Would be cool to have a long drive leaderboard for each club you use, abit like the lap time one they had on top gear for but club distance! See which comes out on top at the end of 2021
That driver to me has a 5/5 look. Love the matte black and the silver and black on the bottom. Modern looking but mean with design. Dope looking driver.
I have had the G425 LST for about a month now. It is a weapon and I love it. When I get a solid centre shot I get approx 30 more yards than I have with any other driver. 2 Handicapper
Just purchased the Ping 425 LST and it’s a rocket ship. Tested the max and it was a little higher spinning for me. Getting a consistent extra 20 metres and when I catch it then I’m hitting 310m/339yds. This is on the course data too not in the simulator. Oh and it’s surprisingly straight and forgiving
I've got a 425 LST head on order. I just love the smaller head size and face angle is so square at address. Even the LST model is forgiving across the face. Not quite as much as the Max, but I prefer the slightly smaller head size. Great review Pete. I know it's not a huge upgrade from the g410, but I had to have it!!
Just bought the Honma TW 747 460cc. Took it out 2 days ago since it was above freezing and got it set to what I liked and then put the key away! Ready to get it out on the course ASAP.
I appreciate that this shows more or less the same that Rick found. The LST can go further with good strikes, but even for RIck the Max and LST averaged out to same spd/distance with the mishits on the LST. That Max is looking like a possible replacement for my 910 D3.
Great video Pete. I’m using Ping G425 Max with Rogue White 70X found I got similar numbers with Max and LST so went with a bit more forgiveness. I’m based in New Zealand so we had earlier release and I’ve been playing it for about a month. Probably my favourite driver I have owned to date.
Love the review of the new Ping driver. I’m using a Ping G400 which goes very well. Great work and looking forward to the next review and seeing the score out of 50
I currently play TM M6 driver. When I flush it, it performs very well. It's not as forgiving as I'd like when I don't hit it in the center of the face. We received Ping 425's in our shop last week to demo. I played two rounds with the 425 Max and will definitely be putting one in my bag. This club is always in the fairway and with minimal loss of distance on mis-hits.
I'm a handicap 12 and I was with the PING G25. Absolutely loved it, but wanted to cut some of my spin off to create more distance (I was doing around 3800 rpm...). Changed to the Mavrik subzero, and it's a completely different story. You can see how PING keeps its commitment to forgivness, whilst Mavrik is much more demanding, but rewarding when you hit the sweetspot. Still having some troubles getting used to it though...
Currently using a g400 absolutely love it. Just bought a PXG 0811xf gen 2 couldn't resist as such a good deal But I love the g425 will probably get the max
Currently using a Callaway Rogue Driver, I go between 9 and 10 degrees of loft depending on conditions. Have only had it for one summer so far, and plan to keep it for years to come.
This is an honest review for a Driver set at 7.5 degrees. This is great if your target audience is scratch golfers, like yourself. But most amateurs over a 10 hdcp would not (should not) play a driver with that low a loft, IMO. I think a more honest review for the average golfer would be a driver set at 9 - 10.5. Love the videos. Keep'em coming.
Pete always manages to do something that other Golf RUclipsrs aren’t. It’s always just a subtle difference, but seems very effective. Well played Pete sir, love the rankings idea. Well done for keeping your videos original in a competitive market. 🤌🎩
I'm still using the Titleist 917 D3. It's really solid and it did'nt cost much. Probably buying a new driver next year and finally getting fit properly!
i play a Cobra F9, fairly new to me. I never have budget for new clubs. But if you asked me what driver i would try first it would be a Ping. Everyone just seems to love them
Peter "Bomber" Finch showing the way with the Ping. I am gaming a Speedzone and used a borrowed G SFT driver before. Man that Ping could cure the slice and fade. Love my Speedzone and wouldnt trade it for the world.
I swapped driver last september. Moving out from my old Titleist 917 D3 to a Taylor made Sim max with a lighter shaft, a ventus blue in stiff. Best swap I have ever made club wise I think. Now the focus is towards a 3-wood, to exchange my skied Titleist 910fd... Which i still hit quite good, but I cant stand the sky mark...
