      I don't understand why people care about seeing Ghost so much. Who cares? The writing sucks big time and all people want the producers to focus on instead is showing a glimpse of a dog.

      Arya's sneak was foreshadowed when she sneaked up on Jon in the Godswood at their reunion. "How did you sneak up on me?" Some inside info there, or a hidden talent.

    They have two dragons, an assassin who can transform into other people and a warg that can also see the past, the future, and possibly even alter it and you're telling me it's going to take 3 episodes to go against Cersei? And you damn right people are going to die in that war. People who survived an army of zombies including a zombie giant and a zombie dragon. Shit makes no sense.

    • @ssa6227
      @ssa6227 5 лет назад +2

      U r right. This was suppose to be epic battle and Cerci battle to me is small one. So if they show people who fought epic battle and survive only to struggle against Cerci would suck.

  • @gardengirlnc
    @gardengirlnc 5 лет назад +4

    I have such mixed feelings about this episode. Yes, it was an epic battle. Yes the CGI was amazing. Yes, I was worried everyone would die. The fear and visuals were great. However, it fell so short and was so unsatisfying in other areas. D&D spent seven years building up the Knight King and White Walkers and this is all we are getting about their back story? They have built up the Jon verses the Knight king for that long too, and then they throw Arya at him in the last moment? Seriously? What a cop out. We are not going to find out why Melissandre went to Volantis or what happened while she was there? We got so much foreshadowing in the books and show about The Crypts of Winterfell and all we got was some zombies? Really? What happened to the The Horn of Winter? Or Joramon? Or Dragonbinder? All Bran did was sit there and warg some crows? Wow, just wow. That was so underwhelming.

    For all those people who were dissapointed by Jon not fighting the NK, how exactly do you think that would happen? The two of them sword fighting and the army of the dead standing around cheering for their king? There was no chance that would ever happen. The NK would always protect himself by sending his hordes againt anyone who openly challenged him, just like it happened in the episode. Arya sneaking up on him was the best thing that could happen. She was the prince(ss) that was promised. Jon was longer a prince, he was a king. However, Jon was brought back to life and he still has a purpose to serve, albeit a different one from what he had in mind. In a sense he also fooled himself, just like Stanis had.

    Satisfying deaths to characters who have reached the ends of their arcs. Except for maybe Beric Dondarrion. Without Thoros (and now Mel), he was the only person possibly capable of bringing someone back from the dead. So now, if Jon or Dany dies...that's it! :O

    There is still something that doesn't convince me about the Night King. He is an intelligent being, capable of planning war strategies, of taunting his enemies, he even had personality flaws such as being "overconfident"... This is a character that deserves something more than "he wants to erase all humaaaaaanz!!!111!!". I hope we will get some deeper insight on the Night King's mind, wishes and motivations later in the series. Anyway, great episode overall, I'm satisfied.

      I would like to know what Bran was doing when he warged. Ok we saw some crows fly but was that it? I thought they would show him battling the Night King in his mind maybe weaken his powers or doing something epic or finding more about the motives by going back in time or anything. I just wanted to see more like you said from the night kind but also from Bran and between Bran and the Night King via time travel like before.

    All im gone say is the same thing I've been saying. Jon Snow could have died last night. I actually would have preferred he did. I love Arya and her killing the Night King would have been fine had Jon even had a chance to fight him. Even if jon was defeated and she swoops in last minute. But what we got was a bunch of build up for years just for Jon to literally do nothing. I went from being afraid Jon would die to wishing he had. Would've made for a better story.

    Fantastic episode. They redeemed themselves for last season screwup. All characters were vulnerable and Arya instead of Danny or John killing NK was masterstroke. Her training, blade given by John or Aggon should I say.
    Should have lost a few more characters but I guess they needed them for finale.
    Dorthraki charge, wall , dragon fight all done in the best possible way. Also Winterfell inside scenes gave horror movie feel.
    So entertaining, worth the wait for so may seasons. Though its true NK death should have been more epic and I thought Bran will kill him. He just sat their doing nothing.

      Night King was created almost 3000+ years before Targaryens (or Valyrians for that matter) even existed. He can ride a dragon because of his magic which comes from the Children of the Forest. He is essentially a super warg like Bran, except more powerful with the ability of controlling the dead instead of the living.

    First sign of Night King being OP was resurrecting the dragon. Second was dragon fire being totaly harmless to him. Initially I assumd the White walkers and dragons to be polar opposites regarding the powers that they embody, that is them being vunerable but not transmutable into each other. Guess not.
    And yeah, Night king died too soon. Ragnarök cancelled. Too bad.

    I have a hunch that the night king is a Targaryen! Think about it, only they can ride a dragon....which he is doing....and just like when Daenerys didn’t get burned by the fire....the night king was unaffected you the fire....therefore, that only leaves the simple fact that he is Targaryen!!!

    I’m not taking Arya for AA/TPWWP. But Melisandre’s entire aim and focus all along has been helping to save mankind, so she naturally had to be there for the Great War. She was my MVP and favorite element of the episode. Which I’m wishing was ep 4 or 5 instead of 3. But once Mel has finally fulfilled her long, long life’s purpose, she was able to pass into her beloved lord’s embrace...😭😭😭
    And yeah, I found it too quick and “easy.” 😑😖😣😫😩 Too many kills and “awesome you go girl” moments for Arya, too, much as I have always adored and identified with her...

    I think the moments between Sansa and Tyrion were interesting; if there was anyone other than Jaime to interfere with Tyrion's apparent devotion to Daenerys then it'd be Sansa. She was his wife, I think he looks on her as family so his allegiance to Sansa would top any allegiance to Daenerys.
    I was NOT expecting that Arya moment, blew my socks off. Though I don't know if that's the last we'll see of the Night King storyline - what was Bran doing whilst he was waiting? Why did it look like he and the Night King were communicating? Maybe the NK was a Stark and he just wanted to come home?
    I'm a bit disappointed that the Stark dead didn't protect the people in the crypts, I think that would have lent something extra to the episode; it seems really stupid and such a bad oversight to have thought they'd be safe in the crypt.

    Im so on kennys side; it was an awesome episode, and I was prepared to loose half of the characters, which didnt happen. Seriusly, how the hell did Grey Worm and Sam survuve the battle? They had huge lovable-characters-armour :O Also how the hell are Gilly AND Varys still alive? You didnt talk about my favorite scenes tho; Dany saving Jon while burning him and the whights. (So John - the unburned ? ) And Sansa and Tyrion in the crypt (is Sansa playing Tyrion and plotting against Dany? I saw also in this ep. so much Cersei in her, and I loved it :D ) Btw. Varys was the most useless character in this episode. Whats his goal at this point anyway? Could he be plotting with Cersei? I also wanted to see Ghost in action, or a confirm, that he IS alive :o
