First, It was mj vs magic. Then mj vs Kobe. Then mj vs lebron. There will be more comparisons. Mj is the gold standard for greatness in sports. It’s just how it is.
Updated!!! GOAT debate should be between MJ/Kobe & Kareem or Bill unfortunately for Kobe he is the MJ of 2000s but he is def the 2nd GOAT behind MJ followed by Kareem/Bill/Wilt. The social media of 2010s and the present help LeFlop existences like his superstars teammates and superteams. But, LeBron shouldn't even in the debate, the last 5 years, he was just chasing stats with his super teams. He has to join 3 different teams to win, in every 1st year of his new team he got beat up badly or missed the playoffs that in the 2nd year of his every teams, he has to trade most of if not eveyrone for new superstars ans veteran allstars of his sights like. His Lakers tenure isn't something to convince for GOAT debate, 1st y3ar missed playoffs, 2nd year hebhas to trad eevryone to get AD and guys he wants, AD won them that championship while Lebron cherry picking stats, 3rd got beat up and blamed eveyrone and this year, he supposed to be outbof the seaon as he suad he has injuries or whatever but when he sees Dlo/AD/Reavs and the co. winning games, Lebron suddebly hurried to comeback and healthy again to play, every wins he take all the credits for himself, every loses its AD/Dlo/Hams fault. 2013-14 he got beat uo badly by the Spurs but luckily for him, Allen saves them from gettunf beat up but 2014, spurs destroyed themm 2015, with all those trades they got beat up hy young and inexperienced warriors. 2016, he has to tradeagain including his coach and saved again by another teammates (oh his blocks) lebron is good for 2nd or 3rd help defende which include that blocks, hebia no good perimeter or 1 on1 defender, hebis good for 2nd or 3rd help defense. Anyway, that 2016 was a disaster for warriors but why the Lebronsexual fans goat has to be down 3-1???? Kyrie has to be the Batman while Lebron picking stats until Cavs cameback and Kyrie hit that game winning shots. 2018 cavs? That cavs was still stacked and better that the younger teams in East. 2019? Lebron was cherry picking and injured when Lakers wasn't making the playoffs. Jesus, Lebronsexual fans will say, hebis goat cause he won 3 rings for 3 teams? What a stupid narrative, he won 3 rings from 3 different teams because he cant win a championship with 1 team in his 1st year and has to trade every assets they have to get superstas and to have superteam to win a ring. While MJ Kobe stayed onlynfor 1 team and win morenring with less years than Lebron. Lebron has to stat pad more for GOAT conversion. He messed up the Lakers offense in this years playoffs. Dlo/Shroeder/Beasley/Vanderbilt and AD became barely scored and has to lower theirbgames for Lebrons sake and to be able for Lebron to be rellevant in Lakers offense. Cause if you take out the ball from Lebrons hand, he is irrelevant. AD can score/Reaves and Dlo was doing good when Lebron was about to expire. Jesus, we should do the debate between, MJ, Kobe, Kareem, Magic, Bird. Lebron fpr aure is a top 10 due to his stats and 20 years of playing, but GOAT? He isn't even in top 5 debate. LeFlop Lakers Tenure. 2019 Missed Playoffs 2020 Bubble ring (AD to the rescue). 2021 1st round exit. 2022 Missed playoffs 2023 WCF swept 2024 Swept in 1st round exit. 2025 Missed Playoffs, Blamed his 7th coaches and traded 5 players.
@@NarutoUzumaki-og1ge Ohhh, that's alright Lebronsexual fans are mostly uneducated Imbeciles and they need to be enlighten. They seems getting worst everytime Lebron loses badly. They find and make excuses for LeSwept sake.

MJ was arguably the most famous person alive. lots of non-americans, mostly europeans because they think they're special, try to downplay that fact. say this soccer guy or that soccer guy. but no. sports, politics, acting, singing, doesn't matter. MJ was probably the most famous person on the planet for quite a while.
MJ is the measure by which all others are compared, he is the Platinum standard because during the height of his prime, MJ had no rivals since the world understood he was #1, and the separation between #1 and #2 was a large chasm.
The only reason why you keep hearing the conversation, is not because you are close to MJ. It’s because MJ sellsssssssssssssssssss. MJ is the reason media have success in their shows. When you retire, people will move on just like they do with baseball, hockie, football etc. MJ will be heard for ever. He is GOAT
That’s a lie bro.. there was no goat discussion with no damn Kobe Duncan or magic or Kareem. Tbh i don’t remember players careers getting judge so matter of factly while they were still playing before social media took over. Jordan had the benefit to retire unchallenged as the best cuz ppl remember 6 for 6 in the championship but he played 15 seasons lol at the end ppl are only looking at the totals but these players get judged on their career from a game to game perspective. Lebron is the only who has lived tried n failed n come out clean on the other end as the solo guy. For all his “Allstar” teammates n team jumping 4 for 4 finals mvps n never was in question for losing one to a team mate so he didn’t get carried when he did win n didn’t beat any fluke teams to win.