I’m currently using the Mizuno ST200. I had a Ping G400 Max a couple years ago and loved it. When I tried the G410 I hated it. It felt completely different and was not forgiving at all. I’m looking forward to see how the G425 feels but am partial to the Mizuno line coming out. Can’t wait to hit the STz.
Peter - Thank you for bringing great videos to keep our spirits up! I just got my Titleist TSi3 in 10* loft with a Tensei White stiff. So stable, I love it!
I’m currently using a G410 driver and it’s the straightest longest and most forgiving driver I’ve ever used. If this is better, and knowing Ping it is, it’s a great driver.
Your reviews are soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much better than all the other RUclips golf guys. Keep it up Pete, great stuff. You should do a driver bracket challenge like the TXG boys, would be awesome.
Fitted for G410 LST 6 months ago.... Should have waited but still money well spent. Looking forward to getting fitted for fairway Wood ASAP.....when courses re-open...
Hi Pete. I’m currently using the Taylormade SLDR 460. Set at 8.5 degrees very small draw bias with the weight. And upgraded fujikara 90g S flex shaft. The new Pings do look awesome. I’d never be able to afford anything new really.
I tested out the Max and the LST and found little difference in forgiveness. If anything I was slightly more accurate with the LST so that’s the one I went with. Outstanding driver.
Callaway XR great driver TM 2016 M2 Ping G 400 Have not had a chance to get these 2 out yet but my top 2 wanted clubs so will see how it goes when I do
Nice review, like the scoring format. Subjective though it may be, as long as the reviews are consistent across the clubs you test then it will still show the good, the bad and the ugly 😉😂
I've hit some of the best drives of my life with this driver. I set it at 10 degrees and find it quite forgiving. My miss with a driver is when I over hook it but I've yet to experience that shot with this driver. Genuinely excellent equipment.
Currently playing with Cleveland Ti460 and am constantly looking at reviews for a much needed upgrade. Have been suggested the Ping G425 LST by a friend of mine so will get out to the range to have a bash at some point
My current stick is a decade old! Old Callaway razrX. I am in the market this year for a new monster! the PING interests me. I looked at the 410 before knowing the 425 was coming out. I think between you and Rick I can make some choices!
Currently using the TaylorMade M2 2020, just got back into golf so need something cheap but does the job. I would go for the G425 Max once my swing and overall driving performance has improved. Mate this video was quality, those shots into the drink 🤣
I play a taylormade R1, but I have a trusty Ping G10 with a ust shaft. I love the sound of both. I don't like the carbon sound. I am excited about the G425, but I never buy new. First driver in a while that I'm excited about. The G410 flew under the radar and made headlines when people got fitted.
Love the new format Pete! Look forward to seeing some on course data as well. Currently playing the TM Sim max. I don’t see anything tempting me to change it any time soon!
Great job Mr Finch, ping is awesome, great drivers being swung by the long knocker himself. Keep up the good work. Love the new studio, God bless you Pete
Hey everyone, it would make my week if tomorrow you message someone something really nice to raise a smile in these difficult times ❤️
Great shout Pete, I’ll do just that 👍🏻
I use the taylormade M6 in 8.5 degrees. Carry it around 265 to 270yrds with a draw. I'm 15 and you have any tips to get faster??
@@braydenirishgolf8295 If you're carrying it 270 yrs at 15 you should be GIVING tips! 😉
Price £399 hotgolf
@@waynecalvert206 £399 on Clubhouse Golf aswell
I love how honest PING are. They don’t talk nonsense about adding 15,000 yards every time a new club comes out
Would be cool to have a long drive leaderboard for each club you use, abit like the lap time one they had on top gear for but club distance! See which comes out on top at the end of 2021
This is a FANTASTIC idea Alex! I absolutely love it. Do it Pete!
Love top gear! What a great idea.
Do something like Top Gear used to have!
Mabye even a cool wall, in grading how they look.
Awesome idea. No procrastinating Petey boy get this show on the road!

I'm in TSi3 and I could never get over the PING looks, despite their top notch performance.
Rick tested the MAX and felt it was very forgiving and straight !
May not have anything original but I do love this Ping driver. Never did I think I would be playing Ping driver.
Just when the G410 pulled me out, the G425 pulls me back in. Great review and format, Pete.
