Been on the same pattern now for several weeks. One very good day, then a decent day, then 1 or 2 sales, then 1 or zero sales. Then get the weekly message for top rated plus and their suggestions then two horrible days then the cycle repeats. Getting really old.
Got an ebay violation for hazardous material. It was a lot of fiestaware plates. One of the colors was radioactive red. This kind of nonsense needs to stop!
wait what?.. lol. so radioactive was simply an adjective to describe the color? surely you can fight this nonsense and get it removed right?

I switched from private to business 1 week before Xmas and went from 15k 90 day to 8k. I basically became invisible for 4 weeks, made no sales over Xmas after making 700 last Xmas day alone. It's been a nightmare ever since switching over 😭
My sales crashed last spring when everyone else's did.

One of my friends in high school was obsessed with scott pilgrim! I did not know that about a tv show coming out.

The problems started in April but really showed up in May. Between March and May my net sales fell 33.4%. My gross net profit margin fell from 60% to less than 40%. A lot of it has to do with the items that were selling or not selling. I sell clothes and media. When whatever happened, only low priced items were selling and nothing else. I can also tell when my items are being shown because I start getting sales like crazy. Then the tap turns off and crickets! :P Overall for 2023 my store went from 669 sales per month to 325 by December and December was good compared to the rest of the year. I was also growing my store the first several months when sales crashed.

I loss 10 percent in my sales now I haven’t promoted for months , I do offer a discount on offers. For some reason old products even with best offfer don’t even get touch, I can’t figure this out. It just drops off a cliff. And it still items I would buy again. I might go back in these listing a realist with pics and tittle and tray them as new listings.
Hi Jeff - one of the main questions I want answered is why I get SHUTDOWN overnight for about 10 hours! I haven't had an overnight sale for 4 or 5 months now and I use to get them Every Frickin' night!!!
I know the feeling. I think I might have had a half a dozen overnight in the past 12 months. I used to get sales overnight all the all the time too.
you and me both would like to know. best case scerario is they are in the final states of completing server migration or upgrades and that will be over soon. there is no need to ever have consistent shutdowns. the internet is open 24 hours.

@@hayfro I hope so. I'm on Ebay Canada myself .. so it might be a bit different. I would rather see much better sales on Ebay and eventually be able to afford to sell online full time instead of working full time and not having the time to do everything i'd love to d with the business and burning myself out. It would be my dream come true if all of sudden things started to turn around for me and everyone else to like yourself.

Hi good video. Having issues adding UPC field in Australia. Not all listings require this number. I am currently unable to re-list 30 listings because of this issue. Very annoying.

Well just finished up another terrible week. What I dont understand is this now: Promoted listings been dropping every day. Down 56%, Down 68%, Down 60%, Down 51% and yesterday (Sunday) down 51%. Organic down 18%, 36%, 14% and down 1.7% (Sunday), but external has been up every day. I dont get it. Still promoting at 4.1 percent. No sales on Sunday, 1 sale Saturday, 6 sales Friday, 5 sales Thursday, and 6 sales Wednesday. I then every week get that be a top rated plus seller and see their recommendations and then it just totally dies. So I expect to be in this death pattern until around midweek then slowly pick up again until I get the message again at the end of next week sometime.

Have you ever experienced a total drop off in impressions? Since March 29 the impressions for my store have dropped over 50 percent each day and that is with them being promoted at minimum of 4 percent. Its just like the store was shut off. Only had one sale on 29th, 30th and 31. Nothing. Just seeing if you ever experienced a total shut off like that. I even did the old end sell similar and nothing.
i have not. I have been seeing a big increase in my impressions as I've gotten quite aggressive with my ess lately.

My three best individual months of 2023 (Feb, Mar, Jan) all happened to be the months of Q1. Then from April to December, I couldn't match even my worst Q1 month (Jan). However, since hitting a low point in September, every month has been better than the last, six months in a row now. Sales in the last three months have all reached the goals that I missed for each of the last nine months of 2023. Nonetheless, I'm scared of April because of last April.
Looking at a graph, I wouldn't characterize sales in 2023 as "falling of a cliff" -- they dipped about 25%, but the issue lasted nine months, which was the real problem.
Biff, your story might be important to the journalist- maybe Jeff can hook you up?

Please mention approximately how long you held onto each object before you sold it. That piece of info is very instructive because just about anything can sell if you hold onto it long enough or sell it cheaply enough.
i try to mention it if it sells unusually fast. otherwise most of my stuff is long tail items.
You should contact Motorcycle dork, he lost 3/4 of his business, had the reports showing. He lost so much he had to start up a new side line company for him & his wife to survive.
The missing sku situation has happened to me multiple times. Buyers have purchased items and I will have to look through hundreds of items to try to find the item they purchased. I refuse to mark out of stock, get a ding on my account, and miss a sale/money. Imagine people with thousands of items… they can’t look through that many to find one item. I have made it a habit to constantly make sure sku numbers are always there. Bummer.

36:55 up till this Month March 2024 i was on a role and only had 2 0 days on eBay since December 2023 now in march i have had 3 0 days including yesterday thank god i sell on 10 other platforms and my own website as well as locally
The listing page resets in the middle of working on it. It is because eBay is slow now that they are cheaping out on cloud infrastructure and they are changing the page while you are working, but too slowly. I lose my description sometimes too. Might depend on the order you fill fields or other factors which fields are affected.
you would think given how important the information is we are entering it would do a better job at saving it.

I found from March on my sales dropped in half or less and there's been endless problems with the site ever sense. ... on top of that Ebay removed the ability for me to contact them at all and never returned that. So if I had a problem I couldn't report any of the problems. That never came back,

i never realized it until last year when I realized I couldn't picture my dog who passed away. like I know what he looks like but I can't create an image in my mind. explain why poetry is very hard for me to understand and when reading I have to reread a lot of stuff in the beginning to get a firm grasp on characters and plot.

eMafia has been stairstepping great sellers incrementally down & down & down into mediocre sellers through the algorithmic placement.
It’s the woke bullshit you know they want everybody to be equal - I’m reminded of that old Canadian-Band Rush song: “TREES”.