So, two guys under 30 years old who were top-3 in their position. Plus a 30 year old NBA All-Star in Isiah Thomas.
It depends how you look at it now. I think LeBron had a better NBA career than Jordan (better longevity/sustained eliteness, just as popular, more salary earned, better all around stats) but what Jordan accomplished in 13 seasons and being near perfect in that span with very minimal Ls and setbacks makes him the greater player. It’s similar to how LeBron is a greater Laker than Fisher by accomplishing more within less time
@@BRBallin1 longevity is the only thing this due has on Jordan. Are you aware that Jordan made the NBA popular? Are you aware that the reason players get better salaries is because of jordan? The whole era thing is why LeBron will never get looked at as better than MJ. 80s and 90s basketball was GRITTY, PHYSICAL, AND AGGRESSIVE! The NBA of today is like FOULS GALORE... over everything
💯 Today era is weak overall, In the 80/90 they wouldn’t call for 90% of the fouls nowdays. It’s disgusting how weak this sport becomes… Actually it’s so soft that we can see players actually not playing really defence and “trying” because they know the consequences… which all the better 3p shooters taking advantage nowdays. I really can see this game in the next decade going to the only 3p route with how weak it’s becoming.
@@callmeshen9754I advise you to rewatch some 90s games and take off your nostalgia glasses. Illegal defense rules made it near impossible to double team non driving players and nearly every shot 10ft+ out went uncontested.
Jordan spent his time on defense. He was a god because he showed great offensive power in that era. In modern times, there is no hand check, making it easy to attack. You can't compare based on stats alone. If he existed in his prime under modern rules, he would be able to score incredible points. And he'll probably beat up LeBron or whatever.
The media did a hell of a job "selling" the narrative that Lebron is part of a conversation he has no business being in, and comparing him to MJ is absolutely laughable. I still don’t understand how they’ve managed to trick so many people.
Its the power of Klutch sports network doing all this propaganda. They even offered money to a coach for MVP vote for Lebron. The masses that dont know just eats up what theyre told.
You all are brain washed. Not everyone wakes up puts on their MJ boxers before they leave out the house. It’s subjective, MJ will never be the unanimous GOAT. No one can be
The greatest QB discussion was a debate regularly had among sports fans. Montana was considered the best until Brady went way past him. And now the media has throw Mahomes into that convo which I find silly. Montana won 4 super bowls and Brady won 7. Mahomes is still obviously playing but he's only won 2. He has not surpassed Montana yet.
Michael Jordan PREVENTED several HALL OF FAME players from Winning a Championship During his Career. Lebron James has in fact allowed several Hall of fame players to not only win championships but also win a championship more than once in his Career 😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
MJ is the GOAT, but that argument doesn't have a lot of weight towards proving it. It's a small small part of it maybe. Basketball is a team game above all else.
The fact there is a debate about MJ and LeBron is a testament to LeBron. I look at all the intangibles before I look at there stats. Yes Jordan has all these different accolades...but so does LeBron...so my intangibles start with LeBron didn't have his dad or brother to push him...he never played for a college hall of fame coach ...and third most important to me...he has had to deal with a loud mouth African American journalist who has criticized his eveery game since he came into the league. MJ never had to deal with social media...ever...now someone tell me MJ career would have been the same if social media was going on in the '90s...💯

I didn’t hear him admit it. All I heard was him thinking there’s still an actual comparison and he’s not saying anything to stop it or downplay it. He put it in motion and he’s thrilled his fanboys have taken up the false narrative. Sad.
Lebron always got Tom Brady name in his mouth. Tom Brady is 7-3. Lebron is 4 and 10 in the finals. TB ain't pick his teammates like Lebron do. MJ playing less years had a waay better career than lebron by far.
Jordan is the GOAT, but I think Lebron is number 2. I think he could potentially catch MJ if he did some very amazing things his last years, but it would be almost impossible at his age. What do you mean by he realized that? Did you listen to this? He never agreed that MJ was the GOAT. He didn't say he was the GOAT either. He just didn't speak on it.
I don't know much about Mj when he played on the Wizards team. What were his stats during that season? And what are the stats of Lbj in his Lakers season? Does Mj dominate Lebron in every aspect?

