I can’t think of a more inspiring story of taking a leap of faith and believing in yourself, and actually seeing it documented to follow the progress. From a beginner DIY’er to an absolute powerhouse entrepreneur, an inspiration to everyone (most importantly women) that anything is possible
April. I’ve been watching your videos for a long time. Love how you maintain ones your energy, drive, and above sense of humor through all your projects. Love this one!
Another option for your soundproof wall is what I have always heard called a "party wall". 2x6 plates top & bottom with 2x4 studs. It takes twice as many studs, but seriously soundproofs. I did it for my drum room. Half the 2x4s are flush with one side of wall & half flush with the other side. Nail 2 a couple inches apart, 16", 2 more, 16", 2 more, etc. The pairs are one flush with one wall side & the other flush with the other wall side. (staggered) Hope that's clear. Now your wall board, (drywall, OSB, whatever) on one side is Not connected to the other side. Insulate & you're soundproof.
April it is amazing and very cool to watch you over the past 7+ years. you've come a long way since I met you at Hartville hardware in Hartville, Ohio. I was the gut in a power wheelchair with the little white service dog.
I started building houses with my dad when I was 8 years old. So glad I got the chance to do that. Built my own house and shop, my sons shop, and several remodels. Became a millwright early on which took me into the electrical field. I love building or making anything I can dream up so I know what you are talking about. 😊
April, this is fantastic! I wish you success in this new business venture. So glad you documented the build and the process. This has been a great series. I hope all goes well. Thanks for all you do!
Id love to do the same in a well populated city, like a golf bar and grill + cornhole + chipping area + putt putt... but the start up $$ is a lot. Pretty much all the hobbies I could crame into a single location would be exciting.
April!!! You guys are always fun too watch. Congratulations on your new business endeavor. I may need to take a trip out your way to see it firsthand. Thanks for sharing🤙🏾💯
I’ve e been enjoying you videos for a while. In fact you didn’t have the wood shop then. This particular video was closer to heart than you may realize. Halt way through my military career, I was the senior guy. I used to tell my junior members to become qualified in everything they can. You’re more valuable if you how to meet the goal. Thank you for this one. Hey cell phone chargers on the tables or walls might go well with baked goods 😊
Congratulations on the new venture, I wish you all the best. Great video production and project flow - just enough of the detail and such energy. Love it. I hope you had a good trip down under - two weeks is not enough though, so much to see and do here in Oz.
Great video series. I love the concept. Are you planning on doing a follow-up video on the costs and revenue generated as you've done with your other venture?
Long time Aussie subscriber………hope Australia treated you well?………Keep up the good work, loving the channel…….here’s a crazy idea, you should come to Australia again for LIV golf in Adelaide 2024!
Hey April I was waiting for this ending for a while because i have always been interested in your work - You have previously shown exact enthusiasm and shown all, But in this last finish - You cut and Edited it all out. Myself I did not want to know about welding, I wanted to see progress & know about Divots.
Good morning, April! Thank you for another wonderful video. Yes, your accomplishments are rewarding to you, but they're also rewarding to us as your subscribers. Seeing your grow and expand your business is one of the best things THIS subscriber has been a part of. Here's to continued success and most of all, happiness in what you do every day. God bless.
Don't mean to bash a sponsor, especially since I love a lot of Rockler's stuff. However, I got a pair of those one handed clamps to do the EXACT same thing you were doing with the top plate. One of the clamps broke immediately when the self tapper hit the metal. To Rockler's credit, they did replace it under warranty.
Well since this project is close to done you probably have the next project floating around in your mind. Constantly working on something new is a part of you. Please never change.👍
Where the golfer is standing during the eight minute fifty-ninth secondth period in the video, should be all green wall to wall - to stimulate the golf field all around...
An OSHA inspector sees your video there will be some fines handed out. Standing on the rail of the scaffold is a Nono. I like your energy but please show the correct way to do things. Stay safe.

Thanks! I appreciate your long time support. Thanks for staying along for the ride. :)
I do love the double branding of the Divots name and the gopher. Gives you more variety if you ever sell merchandise.
Exactly! And we are planning our merchandise now. Stay tuned and thanks for watching.

Lovely!! May I know which projector are you having?
Doesn’t look like a treated plate against that concrete on the wall. Hopefully that doesn’t rot out too fast
I love what you are doing! 👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Hope you injoyeď our country of Australia I'm shore you would have been very welcome hope you got to see a bit of our great country
Where did you buy the curtains from for this simulator
You're very inspiring!
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoy my Channel. Thanks for watching.
Well since this project is close to done you probably have the next project floating around in your mind. Constantly working on something new is a part of you. Please never change.👍
That's the plan! Yes, my mind is always working and I have a list of projects I want to do. Thanks for staying along for the ride.
metal studs !!!
Great project but what is with the knee brace?
It's a knee pad so when I need to kneel, I don't kill my knees. :) Thanks for watching.
Hello from Santa Ana California ❤🌷👍🏼
Hello from Central Texas!
Where the golfer is standing during the eight minute fifty-ninth secondth period in the video, should be all green wall to wall - to stimulate the golf field all around...
I'd like to see a cost break down
What music were you playing?
What ive seen with the golf bar and grill franchises is 75% revenue is from the simulators while the other 25% is food and drinks.
Let us know how effective your "sound wall" is.
It's great! The noisy equipment can be going and you don't hear it in Divots. Thanks for watching.
Skills.
You need a hilti gun
👍
You tried to get this video past me by posting it on Wednesday. However, it didn’t work, I still saw it April! 🥴🤨🤣
😊👏👏👏🌹
