    Maz gave a great interview, loved it! Ya know what else I love: how Stephen hosts his interviews. He's super witty and smart and always saves the day with awkward guests, but he's got no problem pulling all the way back to let someone else have the spotlight when they're on a roll... like no interrupting a good thing, like soooo many other tv hosts with too big an ego to let someone else talk for a bit. One of the best interviewers on the screen today!

    I am not originally from Iran, but my parents were working in Tehran when I was born. I have zero connection with the country, but my parents learnt the language and taught me about it's culture, poetry, food. IRAN & PERSIA as a whole has one of the most sophisticated cultures in our present day world. It is one often of the most beautiful languages ( subjective, I know ). It is so beautiful that it express Philosophy, Science & the Arts in the most fluid & precise manner. Its food... even its peasant cuisine is most regal. AND, let's not get started on Persian ancient history. Much much respect. Khoda-hafez.

    What a gift to America that this man, Maz Jobrani, came here as an immigrant and went on to become an American citizen. WE NEED MORE SUCH IMMIGRATION! To myself as a second generation American born citizen, the grandson of four immigrants (two Irish and two Italian, ALL of whom were repeatedly denigrated as not only un-American, but as living threats to the American Way of Life) this hilariously quick witted AMERICAN CITIZEN WHO WAS AN IRANIAN IMMIGRANT brings a breeze of resuscitating fresh air to my suffocating yet still alive pride in America and what it has always been intended to be at its best, but which has been so very beleaguered by widespread utter ignorance of late about the actual nation building history of American Immigrants.

    Norooz gift is usually $20.00 and it is from EVERY adult, friends & family (aunts and uncles). By the end of the Norooz you can buy all the toys and video games on your own choosing. Cuts all the return after x-mas and the ugly sweaters you might get : )

    Iranians are Aryans. Literally what the word Aryan means. And I consider Ancient Aryan Iranian culture in the Zoroastrian era as one of the most utterly glorious, noble and superior cultures ever. Shame modern Iran does not embrace it.

    • @idrisd2306
      @idrisd2306 7 лет назад +8

      Iranians are Aryan but whites aren't. Europeans wrongly appropriated that name when they share nothing with Iran.
      Iranian culture, unlike Western, is old and pretty continuous. Iranians do embrace it and don't have this complex you're trying to push onto them. Further the most glorious days of Iranians were during the time of Mavlavi (known as Rumi), Hafez, Khayyam, etc... They didn't live during the Ancient days but in the 8th to 14th century, during Islamic time and wrote some of the best literature in history, especially in Iranian history.
      It's not that Iranians don't embrace the ancient world. It's that there is so much to choose from (unlike Western culture which started with the Franks, not the Greek or Romans and was only 1000 years old) and the biggest cultural/intellectual heights for Iranians are not in ancient times.

    • @saeedvazirian
      @saeedvazirian 7 лет назад +2

      Actually modern Iran majorly embraces it. get your facts straight. Even Ayatollah Khomeini and the council that elected him boast about their Iranian identity and their several-century-long history of Iran, which means they DO respect pre-Islamic Iran because great ideas, still used to date, are implemented.
      Don't make up false truths.
