I can’t think of a more inspiring story of taking a leap of faith and believing in yourself, and actually seeing it documented to follow the progress. From a beginner DIY’er to an absolute powerhouse entrepreneur, an inspiration to everyone (most importantly women) that anything is possible

Another option for your soundproof wall is what I have always heard called a "party wall". 2x6 plates top & bottom with 2x4 studs. It takes twice as many studs, but seriously soundproofs. I did it for my drum room. Half the 2x4s are flush with one side of wall & half flush with the other side. Nail 2 a couple inches apart, 16", 2 more, 16", 2 more, etc. The pairs are one flush with one wall side & the other flush with the other wall side. (staggered) Hope that's clear. Now your wall board, (drywall, OSB, whatever) on one side is Not connected to the other side. Insulate & you're soundproof.

I started building houses with my dad when I was 8 years old. So glad I got the chance to do that. Built my own house and shop, my sons shop, and several remodels. Became a millwright early on which took me into the electrical field. I love building or making anything I can dream up so I know what you are talking about. 😊

I’ve e been enjoying you videos for a while. In fact you didn’t have the wood shop then. This particular video was closer to heart than you may realize. Halt way through my military career, I was the senior guy. I used to tell my junior members to become qualified in everything they can. You’re more valuable if you how to meet the goal. Thank you for this one. Hey cell phone chargers on the tables or walls might go well with baked goods 😊

Don't mean to bash a sponsor, especially since I love a lot of Rockler's stuff. However, I got a pair of those one handed clamps to do the EXACT same thing you were doing with the top plate. One of the clamps broke immediately when the self tapper hit the metal. To Rockler's credit, they did replace it under warranty.
