I’m not really interested in cruisers / bobbers but I’ve always thought that the Indian Scout was my favourite of this genre. Any manufacturer who makes radiators less intrusive also gets a big thumbs up 👍 from me 🇬🇧
The Scout lineup is just a fun platform to throw a leg over! Lots of options to configure if you want or don't want... IMC did a great job with this little monster lol.
I have the scout bobber sixty - my first bike in black smoke - it is a beast - 999 cc and low to the ground which helps with confidence for a new rider.
I did an Indian demo ride a few weeks ago where I rode the FTR Carbon and the Scouts (Super and 101). The Super Scout was my favorite, as the swept back handle bars and better seat are a must for me, and I was told it's more costly to try to do the handlebars on the 101 than to just go for the Bobber or Classic. The TFT on the Scout 101 I rode was easy to read and operate. It's well put together for what it is, but I'm a sucker for old school clocks, and all I really care about is cruise control. Sublime engine all around. I was on the fence as to if I was ready for my cruiser phase, and the Scout sealed it. I've ridden Harleys and Yamahas, but Indian has done something really special with their gateway drug, the Scout line.
As an Urban Cruiser, I think it’s a very desirable bike. Even more so that it is customisable. My changes are 1)sports seat;2)mid controls 3)higher and narrower bars like Harley’s chisel bars,so I can filter through traffic at the lights- legal in Australia 🇦🇺 at red lights at up to 25 kmh.
This is the only chopper/cruiser-style bike that I would actually buy, I love the Indian Scout Bobber design and the updates are quite nice :) Another great video ;)
I brought an Indian Scout Bobber this year, but I specifically got an unregistered 2023 model because I don't like the styling of the newer 2024 onwards models. I previously didn't think I'd get on with a cruiser type bike, my other bikes currently being sports and sports/naked, but I really love the Scout Bobber. The engine is superb, really smooth for a big v-twin, with loads of torque. It's comfortable and so much fun to ride, with enough performance to raise a big grin, and a totally different riding style to my other bikes, which is great 😁. IMO all the tech on the new models is totally unnecessary, and to some extent Indian has spoilt the overall aesthetics. However it is still a great bike, well made, superb quality, great fun, and I'd thoroughly recommend.
Nice range of Scouts, I had a 2019 Scout but feel they need to produce something different as we now have 3 Scout ranges and the Rouge. Polaris who manufacture Indian need to invest in the infrastructure of dealerships and service garages and they will not support independent's. One issue is more than likely the same as all manufactures and release them before they have sorted out all the bugs which really affects the brand with the lack of dealers or authorised garages. Currently ride a Roadmaster.
good idea to keep the dash options ;; no stupid tech please ;; i am a harley fan , - but i think they have made a good job of this ;; tidy rad , neater single pipe rather than that horrid mess they had before , they are listening ,,, but a i agree with you - that exhaust sounds like a honda cb500 with a cork in it ;;; also luv that colour ,, not dreary black ;
Those exposed coloured wires going into the switchgear in you video were a bit naff on such an expensive bike. I do love the scout, even though I'm happy with less power and just riding the torque curve.
I really don’t care for bobber styles bikes, no matter the brand. After all the bobber concept is what owners wanted to customize their ride. That silly front fender isn’t even worth putting on, just think of the engine and radiator cleaning time, you will get to spend as many hours cleaning as you will riding. I’m a former 2016 scout owner and loved the full flared fenders on both front and rear.
I'm sure to be in the minority but, I think the rear guard looks as though someone has taken to it with a hacksaw, and the front one provides no protection for the radiator.
I like these tbh and have never really been a fan of cruisers. Also went to MCL today and fist bumped somebody and said yh, motobob... it wasnt you! 😂🙃😜
Take into consideration that because is EURO 5+, it has 3 oxy sensors, and the catalyzer is not in the slip-ons any more. So, if you just change the slip-ons, the sound will stil be pretty much muffled and not bassy. Also, until the tune market will figure out the ECU encryption, and because of that EUR 5+, the torque is shit. The previous one was excellent, almost on par with the Chief on the torque feeling. The new model, no so much, even in the sport mode is still lame. Also they still have some "first edition quirks", but I guess they will be solved with recalls and software updates.
Everyone who mention the exhaust isn't loud; what do you expect with the new euro-norms that producers have to deal with? It's pretty likely that the standard exhausts aren't loud. Even the aftermarket systems are dealing with this issue...
Whilst having the choice of different tech specs sounds great, I wonder how that will work out in reality? Dealers gave to order these bikes months in advance, and are often told by the manufacturer or distributor what is available. I womder how long one would have to wait for a particular tech spec and whether mist will simply have ti have what's on the showroom floor or in shipping?
Unlike the BMW P12 and Guzzi V7, Indian realizes that the fuel gauge is a nice thing to have - even though the other two "imitate" this Indian - with style..... 🤔🤔
The TFT dash is awful, I rode my buddies chief that has it and you cannot read it going down the road too much information in such a little space. Especially if you wear glasses for distance.
I don’t understand why manufacturers wanna make cruisers sporty, they are cruisers why a high revving engine it’s a cruiser make it a low revving cruiser engine hell even the naked have low revving high torque engine now why put a high revving engine in a cruiser? It’s just stupid. This goes for Harley and Indian. This is one of the reasons why I ended up buying a Triumph.
I think the Sportster S looks better, has more performance, and a larger dealer network. You can also get the Sportster on a discount here in the US because they don’t really fly off the dealership floor. I’m in the market for a cruiser and I want to love Indian but I feel like the Sportster S is the better bike.
I’m not really interested in cruisers / bobbers but I’ve always thought that the Indian Scout was my favourite of this genre. Any manufacturer who makes radiators less intrusive also gets a big thumbs up 👍 from me 🇬🇧
I feel the same way. However having now got a hip problem, I may be forced to look at cruisers, but not Harleys.
Same😊

