"The radio for me was the 6 cylinder".......LOL what a legend!
You just know how much he enjoyed the car when he said that.
@@M539Restorations Great owner, well looked after. These cars are a pretty penny these days, specially the condition it is in. I think you should keep it as a daily or give it to Mrs M539 lol
@@PixelVogue BMW Better than a Beetle.....by far. Glorious gift for MARIA MasterMind!
@@M539Restorations exactly
Firstly, credit must be given to the original owner. As car enthusiasts, the owner Michel is the kind of owner we all should be or strive to be. Only owner, all the paperwork, neatly organised and sorted. Cared for and cherished. And how good of him to sell it to you. The emotional attachment must be unreal. And the other point is how as BMW Enthusiasts can all have such love for the same things. The original took kit and spare steel never used. That’s dream stuff. Congratulations on the purchase and can’t wait to see it be… reconditioned, as it’s in great shape already.
Amazing comment, well said.
We do have a car Trailer and are located near the belgian border. Since we are a non-profit organization that deal with older cars, we would like to offer you a cost-free transport from Belgium to you to frankfurt.
Thank you so much! However, the car was already delivered to me earlier today.
@@M539Restorations so, next time then. We keep our transportation offer open to you.

Maybe u can find something here.
this is so awesome!
What an amazing and nice man!
I didn't expect to see you here. I didn't know you were into cars.
Came here to say both "same as Adrian's comment" and "wow, Adrian likes this channel too!"
Adrians here too! C64's, classic bmw's, and super talented Sreten ! :) :)
I love how all my favourite RUclipsrs are watching the same channels as I am.
YEAH! Adrian, it's nice to see you there! I'm not the big BMW fan, but thanks to Sreten I LOVE watching videos about these cars! You are both such nice people, really! Both channels are the favourite ones I watch. :)
“When did it get out of hand so quickly?” 😂 this is the “good kind” of getting out of hand, though! Congratulations!
@m539 Sretene brate svaka cast!!!!
The organization of this guy's records for just this one car is just fantastic. original receipt from 198 something still readable...wow!
modern receipts isn't readable after 2 years....
It really is amazing! I immediately get a positive first impression of people who are well organized.
@@georget10i i would buy the car on the spot too after seeing all that. You can’t fake being orderly in life or being selective about it in the way u do things.

Take this as a sign of how much your fans appreciate your videos. I bet many of us would like to sell/give you a car.
Michel is a man after my own heart. Clearly loved his E30. I can almost feel the pain he must have felt when he crashed that door into the wall…ouch. Great to see him passing his pride and joy onto you. Fully agree that preservation is the way to go on this one. Congrats and enjoy it!
How awesome is this? This gentleman sells you his E30 he’s had for almost 40 YEARS. Has an amazing story and a car in absolutely beautiful shape and he gives you and your misses a basket of Belgian beers. Can’t wait to see this car on the channel.
My Dad had a 323i in the same colour with the same interior, I sat in the back of that car as a child for many thousands of miles and loved it!
So nice to see you picking up an E30! this one is a keeper for sure with the great history.
E30 is in my opinion the most beautiful vehicle ever made. The one Streten bought was like a time machine with a bit of dust!
My 1988 BMW E34 520i has the same M20B20 engine, it's also delphin grey and it also has a Mtech steering wheel and it was last summer, also a car that had been off the road for 10 years... it got a new windshield today, changed all ignition parts, welded, done some bushings, clutch, all manual gear shifter links, some new panels, removed all surface rust and just made it a gem now... love it to bits!
Sweet. Dolphin grey, classy! I've held off the suspension refresh for the mo. A 760 and M5 mean the money has to be spread around. Good luck with yours.
Does anyone else remember the second part of Project Dubai, where Sreten says "And someone's hobby is getting out of hand", while showing his four BMWs? Yeah. Now he is at 10/11. This channel grew so fast that it's almost unbelievable. Keep up the amazing work, Sreten! Us car enthusiasts need you!
Great find my E30 brother!
Collab already!!! :) Alex you can go to Germany and get on the Nurburgring and visit Sreten!
Niiiiice, Alex is here too. Can’t wait for you to start on your white E30. Great job on fixing the V12 by the way, phew. Looking forward to see the CL65 AMG running in the next episode.
