April, you should check out why Temu is so cheap. They sell products made with slave Uyghur labour.
It's pretty funny what people will accept sponsorship money from, even when it's the absolute antithesis of their personal brand. A channel about making things yourself, the right way, made in the USA, promoting bottom-tier drop-shipped disposable garbage made in China and powered by human rights violations. It'd be cool if you had standards for what you're willing to promote.

At your location I would definitely do some type of deal with the RV Park next door for some kind of exclusive. Great way so increased revenue. Maybe offer a Happy Hour on the tree house deck which I would rename the 19th Hole.

It's a great idea! If it's cold or rainy weather, indoor golf is nice. Plus with the Trackman Software, it has over 250 golf Courses world wide. You can play the Course of your dreams. It also has analytics to show you your club swing, face, etc so you can correct. It's a great concept. Thanks for watching.

Your bottom plates are supposed to be pressure treated if they're against concrete. I would've staggered the OSB too, it'll give y our wall a bit more rigidity. At least until the bottom plates rot out, anyway.
I was thinking the same thing. I would even be using a capillary break between the base plate and the concrete

I didn’t see you put any type of moisture barrier under the wall plates. Wood will pull moisture out of the concrete. I’ve seen it happen many times during my time as a carpenter. 😊

Most of the stuff I have gotten from Temu has been junk! All the other builder that have reviewed items from Temu have said it is mostly junk! I am happy you had good luck with it.
I think it's just like Harbor Freight...you gotta be choosy about what you're getting.

What were the screws you used for the base plates?
They were blue, so most likely the brand called "Tapcon". They come in various lengths and thicknesses with either a screw head or a nut-drive head. Available in most hardware stores.

is there no need to stager the joints of the OSB to strengthen it??

7:55 does the hammer function on that makita no longer work or something?
Yeah it does but that's a setting on a regular drill vs an actual hammer drill. A dedicated hammer drill makes this task go really quick.

Did I miss something? I didn’t catch any marks on the sill plates to see that they were treated and they certainly don’t look it in the video. Untreated against concrete is a recipe for rot.

First let me say April I love your tube posts I don’t even mind your promotions for certain companies but I draw the line promoting TEMU,true some items are good value but majority of items are tat British for crap excuse my English you can do better than temu april
I hear ya, but I think it's just like Harbor Freight.....they have some real gems but you need to find them. The items I listed are great finds and at great prices!
There is a lot of negative press around Temu these days, including allegations that simply installing the app on your phone gives them tracking abilities. I'm not sure how much of it is true, but seeing as many of the items on there are knock offs... I would avoid using them, and especially would not install the app
I enjoy watching and learning from your videos, it is just a shame you are accepting support from China (Temu) and selling out.
