Oh Mr. Sproul. How you make me weep in gratitude for the life transforming lessons you've taught us to live by and carry forth so others may find Redemption.
Please forgive me. I know it's sinful to dwell in the past instead of looking to the future....but wouldn't it be great even for a minute, to go back in a time machine and be part of the audience and learn from Dr. Sproul? Thank you Lord.

The Word of the Almighty is most precious.
Paul is using a time "honored" method to influence insecure people who are afraid to be looked upon as foolish. But foolish is only the man who falls for this trick.

@@jessyjonas4988 I am not interested in your love letters to god and I respect your faith. But calling a non believer a fool is simply not a valid argument. And still this passage of Paul is so often quoted. But it is nothing but cheap rhethoric.

The Holy Scriptures-
It is God's love letter to me and others who belong to the Kingdom of God
The passage did not call them fool but that to them the wisdom of God seems foolishness to them
BUT
The foolishness of God is wiser than men
And the weakness of God stronger than men
1. It’s our duty to study the Bible
2. It is our privilege to do so
Knowing Scripture is one of the greatest books I've read...a must read for all Christians on how to properly study the Word of God! Read it!!! You'll be glad you did!!!

We must encourage each other as best we can. I have failed horribly in studying Holy scriptures to rote memory. Yet my Faith in the Word of God has never been stronger.
Because faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.

I would have liked ver much to have had soeone to teach me how to study the Word. Thank the Lord he taught me his word is most important and by trust in the Holy Ghost to guide me lead me to a love for the scripture. Even though I am older I am learning how marvelous ou Sveeign God is. Thank the Lord for our teachers who teach the Holy Sceiptures.

How can anyone get saved and not IMMEDIATELY go read the full Bible? It's mind boggling to me. I'm not saying you're going to fully understand everything. Of course not. We will never, in this life, fully understand every single thing about it. But how can you have this book that gave you life and not be curious what it says?!
I hesitated to give the 666th like on this video. But I guess I'm silly.
Alexander MacLaren also chastised his 19th century parishioners for the shiny pristine unopened bibles placed prominently in their homes.

Wow kind Sir. That title is very interesting...because...
There are different interpretations of almost every bible's verses. And some differences are major; and they go back 'circa 3,500 yrs.
And when we talk about bibles and the English language (which is an IMPERFECT language); after translations of Hebrew and Greek languages (that ARE PERFECT languages); you are going to have differences in important interpretations from Gen to Rev.
And worse: the fact that any translation into English; from Hebrew and Greek languages; must go through a "manuscript" translation! Thus, this means that any English NT in English; has gone from Hebrew>Greek>Manuscript>English to have an English bible.
Thus, a very bad "fact absolute": There are over 3,000 "Denominations, Doctrines, Dogmas," etc; all over the world. And they ALL say, "WE are right and YOU are wrong! And WE get ours from the bible!". Proving the above. Sad but OH so true.
But the good news Is: IF any one wants to study an English bible; simply close your bible first. And then get on your knees and pray to Jesus sincerely; and ask Him for "Wisdom, Understanding and the TRUTH!. And then open your bible!
For IF not: satan WILL cause you to misinterpret your bible incorrectly EVERY time. And again, that is why we have so many different beliefs. But IF you do pray that sincerely; You WILL be learning the TRUTHS. With one major caveat...
NO one will believe what Jesus leads you to learn. And you will rarely ever have another; believing what you have learned. But you will still learn the truths Jesus inspired; and you will throw out the lies that satan inspired.
And You will understand things you can't imagine. And all of the "dots can be "connected" as you learn. Which brings Joy, Happiness and Peace from Jesus! Praise His Holy Name...
...In any case kind Sir, Please Pray OFTEN and Praise Jesus OFTEN; for He is the ONLY true "God Almighty"; there will ever have been. And may Jesus bless you and yours always. AMEN!

Your fault finding simply means it's not for you
You are supposed to put Daniel and Revelation together. Ignore Daniel ot misread it and you will get Revelation wrong, like Sproul's friend Macarthur who has fallen back into dispensation and couldn't be more wrong .
Most of those theologians and philosophers Sproul was so obsessed with were not actually Christian.
Why wouldn't a perfect being inspire his word to be written down so clearly, concisely, and inviolable that even the least cognitive of his children could grasp it without having to resort to apologetics, and grasping allegory, metaphor, translation problems, etc. His 'word' is so vague, ambiguous, contradictory, immoral, and disturbing that it has spawned more than 300 versions in English alone. Even you people can't agree on what it says.