Found this channel through Alex's at Legit, both have amazing content. Easy watch style
As a long term e30 owner, I am happy for you! This is how you want to find a project car 🙂 Subscribed 👍
Oh yes, now an E30 is definitely something we like to see Sreten! As a huge E30 enthusiast and someone who has documented this a lot on my channel, I'm really looking forward to seeing this series develop. Awesome work! 👍
sneaky promotion :) Had a look on your channel. That is some good quality stuff you do over there.
@@JoGe49 😂 thanks man! I'd love to see some more E30 enthusiasts!
@@ironmantooltime awesome selection of cars there! Love an E30 Touring of course, and really enjoying my Z4C so far. Yeah a diff would be useful on track I think but I find the current setup fine for road use 👍
I appreciate how you correct the Name with a Voice Over. You're great Gentleman.
First of all, congratulations for getting this car.
Secondly, I thank Mr. Michel for giving us the opportunity to get to know him and his car.
Thirdly, I wish you all the success with this beautiful BMW.
From me to you all the respect and appreciation
I like the E30's but I really appreciate the respect Sreten shows the E21's. The E21's are so underrated. Most people like to pretend the E21 doesn't exist, but there would be no E30 without the E21. Beautiful E30! Can't wait to see what you do with this one, Sreten. What a great guy that Michel was! Sorry to hear about the loss of his wife.
That's because the E21 is bookended by two BMW legends, the 2002 and the E30.
I'm meh on the E21. I have a BMW 2002 (favorite car of all time!) love the E30, meh on the E36, love the E46.
@@monunyabidness5949 The E21 has some unique attributes as well. 2002 enthusiasts complained loudly about the E21's increase in size and weight, with no increase in power. BMW had very few power alternatives at the time to the M10 (the M30 family was far too large to fit, although Alpina fitted an M30 to an E21 called the B2.8) so BMW literally shoehorned an M20 six into the engine bay. The entire front and rear subframes were reengineered for the E21 320i/6 and 323i. To this day, this is the only BMW car with two separate front and rear subframes for two completely different engine classes.
I’m not sure if you are excited or disappointed No Leaks! What a gem, when a owner looks after a car look how long it lasts! A entire “Binder full of paper work” plus a basket of beer Wake up it’s a dream! I knew Belgium was a beautiful country but what wonderful people your channel is really taking off, congratulations and looking forward to the revival!
Man! What a car! I'm so happy for you! And I assume Sébastien and Michel are also happy about their precious E30 coming to you. Thanks to both of them for making that possible. And thanks to Pierre as well.
Also: Karlsruhe up next? NOICE!!!!
I think by now, the only thing I'm missing on you channel would be a 635 csi ...
And an E36!
Still waiting for an e34 M5 Touring! 😎
Indd E24, E34 and E36 would be lovely! But we've got to have something to look forward to for the upcoming years, right 😋 guess it also has to come onto his path..
An M1 would be nice too!
Had to come back to this after seeing the last episode
Just came back here again after watching the wreck in the 6th part, Man i feel sad, you were so excited for this one!
Glad you are okay!
I cannot wait for the video of Michel driving this E30, one more time
Truly a beautiful car, I love the specification, very early 1983 chrome bumper, 2 door, 6 cylinder, 5 speed, delphin grey, steel wheels, radio blanking plate, sport seats. Truly perfect!
And the history is amazing. Its no wonder you weren't interested in my shitbox E30 Touring haha.
I'm sure you will anyway, but remember to check the fuel hoses going up to the fuel rail. If the ends crack they can leak and cause fire.
Hearing that distinct "Coming up" always makes my day. This is truly a treasure you've found. If you send me the floppy disk, I'll extract what's on it for you.
Finally, an e30!
What a fantastic find! My E30 is at my parents' house because I have no space for it in London. This video is making me miss driving it so much! E30s are the sort of car you get out of once you park, and find yourself standing there and staring at how great it looks.
I feel honored to have experienced this beautiful interaction. Thanks to all for making my day. Appreciate the AMAZING content everytime!
Watching your videos for me is not only about entertainment. It's about history, lots of moments people shared with the cars, and about a shared passion for cars, restoration and mechanical stuff. Thanks Sreten.
