ahhh there's the problem though...my images won't drag and drop on to the timeline. before I would create a compound clip in the import viewer, then Fast setting to 40,000% but now that doesn't even work with the updated version. so now I can't make Timelapse's at all. so annoying why simple things won't work.

there is Timelapse in S&Q mode? I saw videos they do time lapse on s&q I don't know what is the difference

Timelapse in S&Q mode is way easier, you are basically making it much harder this way.
