Not even remotely true, I’ve purchased some instructions riddled with errors or combine too many steps into one. Their statement is a fair one to make, the only thing potentially misleading is the price since it will vary wildly.
Nice build. Love the shingles on the neck. I don't play horizon but I'll pitch you my Lego suggestions anyway: Midi Maul's scimitar Midi slave 1 Midi naboo royal starship from episode 1
$215-255 is neither an affordable nor superior alternative to the official Tallneck. The official one is basically a statue, sure, but for $60-$80, a nice stand, and a minifigure of Aloy, that's enough. I'd think you'd know that too, since you tried to sell that downscaled Ornithopter as a better alternative as well.
Like I said in the video it‘s obviously more expensive but if you’re a fan of the Tallneck then you get a better deal in terms of price per part and quality for money with our model. Also, I think it‘s pretty obvious that the midi Ornithopter does not compare to that huge LEGO set but if you’re a little tight budgeted and still like the features of the set, then our model is a viable alternative.
@@BrickVaultPrice per part doesn't mean much when you're talking about a price difference of $150 or so. Furthermore, figuring in the cost for instructions and shipping, the actual value of the MOC is raised quite a bit, and is ultimately a bit worse than the official set. It's a beautiful MOC, but it's not any sort of reasonable alternative with that kind of price tag. and I bring up the Ornithopter because you were selling that one under the same guise of value as well. Sure, that one is a full $90 cheaper, but for the price and size, it's got some of the worst value i've ever seen. That's my thing I guess, whether it's smaller or larger, it's not really an approachable alternative to the official set. The official Tallneck is pricy, for sure, but it's a modest model with a nice display base (certainly better than a slab of black), and a nice figure, which would fit nicely on a desk or shelf. The MOC is ironically inaccessible in that sense. The official Ornithopter is also inaccessible to many, sure.. but the MOC Ornithopter is the size of a smaller Speed Champions set. At that point, one would be better off actually buying a Speed Champions set and rebuilding it into their own Ornithopter.
I don't think this is intended for people who just like the Tall Neck. It's for people who love it. For those who want the best version in Lego they can get. People seem to forget that not every model is necessarily meant to be the most price conservative. If you'd rather have the cheaper one, then this was never meant for you in the first place.
Yep, this cost me around ~$180 USD to build. Insane, isn’t it?!
Thank you for revealing piece prices in videos again. That matters a lot.
Such a beautiful set. Easily beats out legos solid build.
Def gonna get both of these!
Beautiful big beasty. 🤠
Can’t believe this is real, it is sick of it.
Beautiful custom build 👌
That custom minifig head is so cursed xD
Insane!
What are those toe pieces? First time I'm seeing them

@@thelastbrickbender2139 thanks! They look really handy for certain use cases
Nice !
the leg ratio to body makes me 😢
cool
2:53 That's a bit disingenuous, you're basically saying no other moc maker tests their instructions.

Less than £180?!!!
It's quite a bit more once you figure in the instructions and shipping
Shipping is generally the biggest cost though, or if not the biggest, still pretty sizeable.
I bought an off brand Lego set of this that was 7200 pieces and 3’ tall. Worth every buck
I saw it..thanks for confirming it's a good deal, I plan on getting
You know it's a stolen SerialBuilder's design, right?
