- Today we take the batteries out of a permobil C 300 electric wheelchair! its a fairly straightforward process.. but may require some help depending on the configuration of your chair.

Thanks man I plan on making a video on replacing the battery on my sisters corpus 300 m3 Tried calling several companies an all seem to be little to no help I’m paying out of pocket not insurance and they still giving me the run around smh thanks to you I feel more confident on doing it my self save me the money and hassle and get my sis chair back running properly

If you put in the optional larger battery size of group size 24, instead of the 34, then you'd have those battery compartments more filled and longer range and probably better battery life.
I want to try group 24 marine batteries from Walmart for less than $100 each instead of the pricey AGM batteries.

yes! group 24 flat tops will fit.. but i only know for sure that the MK power ones will actually slide in there.. other brands / types or NON-flat top ones may not work. my experience with cheap batteries: they dont last very long! ive had an amazon set of grp 24's crap out within 3 months :^/
ALSO ya dont want to run flooded cell batteries in a wheelchair - they need to be sealed AGM batteries
Great video... I'm having to get new batteries (getting it converted to an ATV type chair) so this was actually the only way to see what the batteries visually looked like (terminal type/location).
Do they have mobility chair mechanics? My chair was like $36k retail (or like $9k if bought instead of insurance, I assume lol), so I'd assume mechanics do exist.
I'm so happy to be able to take my chair onto surfaces that arent flat and paved. Lol.

I went down my braun ramp & my wc wouldn’t go straight . It jerks then goes in a circle . The Wc has been discontinued I believe . Unfortunately my sales rep assembled it wrong as well. The actuator has always had a catch effect & will not work as it should. The seat base he also installed it wrong . My cushion will not sit flat .. the sides are higher vs the middle plate (base) . I unfortunately was taken for a few repairs before a Permobil rep introduced herself at a store & she confirmed all my rep did not do right.
I am a c4 quad so I am in a bind. Learning that a replacement chair is hard to find . One biz after another has shared why they stopped selling new power wheelchairs paid by medicrap.

hmm if one of the drive wheels stopped turning thats no good! if the brake lever is pulled, will that wheel turn at all? also any errors on the screen when it happened?
where you use glue gun I use acrylic latex sealant works just as well peels off great for everything that needs gluing or fastening also great for sound vibrates

Hello, I just started watching your videos. Nice Job and very informative. We have a M300 that will no longer charge. It sat in storage for 6+ months and has went completely dead. In the video you mentioned using a jump box to trick the bat. charger to start charging. Do you have a video with more info for doing this? I'd like to try this first before buying batteries.
hmmmm cant think of which video that would have been in.. BUT essentially you just take the covers off, and connect a jump box to ONE of the 12 volt batteries in there.. and depending on things it may get charger to see something connected.. BUT my advice is - since you probably gotta replace them anyways.. take them out, and try charging them up individually with an automotive battery charger one at a time :^)
Total Normal, thank you for your reply. you mentioned it just as a side note in the C300 battery replacement video, maybe the last 30 seconds. Thanks to that video I have the seat raised to the full up position and have access to the batteries. I'll remove them and charge them individually. Thanks again!!!
great video, I have a question.. what if your batteries are totally dead, how do you raise the seat to get to the batteries?

Took my wheelchair to Germany, left it in my second home apartment. Got stranded back in America ( 10.2019) because of Covid. Since it is not moved and only stands, but my sister sometimes charges it.
Should we keep the charger in it or take it off.

Great video.. I am having a "PM Low Battery" error and it shuts off everytime I try to move it also it won't hold any charge. It is also currently in our modified vehicle. Is there a way to tell which battery is bad? I wasn't aware it needed two and only ordered one. Does one work for the wheels and the other work for the up down fucntions?
both batteries need to be replaced as a set.. the chair operates on 24 volts, and both batteries are in series to accomplish that voltage

Replaced the batteries in my father's chair. Turned it on. It suddenly started to raise and pull the leg-rests in. Does this model do a re-set? The chair was in a raised position so I could get the batteries in. It will not respond to joystick or pressing "mode" button control. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks in advance!!
what color are the seating buttons? or are they flashing?
hey bud, have you try 12V LED light strips when you change the batteries? I was thinking about adding 12V LED light strips to my chair.....
ive got RBG led's on my daily use chair :^) but ya wanna run a power converter.. connecting things to one of the batteries will effect charging and their overall lifespan quite a bit
Hello Dan oh, my name is less my batteries are Stone dead in my m300 so I don't have anyway are you have not shown any weight in order to raise the seat what do I do it has electric seat lift but no juice in the batteries

Dan thanks for the tip or the video I should say on raising the seat on and 300 with the big Allen screw. I've got a question is there anyway that I can charge the batteries without individually disconnecting them.? I have an Old Fashioned non-automatic battery charger one that charges all the time it doesn't require any juice in the battery Saturday either 2 amps or 10 amps or start. I know that I can pull the batteries out individually charge them I was wondering if I could put the positive cable on the positive and the negative on the negative on the chair and just let it charge through the wires it's connecting the two batteries without any damage to the chair or the batteries? Number two or three whichever number I've lost track does the circuit breaker on the back is it a rocker switch that goes up on the right or up on the left or is it a sliding switch this is concerning again the circuit breaker I want to turn it off or make sure that it is on, the decal is gone thanks so much ldr
you can technically charge them while still wired up in the chair but ONLY ONE AT A TIME!! - however i wouldn't use a manual battery charger - the wheelchair batteries need specific charging voltage curves to prevent damage and pressure buildup.. if you have an automatic battery charger with an AGM setting itll work fine.. just connect it according to the battery's + and -. but id recommend removing them from the chair (safest way to charge batteries) - since there's a big metal frame, and its easy to short everything out. also wheelchairs are TOTALLY isolated. ya NEVER wanna connect ANYTHING to the wheelchair chassis. that WILL let the the magic smoke out!
Any suggestions on how to replace batteries if they are totally dead and the seat is unable rise. We are having a hard time accessing as well as removing the whole panel due to the seat being in the way. Is there any way to manually crank or lift the seat? Any suggestions would be so appreciated. BTW Love your videos!
yo! yes! that super long allen wrench in the back of the seat back is used for manually raising the seat without power.. i think i did that in one video.. lemme try and find it. ill post the link

i generally replace mine every year if it's covered, and doesnt cost too much just as a precaution.. when the batteries start to fail, they tend to drop off pretty quickly over a few days, or weeks. if they're more than 2 years old, I'd personally get them replaced :^)
Question where would be the best place to sell a m300 wheelchair.
would this be the same for a P3 model ? trying to help a friend.. and he is 50 miles away .. id like to buy the correct batteries and then travel to his location and replace batteries for him.... just not sure what type of connection the batteries in the P3 model have.. TIA

question i have a set of ramps i got off fingerhut they are pose to be able to hold a car but i tried to load my chair in back of aztek and the ramps are to steap all my drive tires do is spin any suggestions on ramps that will let my chair go up into the back of it
how long are the ramps you got? i use a set of 10 foot tri-fold ramps when i have to get into places.. BUT they're only good for 2 or 3 steps.. you need a LONG ramp to get very high off the ground!

but you can see its still VERY steep for trying to get into a vehicle.. wouldn't recommend that at all..