Makes the litany of club reviews on RUclips MUCH more enjoyable. Scores, playing on famous holes we all know...great stuff. Keep it going.
I’m using a Taylormade M4 driver and it has treated me well.
It’s gorgeous and feels great. I was finally able to swing it yesterday. Very forgiving.
Just bought the Honma TW 747 460cc. Took it out 2 days ago since it was above freezing and got it set to what I liked and then put the key away! Ready to get it out on the course ASAP.

Currently using a Tommy Armoure TA1 driver 9°. Bought it brand new 2 months ago. So far I love it
Great video Pete. I’m using Ping G425 Max with Rogue White 70X found I got similar numbers with Max and LST so went with a bit more forgiveness. I’m based in New Zealand so we had earlier release and I’ve been playing it for about a month. Probably my favourite driver I have owned to date.
"Go on get on the first tee!" - top banter! Love it.
Super vlog - really enjoy seeing you smashing the snot out a few golf balls.
Cheers
Love the review of the new Ping driver. I’m using a Ping G400 which goes very well. Great work and looking forward to the next review and seeing the score out of 50
I'm still rocking a Callaway big bertha alpha from 2015 (I think). Tempted by the g425 max
Me 2, great driver
Titleist 909d2 1 October 2008 🤙

That is how Ping does it. They don't tell a shity storie, but they outperform everyone!
Currently got the G400... love it. My best driver ever👍
Currently using a g400 absolutely love it.
Just bought a PXG 0811xf gen 2 couldn't resist as such a good deal
But I love the g425 will probably get the max
I've played the Cobra F8+ for 2 years. I just bought the G425 LST... heading to the range right now.
Currently rocking the Ping G410 Plus cranked down to 9 degrees with a ProjectX Evenflow Black 70 Stiff. Carrying about 240-260 yards on average.
I currently have the G410, once I've watched a few reviews on the 425 I instantly ordered one.
Currently using a Callaway Rogue Driver, I go between 9 and 10 degrees of loft depending on conditions. Have only had it for one summer so far, and plan to keep it for years to come.
I'm currently using the G425 (MAX version) and i absolutely love it. Switched from the M4

Pete absolutely loving your new studio and can’t wait to see more of it! Definitely a good addition!
Just picked up ping i425 lst today played a few holes and love it
I literally just preordered one today. I was able to demo it and my stock shot went from 250 to 275 from my current epic flash
Currently using: 915D3 - Titleist; prior was G2 - Ping. (14 handicapper) ... SIM Max irons; prior was Ping Eye2 irons.
Peter "Bomber" Finch showing the way with the Ping. I am gaming a Speedzone and used a borrowed G SFT driver before. Man that Ping could cure the slice and fade. Love my Speedzone and wouldnt trade it for the world.

i'm currently using the TSI 3 driver and i really really love the sound of the Ping G425 Max
I’m currently using the Mizuno ST200. I had a Ping G400 Max a couple years ago and loved it. When I tried the G410 I hated it. It felt completely different and was not forgiving at all. Your reviews are soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much better than all the other RUclips golf guys. Keep it up Pete, great stuff. You should do a driver bracket challenge like the TXG boys, would be awesome.
I have the original 400 and it has been the best club I've owned, so much confidence, if 425 compares then can only be good.
They look so sharp! Love the grey and black colors!
That driver makes me excited, I will be trying the Max version out.
Why does it make you excited?
I’m in the market for a new driver and after all the feedback I’ve heard about the new range it’s something I’m looking forward to testing out.
@@lukpri84 get the max
I just upgraded to the Ping G410 Plus with the Tensei shaft. This driver has made a world of difference in my game.
Currently using the ST200G and I love it!
I've got the Honma TW747 because it was a demo model (cheap-ish) and it worked the best for my budget range.
Fitted for G410 LST 6 months ago.... Should have waited but still money well spent. Looking forward to getting fitted for fairway Wood ASAP.....when courses re-open...
Looking for a new driver in 2021, so the Max might be a candidate. Thanks for a good review Pete
I just got the new Ping G425 SFT Best driver I ever hit it added at least 50 yards to my drive
Loving this new star system! Should be a big year for you Peter!