This car is a testament to Michel and the care he bestowed on the car. Michel, you did a wonderful job!
This owner has my respect in the way he treated he his car. Unbelievable very few people do this. Keep all the documents and keep up with the maintenance. He loved his BMW.
True. Cars are treated as disposable often not getting basic servicing and so they die. Such a waste.
Respect for people like Michel. He would rather sell something that is very close to his heart than let it continue to rot and waste away. I suppose the main problem is finding the right person who will give the car the same love and attention that Michel gave it in his younger years.
Great find. I bought mine brand new in October 1983. 320i manual 3 door steel wheels in Dolphin Grey. Fantastic car with the smoothest of engines ..... anyone remember the advert with the 50 pence piece balanced on the engine?
I almost cry when he’s giving you the keys for the car man! Great guy! I hope he can drive the car in the future!
The channel is complete! 2dr, non soon roof, no radio, keep fit windows, 325i, rear shagging blind, and comes with beers! What a dream!!!
When BMW made the ultimate driving machine. My dream car was a 325i back in the 80s. Borrowed one for a few days and it was lovely. Beautiful to drive and plenty enough power plus the growl of that straight 6.
Those people seem like the type of people you really want as friends. What a lovely gesture to add the hamper. I want to see this car your main focus and give it 100% like I know you will.
HOLY COW that's a CLEAN e30! What an amazing owner, he clearly LOVED that car
My driving instructor had that car back in 1986. I learned to drive on it, this exact model, only in white. Memories.
This story with the original owner was great, thanks for sharing it with us
These things are worth a fuggin fortune in Australia. Love em. Dad had a 1989 325is with the M Sport body kit on BBS 16's in charcoal grey metallic. Such a beautiful car.
Finally an E30. Searching for E30's is how I originally stumbled on your channel. Also glad you are fixing a car that means so much for (insert audio) MICHEL.
Wait a second, 249000KM is only 154000 miles. That's almost 100000 miles less than my '04 E46! I'm amazed. What a great find!
I love how little the engine moved when it was started and cold. Such a smooth engine those old straight sixes.
Absolutely fantastic. My dad had one back when I was a kid. He got a Alpinwhite 320i 4 door. I loved it. It appeared so fast to me in the early 80's.
Michel was so nice, you can see how much he cared about this car!
And huge respect to you Sreten, for being really nice and humble person!
Welcome to the Delphin E30 Overlords cult! I have a 325is with the American market diving board bumpers for recreational diving purposes.
What a story.. That car is one of the rare ones. ..and in fantastic condition. Not my choice of colour, but with the story, the lovely owner aso, you got a good one there i think.
You know you are lucky when your 2 favorite youtubers post a restoration of a E30: LegitStreetCars and M539
Hell yeah, the 325i on LSC and the 320i here. Great cars!
This guys record keeping, is freaking legend!
A stunning and superb example of a very early E30. Lots of E30 enthusiasts would take off these chrome bumpers and replace them with the MTech 1 or MTech 2 bodykit from later versions of the E30. I hope you keep this stunning example in its original spec from factory. It's very special when you find these one owner cars that were so well taken care of.
I totally understand Michel's emotional connection to the car, I had one with my E34 which also had a low number of owners and was in excellent condition.
I'm really excited that you're taking on all these older 3 series projects, but please don't overwhelm yourself with too many cars. I love this channel!
Wow !! What a rare find. That car needs to be kept for sure.
I am still hoping and waiting to see an E36 ///M3 with S50B32, SMG.
Congratulation Sreten.
I have not been having a good day. This..this helps
holy grail of the E30 series back then incl. all the docs and bills and finally fool set of BMW tools.
very kind belgium owner who had taken care for it pretty well
And Sebastian / Piere helped a lot cause such repair books have become pretty rare - after 30 + x years - regardless which language they are in
So wholesome, would love to buy a car from a first owner like this.
Wow just wow. Finding any Car that age with only 1 owner is Amazing. Wonderfull Scheunenfund
What an awesome first and original owner. If only all car enthusiasts were this respectful to their vehicle and kept them in such great condition. You're a lucky man to be the new owner of this lovely E30 and I don't blame you for wanting to keep it for yourself. Some period BMW alloys may be a tasteful addition though with the OEM steels tucked away somewhere.
