Hey! If you wanna get rid of the MAF sensor to clean up the engine bay just get a stand-alone ECU which you basically need anyway to run a turbo anyway. With the standalone the AFR is fixed and the MAF doesn’t need to be there. Hope this helps.
Ok this might be a stupid question but I haven’t worked much on engines yet. If you had it out wouldn’t it have been an option to remove the oil pan and drill the hole then to be 100% sure there’s absolutely no shavings in there?
You can yes it would be the smart way to do it! But actually on this car the drill into the oil pan is very accessible from under the car with the engine back in. So we resolved the gaskets we needed while the engine is out but put it back in and actually yesterday we drilled the whole. So that’ll be up in the next video!