Brilliant video! Looking forward to seeing your new studio once it’s all fully set up. Good luck for the rest of the year
I love Peter finch golf videos when there is new equipment to be tested
just getting better and better
Hi Pete. I’m currently using the Taylormade SLDR 460. Set at 8.5 degrees very small draw bias with the weight. And upgraded fujikara 90g S flex shaft.
The new Pings do look awesome. I’d never be able to afford anything new really.
I have always liked Ping clubs, more a test of you than the club lol
369K supporters. Well done Peter 😉 I remember when you started and asked us to subscribe - so unashamedly you told us you needed a new car!
The new G425 irons and woods do look lovely they are always consistent in performance.
I tested out the Max and the LST and found little difference in forgiveness. If anything I was slightly more accurate with the LST so that’s the one I went with. Outstanding driver.
Using The F9 didn't get fit for it so looking to get fit for something new in the Spring
A bit more of the studio revealed, looking good.
Like the look of the Ping Driver I'm still using a Taylormade M2 at the moment.
Callaway XR great driver
TM 2016 M2
Ping G 400
Have not had a chance to get these 2 out yet but my top 2 wanted clubs so will see how it goes when I do
The fact that there’s nothing new is what I love about ping. You know what you get with every ping driver- a great, forgiving golf club.
lol
Its the intangibles, the stability. It just makes golf fun and puts a smile on you face.
Just got the 425 max yesterday, can't wait to use it!😃
Peter Finch makes me smile throughout this crazy past year.
Liking the new points format Pete 👍,good luck with the new studio 👍
Getting them gains Pete! Just heading over to Rick’s review to comment “nice ball shorty”
Nice review, like the scoring format. Subjective though it may be, as long as the reviews are consistent across the clubs you test then it will still show the good, the bad and the ugly 😉😂
Still using good 'ol titlest 910 D3. Finally Going in for a driver fitting this season
I've hit some of the best drives of my life with this driver. I set it at 10 degrees and find it quite forgiving. My miss with a driver is when I over hook it but I've yet to experience that shot with this driver. Genuinely excellent equipment.

Still got a trusty Taylormade R1 I am excited about the PING G425 I love the look and could be a contender to replace my R1
The studio is looking great!
Thanks for the review Pete, between you Rick and Matt I'll have a new driver this year and improve my game or that's the plan!!!
Currently using the TaylorMade M2 2020, just got back into golf so need something cheap but does the job.
I would go for the G425 Max once my swing and overall driving performance has improved.
Mate this video was quality, those shots into the drink 🤣
Thanks Pete, great review. Love the star rating system, can't wait to see how the Ping stacks up with the rest. Keep up the great work!!!
Wow! What a flashy beast! -Pete 2021
This year is all about facts
The ball falling off the tee at 6:39 just made my laugh out loud!
G410. Impressed with your numbers Pete but I couldn’t justify changing until I can extract everything possible out of the 410. Agree?
Still rocking the 2017 taylormade M2. Absolutely killing it
Awesome studio Mr. Finch!
New space looks great Pete!
Studio looks amazing and loving the score system. Great video
Have to try the 425 still, but I love my Epic Flash Subzero
Stick with it. You wont get more distance out of the ping. Maybe more 1-2 more fairways.
Can't go wrong with epic flash
I play a taylormade R1, but I have a trusty Ping G10 with a ust shaft. I love the sound of both. I don't like the carbon sound. I am excited about the G425, but I never buy new. First driver in a while that I'm excited about. The G410 flew under the radar and made headlines when people got fitted.
Loving the "Finch Driver Index". Can see it becoming standard for all companies to use 😆
Love the new format Pete! Look forward to seeing some on course data as well.
Currently playing the TM Sim max. I don’t see anything tempting me to change it any time soon!
Such a clever way of scoring! I love it!
Used to game a Ping k15 with a tensai blue stiff shaft but recently converted to a Cobra SZ Extreme with a Hazardous smoke yellow.
Loving my Callaway XR16 stiff flex adjusted down -1' to 9.5
Great Review, Love the format of the way you are going to mark them. Please do the Max aswell.
Great job Mr Finch, ping is awesome, great drivers being swung by the long knocker himself. Keep up the good work. Love the new studio, God bless you Pete
I currently use the ping g400 @ 10.5 and i think the g425 looks awesome in all black
