of thought to new riders and you did that well with some excellent examples in each category. You also included lots of brands and different looks to give new riders an overview of styling. Great job. Thank you.

I couldn’t believe how uninterested they were in making a potential sell. Just turned about 1500 miles on it and I’m so glad I got it. I had absolutely no interest in a Harley Davidson and now I freaking love their bikes! I would still like to check out a CB500x btw! Personally started with a little Yamaha Scorpio 225, great little bike. Was produced back in the mid 2000’s so had push start and kick start, as well as side stand and centre stand. Just for those I’d recommend one. Plus it was okay if you dropped it and can teach you the basics of riding. I then moved to a Suzuki gs 500g. Handles like a 1000cc bike. Feels big and heavy, weighs 200kg. Upside of that, is that you can then jump on those bigger bikes and you don’t have to learn riding style m, just throttle control

      If you really like the grom then stick with it although I think they are more suited more for riding on city roads to get around town. If your riding at high speeds on your commute then I would suggest an older 600cc bike because they just feel easier to ride than 400cc unless you have funds to buy new

      I had my heart set on a grom as well and actually went with a Honda crf250L instead and I am so glad that I did! It offers so much more power and is just so fun in comparison. I haven’t personally rode a grom, but I’ve seen them riding past and they seem so small and underpowered in comparison. I have about a 20 minute commute that I use my 250l for and it makes it so enjoyable!!

    Ever since my moped days were "over" since i moved over to using a car, i've always wanted a bike, it makes me so jealous hearing bikers cruise around town during perfect summer weather, im just itching to get out there but i do need to get a license for it first.
    Im a pretty big guy though (6ft1 and 135kg) so i've been doing a lot of research for the ideal bike, i still have my moped (2005 gilera 50rcr) and that thing has ridiculous amounts of torque, despite my size that thing makes me feel like a feather and is very comfy to drive but obv it cant be compared to a proper bike.
    Im not looking for a new bike, idm it being early 2000s as long as it could accomodate a large fella comfortably.

Super cheap, best gas mileage, tons of storage, no clutch, park anywhere, small wheels means very nimble, least maintenance (no chain, 1 cylinder, air cooled, etc), narrow for lane splitting, easy riding position, bench seat for passengers, cheapest insurance, best shielding from elements

    What do think about the Honda NC750X, it's available with DCT which I think is pretty cool and price yet below 10 grand. It might look like it's not a beginner bike because it has a 750cc motor and cost almost twice as much as some of the smaller engine bikes you names but it has some pretty good features and you actually get a lot of bike for the money.
    I'm concidering getting one as daily commuter, Honda moved tha tank under the seat and put a decent storage compartment instead of the tank, this great for commuting because you don't necessarily need an additional case or back bag to put your stuff! Also does it feature different drive modes for different road conditions which helps during rain or offroad rides. But the highlight for me is the (optional) Honda DCT which does make commuting even more fun. I know this is controversal because shifting is some kind of holy grale for some bikers but honestly I don't mind as long as I'm driving on the road and be save. With the DCT you still be able to shift completly manually but youd dont't need a clutch or your left foot which reduces sources of error. Should you learn to ride manual transmission? SURE but is it always better to drive manual? I don't think, at least not if the system works and the Honda DCT does work very very good from what I heard so far. It took some years but now it's ready to challange manual tranmissions on all bikes and Honda is pushing it, the new Africa has it available, the new X-ADV has it and there will be more in the future.

    • @BurtoniMotors
      @BurtoniMotors  Год назад

      The NC750X or the CB500X are great choices. I think knowing how to use a clutch is important but if you plan on staying with a DCT transmission for the future, no real need. I’ve ridden the Africa Twin DCT and it took a few days to get used to it, but if you aren’t constantly looking for that lever, you’ll be fine.

    • @TheNightstalker80

      @@BurtoniMotors wow, thanks for the quick response! As I mentioned, you should definitely learn to drive a manual transmission because it’s still found ob most bikes and you would not lock yourself out of these options haha. However, I learned driving years ago on a regular bike but as you get older other things become more relevant and as long as I‘m just going from A-B I definitely don’t need to shift manually to feel good haha.
