    👋 Hola, I'm Nate. I used to not know any Spanish at all, and I had no interest in learning the language. I thought learning Spanish would be boring, a waste of time, and would provide no value to my life. Then I started taking Spanish classes in high school and everything changed for me. I struggled with learning the language a lot at first, but thanks to my teachers and my Spanish speaking friends, they helped make the learning process fun. Within a few months, I had gotten to a conversational level, but more important, I had become a more confident person. The real win for me, though, was the friendships I made and strengthened. I discovered that not only did I have higher self esteem, but being out in the real world with people, whether old friends or new ones I met, made me feel more alive and connected with the world around me. Now it's my goal to create videos that make you smile and inspire you to learn Spanish or another language!

    What are you up to? "¿EN QUE ANDAS?" or "¿QUE ESTÁS TRAMANDO?"
    Note the use of quotation marks. This is an interpretation, not quite an idiom, but it's not understood literally.

      @medpoclvr you're absolutely right. I don't know whether to love English because it doesn't have any of these, or to hate it, and the same with Spanish because it has too many and you can never remember to put them all where you should... 😄🫣🙄 I'm telling you, I'm in a love-hate relationship with Spanish. It's my first language, well, because of karma. Y lo utilizo porque... pues ya ni modo! To tell you the truth, I love English, and I don't think I will ever stop learning it or about it.

      @@FireRose.77 I feel you lol! Spanish is also my first language and tbh I was shocked when I first found out that there's no accent mark in English! Been learning the language for 11 years now, I still come across new words and phrases everyday that make my vocabulary even more graceful! Also I think something that really helped me to gradually improve my English skills was to interact with natives speakers here on the Internet. I made some good online friends and I usually tend to use the expressions I learnt from them haha, which makes my English sound more natural! 😊

      Try to listen to Spanish as much as you can As you get more familiar with the Spanish language pronunciation you will be surprised at how much you you will recognize from the English language because English is 60% Latin based, even though English is a Germanic language

    ¿Que haces? WHAT DO YOU DO?
    What are you doing? ¿QUE ESTÁS HACIENDO?
    Just FYI...

    • @RickieBobbie0721
      @RickieBobbie0721 3 месяца назад

      Qué haces? Means, what are you doing? FYI
      Que te haces, means, what do you do
      You include “te” in what do you do. Que te haces. Comprendes?
      Whereas “que haces?” Means what are you doing?
      FYI

    • @FireRose.77
      @FireRose.77 3 месяца назад

      @@RickieBobbie0721 "QUÉ HACES" es presente simple. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" es presente continuo.
      Aunque "¿QUÉ HACES?" podría entenderse en ambas situaciones, con el uso de presente simple o de presente continuo, es más acertado utilizar el presente simple.
      Tu haces - you do
      Tu estás haciendo - You are doing : estás - are + haciENDO - doING
      "¿QUÉ TE HACES?" is "What are you doing to yourself?" (No es necesario usar A TI MISMO porque es redundante, ya que está implicado con el uso de TE)
      Discúlpame por no entender mi propio idioma... 🙄🙄🙄
      PLUS, in "WHAT DO YOU DO?" You're using the first DO as an AUXILIAR VERB. The second DO is the actual VERB "Hacer"
      And just so you know... Translation apps can only help you so far. Can't trust them 100%

    Not discredit your hard work, but you shouldn't claim you speak perfect Spanish. Your pronunciation is far from perfect. Some of your vowels and consonants sound off, as well as the way you emphasize words and ideas. I respect your Spanish skills, though!
