I got my SP1 on GB a few years back - in near mint condition. It came with target sights, plus the original ones that have seen better days.

I really enjoyed your guns and the information given on each one . I'm in California so adding one to my collection is probably a no go. Thanks again for sharing. Pete

the SP1 sport has a single action only hammer, i swapped it out with a standard hammer to make it double action. i changed the hammer back to single action again. mine works very well (since 1997).

    I'd love to get a SP1 Target along with a CP1.

Great comparison video, thank you. I own an SP1. Do you know any level2/3 retention holsters that are made for it? Do any of the Safariland Beretta (92) holsters fit the Sp1? With Surefire X300?

Could I ask how you came about these pistols? Did you have them exported/imported?

I tried to convert my SP1 Sport (but the later model with the straight trigger) to double action, but it wouldn't work, because the trigger bar seems to be blocked by the safety (physically at the end). Have you ever successfully converted your SP1 Sport into double action, or was that a theoretical point?

Hmmm. So as far as I know Vektor manufactured the SP1 Sport which had a three port compensator. The SP1 Sports I have seen have the removeable frame screw which allows the trigger to go into the SA/DA or SA only mode. The SP1 Target (the one with the straight trigger and a barrel weight instead of a 3 port compensator) is set up for SA only. You are correct, the trigger bar is blocked by the safety. It might be possible to get a regular trigger bar from a Vektor and install it in your pistol along with a curved trigger to obtain the DA/SA modes. Thanks for watching.

@@sxs2950 Thanks for the quick and thorough response. I've been fiddling with my SP1 Sport today. It looks exactly like this one: www.dorotheum.com/en/l/2671654/
Would have been great, if it would have been that easy to convert it into SA/DA. I also have a spare curved Z88 Trigger, that fitted perfectly. I don't have any other SP1s but I might try the trigger bar of my Z88 and see if that trigger bar makes DA possible. My guess though is, that the problem is the safety...

@@HelgeKlemm Yes you are correct, you have a Sport with a straight trigger. I have not see your variation before, it is sort of a hybrid between the target (straight trigger) and the sport (3 port comp). Try swapping the trigger bar, that might do the trick. If that doesn't work I would say it is not possible, it seems Vektor changed the design a bit. Let me know what happens.

@@sxs2950 Hi again, ok after comparing the trigger mechanisms of my double action Z88 and my single action SP1 Sport, I can definitely say, that my (later) version of the SP1 Sport can not be converted to DA, by loosening the screws. The trigger bar and the hammer are missing the necessary hooks and notches to transport the hammer backwards.
But I also found an old german manual for an (early) SP1 Sport, which clearly states, that unscrewing the two screws converts it to DA. So they must have made some design changes in between V1 (with curved trigger) and V2 (with straight trigger).
Still, I like my Vektors and have not yet been disappointed (though I really would have loved to turm my SP1 into DA. ;-)).
Cheers and keep up the good work on your channel!

@@HelgeKlemm Thanks for the update. Sorry you can't get it to do DA/SA. I think your pistols is the first one that I have seen that has this particular setup (3 port comp & straight trigger SA). They are great pistols and I still prefer them to the Beretta's, even the 92X Performance.
