4 Easy Ways to Move Walls to Plumb

- We go to a lot of work to snap out lay out square and parallel on the floor. Then we take great care to make sure that lay out is accurate on our plates. Then we frame to the lay out. All of that can be for nothing if we don't plumb and align our walls. We need to keep walls plumb and straight while we frame the next floor above or roof.
Here are 4 easy ways to push or pull walls to plumb, and brace them so they stay that way.
The tools I use and recommend acmetools.pxf....
Please remember that I'm not showing the best way to do anything, but just the method that works well for us. Thanks for watching!
Oh and another takeaway, if you use a drone for commercial work, you need to be part107 certified. Commercial work includes social media like RUclips if you plan to make an income off of that. I watched a video about this last May and then purchased the Part 107 Course sso.teachable.... I studied and learned for 1 month and then took my test. I scored a 95%, which is a testament to how good Greg and the crew over there teach. That link will save you $100 off the course and support this channel.

That roll at the end made the entire video!
I never knew how to actually get out of the fork lift😂
Wise you are with the ways of the plumb.
Don’t let any haters cast shade on you, teach the next generation, you rock, 30 years in the trades. Got your back.
Great video! I have used all 4 of these moving/ bracing techniques. However, I did learn a valuable new lesson in exiting our telehandler. I'll be sure to incorporate that technique in our Forklift Certification Training! 😂 Keep up the great work Tim!
You didn't spoil it, but i did got curious:P
It involves a near perfectly executed PLF.
We used metal wall pullers they were amazing. Fast to setup and fast to use. Also stronger than any wood brace.
Theft in my area prohibits using this method unfortunately.
@@lorenrickey5481 wow that's sad alot of criminals used to know Don't steal from the working man
The ones with the built in turnbuckles? Awesome!
Learning something and having fun at the same time…Priceless!!
Thanks for the Sunday video. 👍😁
I subscribed to your channel after watching your roll over technique 😂😂😂😂😂
oh Thk u Tim! I know it’s a lot of work appreciate you!
See, I've been watching the channel and all, and saw your subtle "check out how rock solid my not-an-overlapped top plate join is" at 1:56. The straps are so fly.
I like the way you explained thanks for all the tips 👍
I subscribed simply because of the extreme landing at the end.
Great video great information
Thank you very much, great job n good tricks
Greetings from Atlanta Ga.👍
Thanks for showing the (not-)outtakes :P
Would like to see you teach a course on what wage to ask for to join the crew. Economic’s of living life by Friday’s payroll is not taught in any trade school. $45 an hour here for kitchens & baths. New recruits don’t sell yourself short.
Taxes / insurance/to billing/ change order. W9 form ,How to make coin framing….
Excelente trabajo 👌👌
It was no treble to catch the bass joke. (;
I also hope that you all have as much fun as demonstrate in your videos.
Tim I am standing in a huge heap of 3/4” & 1/2” Melamine I hv to turn into Cabinets! So in order to motivate myself I looked for something close to what I do ( finish) but a million miles away & just funny!
The roll or should I say COMBAT ROLL; was the icing! “ I was not asking you Noah”!
I use a concrete wall form turnbuckle with a structural screw in the top and bottom. Push or pull all you want. No fuss no muss
Have you used turnbuckle bracing they are pretty cool and easy to use
I tend to make a lever on the bottom place to my rack brace. This squish brace really helps when you need some extra tugging. Do you guys use screws for everything?
Was the last tip in case of a shoot out and ensuing fire happens at the same time?
😆
Sometimes I need to use the tough but fair method. "Straighten up and stand right, I ain't having no one come by and say no wall of mine was built like some loose DR Horton hussy"
But sometimes if you get lumber from the orange or blue places, you have to get a little more militaristic, and that method isn't allowed to be printed on RUclips.
It seems like King studs could be eliminated allowing more room for insulation. Just add a small one on top of the trimmer and header.
I need the 3rd tools, 1and 2 I did all the time but I don’t like to use many studs and 4th we never have in our crews.
Super cool!!!!
Ahaha Nice
How about a turn buckle screwed to a 2x
That works, assuming you’re sitting on a pile of turnbuckles.
I know to more methods
👍🔨📐
LOL
#4 is cheating 😛
Nr 4 was cheating :)
yep 🤣🤣🤣
@@AwesomeFramers actually used nr 1 today, so thanks for the video
Are you going to come back to your previous style of videos? I mean the full house construction videos episode by episode. After you turned to these tips and tricks your channel became boring. I would never become a subscriber with such content
It's still informative for those wanting to learn. Can't make everyone happy.
I prefer to let my plumber take care of this stuff. after all…. hes a professional
I also don’t think the emphasis on everything being straight is very modern of you