Make no mistake, this bike handles like a dream. Take it from me because own one, it is flickable.
The look of the engine and the routing of the exhausts, seems to me, to be better on the old model.
Yeah, it feels like they've generally gone for a bunch of cost savings... While still ending up with a higher RRP.
Thanks!
This is the only chopper/cruiser-style bike that I would actually buy, I love the Indian Scout Bobber design and the updates are quite nice :)
Another great video ;)
The motorcycle world is a far better place with bikes like this still in it
Agreed!
Love a basic cruiser with no electronics.
I might look into this when I start looking for a new bike in a few years
I was looking forward to this review from you, Thanks! Hope at some point you can do a comparison between this one and the new Scout Sixty Bobber.
Cool looking thing. Not sure about the feet forward set up 🤔
well it's classic setup cruiser setup
@@morbid1. I didn't say it wasn't.
I have one, it’s pretty comfy, mids would scrape so bad
I can’t do feet forward either , so bad
With an S&S slip on, your going to experience freedom like you never have! Rock on! Scout Bobber!

That was quick.

Always loved this bike but dont know the long term reliability?!
I’ve had one since 2021, no issues, 2500 miles
also, it’s made by Polaris who are known for their rugged reliability offroad
@@t.walker3101 tnx 👍
I prefer the tank and frame of the old one
Totally agree, the overall aesthetics and the previous engine is also better looking, which is why I brought a new but 2023 model this year.

The style and motor are good. Just need to swap out that exhaust
Previous gen does look better... but some key features available on this gen which i like.

Hey Bob - What bike would you choose if you could only have 1 bike to ride? Adventure, cruiser, touring or sport?
Can I get the base bike and just keyless ignition?
They need to do something more interesting with the exhaust. That giant thing has been an eyesore for years
I'm sure to be in the minority but, I think the rear guard looks as though someone has taken to it with a hacksaw, and the front one provides no protection for the radiator.
That's the general look of an American bobber.
The sound…noooooooooooo 😢 they killed it…
I wish they would launch their bikes in india
The exhaust need some help of aftermarket
I am looking at the 2021 version
I like these tbh and have never really been a fan of cruisers. Also went to MCL today and fist bumped somebody and said yh, motobob... it wasnt you! 😂🙃😜
2025 engine cover looks like a toy😂

looks definitely more aggressive not as "flat"
I want one
The previous engine looked cooler
101 please
You might address one of the main complaints about Indian: too many cheap Chinese parts that rust and wear out prematurely.

BA-BUH lmao

Who goes from forward controls to mid controls on a cruiser.... weird take.
The TFT dash is awful, I rode my buddies chief that has it and you cannot read it going down the road too much information in such a little space. Especially if you wear glasses for distance.
Hi! 😅
This bike looks muscular ! Masculine.
I like tea
Coffee here😅
I wish
That thing sounds absolutely anemic.

The Sportster S doesn't even look like a motorcycle. The has terrible lines and it looks more like a Fisher Price toy.
Still got those really cheap lookin foot pegs though
They ruined the styling 😢 Radiator, improved, everything else, nope. Lost its uniqueness 😐
lovely looking bike think Indian's are much nicer than HD, shame it sounds so shit.
Yeesh, that engine looks like it should be powering an offshore generator. It's about as interesting looking as a boiled potato.
It's a terrible looking bike. Enough trim to fill a VW engine compartment. 3/10
Totalt ruined the scout bobber. Looks terrible
Nice looking bike but brake disc missing from front wheel
Can it still only lean 2inches before you scrape the exhaust off? And i see they still have a teeny tiny fuel tank. 🥱 pass