Cuz MJ is the GOAT and all the media knows it that why good or bad about MJ news. People click just to read about it!!! Thats why hes the GOAT!! Retired and people still need to put his name on there show to make people watch!!! Smh
That certainly sounds more reasonable than him proclaiming himself as the GOAT when his Cleveland team got lucky that Draymond Green was suspended which allowed them to beat the Warriors. He's right though in that he at least has put himself into a conversation (I wouldn't really call it a debate because Jordan is unquestionably the best basketball player to ever live) so that's an honor in itself.
Y’all bring all that up but if Lebron wasn’t on the team kyrie and the Cavs don’t win the chip, simple, kyrie wasn’t even making the playoffs before Bron came back, they needed him more than he needed them because Bron could have went anywhere else and won‼️💯🤷🏿♂️🤷🏿♂️
@@kannondeblasio718 I bring it up because LeBron said "that one right there made me the greatest player of all time". As if beating the dubs in 2016 was done on his own (Of course LeBron was the best player on the team) But the fact that he beat them once out of four tries in a row?? 2015, 2017 and 2018 you get your ass handed to you, but cuz you squeezed by them once in 2016 after Draymond n Curry missed serious game time, Not to mention Kyrie averaged almost 28 PPG for the series, all of a sudden that makes you the GOAT? It's not like he won 3 In a row, retired for 2 years, then came back and won another 3 in a row. After accomplishing something like that, anyone could say they're the greatest of all time And it wouldn't be such an egregious statement. You guys like to use all these numbers like how he is the most total points, most total assists, and has all these longevity records... But he also has the most turnovers, the most playoff missed field goals, most finals losses in NBA history with 33, The most playoff losses with 100. The 3rd most finals series defeats of all time with 6. Worst collapse by a franchise player in a finals series-LeBron James 2011 NBA finals. Especially when considering how heavily favored the Heat were. Worst meltdown in the last 60 seconds of a win or go home NBA finals game (game 6 of 2013 NBA finals vs Spurs) 5 possessions in the final minute. -First possession turnover -Second possession turnover -Third possession air ball 3 -4th possession rebound came back to him and sunk second 3 attempt -5th possession with the game clock off, down by 3, bricks the tie or go home final shot attempt. (And then Bosch reach back for the board kicked it out to Allen and made the greatest shot in finals history) So to sum it up, down only 1pt to San Antonio with 1 minute left LeBron had B2B turnovers, followed by an air ball triple attempt! Forget the missing the final shot, those three plays alone land him in that spot for worst meltdown in the final minute of a elimination finals game by a franchise player. I'm not even going to mention game one of the 2008 ECF game 1 vs Boston where he went 2-18FG with 10 turnovers. Nothing like that EVER happened to MJ in a finals series, and MJ never had one bad series in his 37 playoff series appearances. In fact he's 30-7 in the playoffs. Jordan's worst playoff game was in the 89 ECSF GM2 vs the Knicks where he only put up 15 pts. However for the series, he averaged 36.5/8.5/9.5 with 2.5 SPG. Scoring 40 PTS in 4 of the 6 games and taking out New York in 6. So when the lights shined the brightest, no matter how great or terrible his teammates played, Jordan ALWAYS showed up, and never ever choked! That's why LeBron can never be compared to 6 rings/6 finals MVPs, 10 scoring titles, 5 MVPs, 3 steals titles, 9 all NBA defensive first team honors, 11x leading the league in total points, all time regular season PPG leader and playoff PPG leader. Oh yeah and defensive player of the year. LeBron's missing a bunch of those.

Lebron literally lost 60% of the Finals he played in. Nothing about a 60% losing percentage says 🐐 Name another 🐐 in any sport who has lost more rings than he has won. You can’t and there’s a reason for that. He’s not the 🐐 never has been and never will be. A parachute that only opens up 40% of the time is a shitty parachute. The same can be said for a basketball player who only wins 40% of his championships that he’s played in. A boxer with a 4-6 record in title fights would get laughed at trying to claim best boxer in the world 😂😂
Scottie Pippen is 6-0 as well, is he as good as Michael or better than LeBron? Bill Russell has more rings than anyone does that make him the GOAT? Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is the most decorated basketball player of all time, is he the GOAT? Wilt Chamberlain holds more records than any other player in NBA history, does that make him the GOAT? The ring conversation is quite stupid because many of the top 75 greatest NBA players of all time haven't won a ring such as Charles Barkley, John Stockton, Karl Malone, and Patrick Ewing who all competed against the Bulls and came up short, but are considered all-time greats.

@@MilesIzHigh5280 Your statement is stupid because you were using a boxing record of 4-6 to LeBron's 4-6 finals record. Basketball is more than rings to define someone's greatness. LeBron has surpassed Michael in many ways other than rings. In boxing, you can have an undefeated record of 6-0 beating bums or a record of 4-6 fighting decent boxers. In the NBA, you must compete against the best teams in the finals.

Jordan didnt face a super team
Jordan brings the "I" in we WIN in TEAM not only in basketball outside of basketball, baseball, student, master, father, son, good person. Lebron is obviously the superior player. He can do everything Jordan can and more. Name the Steph Curry that MJ has to play against. Not meant to be answered btw. A shooter like Curry didn’t exist back then. The rules of basketball may have changed but the players today are faster and stronger than back in the day. The 3rd most finals series defeats of all time with 6.
Worst collapse by a franchise player in a finals series-LeBron James 2011 NBA finals. Especially when considering how heavily favored the Heat were.
Worst meltdown in the last 60 seconds of a win or go home NBA finals game (game 6 of 2013 NBA finals vs Spurs)
5 possessions in the final minute. -First possession turnover
-Second possession turnover
-Third possession air ball 3
-4th possession rebound came back to him and sunk second 3 attempt
-5th possession with the game clock off, down by 3, bricks the tie or go home final shot attempt. (And then Bosch reach back for the board kicked it out to Allen and made the greatest shot in finals history)
So to sum it up, down only 1pt to San Antonio with 1 minute left LeBron had B2B turnovers, followed by an air ball triple attempt!