@m539 Restorations. Top tip about the e46 touring: you can slide the roller-beam of the boot cover in two special bracket on the back of the rear seats (when they are folded down). That way the cover is secured for driving and out of the way!
Huge respect to Michel and Sebastian. You are a credit to this world. My condolences to your wife and legendary mechanic.
Great E30 Car, these cars are amazing survivors in the right hands
Had a 320i in the early 90ies. Really loved it. ABS was an option for the 320i, back then. The ABS models came with rear disk brakes instead of the drums.
After RUclips notified me of a new video I put my best sweatpants on and grabbed my favorite fish taco. I’m ready!
Belgians are the most hospitable people. What a bunch of sweethearts.
Hello from California. My first car was a 302S. Loved that car almost as much as I love this channel.
thank you to Sebastian and ..MICHEL.
Wow, he really took good care of his car and he definitely knows he selling it to the right man.
Such amazing condition for its age! It makes me so happy to see a car that has been this well looked after from new. As someone who also buys and restores neglected (Japanese) cars, I'm usually dealing with lots of rust, bad bodywork, mechanical issues etc. Seeing something this old that's still this mint is amazing; from the unused toolkit and spare wheel to the folder of receipts and paperwork. This is what being a dedicated car enthusiast looks like!
I can feel the love that Michel gave to the 320i... Thanks for that.
As a side note, I'm really happy to hear what he said about his 323ti (it's one of my favorite BMW).
Great to see you buying "smaller" cars not only "High end products".
And for the end a spécial thank you for the subscriber that gives you those E21 parts. It will look so nice in project Castellion.
Really LOVED this vidéo, Sreten you are a joy maker.
I had a 1983 318 model in 1985 and regret ever selling it. In 2003 i decided to revisit my youth and bought a1990 318is which i have dry stored ever since and love owning this car. Good luck with your project, it sounds like the clutch slave cylinder is gone from lack of use.
So, I`m from Romania, and around ten years ago, my country was full of E30, but they were not original, welded diff for drifting, modified, engine swapped. And the nickname for this car in my country was „BMW Bear” and for the E36 was cat or kitty =))
I have never been so god damn giddy watching a YT video in my life!
Thank you for sharing this experience with us! It almost felt like I was there!
Always nice to travel for buying a car.
I did this twice, i am from belgium and came to germany in frankfurt and in Nurnberg with our car and drove back with the transport red exp-date plates back to belgium . Fantastic trip.
that original owner is first class. you had to buy that car. looking forward to future episodes !
Incredible example of a beautiful E30 and so great to see another enthusiast owner. Great video!
There is no better feeling that the car you loved end up in someone's hands so talented. Car looks like it was built yesterday, if you oversee a few details. I'm really looking forward for upcoming progress on this lovely e30
I get the guy's sentiment. I just purchased my first car, an F21 M135i in manual. It is literally perfect. I could honestly keep it forever. Not as good as buying brand new like he did, but it's still insanely exciting.
Nice, now the question is, will you have the funds or ability to maintain it. If so, it can last a long time.
Congrats on the E30, please let’s see a E34 project
Must be awesome having a partner who supports your passion.
You should definitely keep this car !!! Being a second owner of an E30 is so rare.
This is the wholesome family entertainment that warms my heart.
I learned to drive in a maroon '86 320i E30. I look forward to see this project.
Beautiful car and a great backstory, what more could you want? The original owner seems like a great guy!
After this video, my dad decided we needed another BMW in the family. We currently have 3. :)
NO WAY !
The one time Sreten comes to Belgium, it's to buy a real gem only a few kilometers from my home.
Michel is a legend, the way he treated the car, kept all the documents, receipt etc ... He reminded so much of my granddad. Who's name was also Michel. Maybe it's a Michel-thing 😂
I'm already excited to hear you pronounce "Marbais" in the videos 😁Can't wait for the next updates on that one, and all the other Bimmers 😍
Nice car this is. I used to live for E30’s and had loads, I regret selling my E30 M3 and 325i Sport the most, but I did sell them almost a decade ago.
We still have a late 1991 325i Motorsport convertible in Sebring Grey with a manual gearbox; it’s an official one of 250 with the correct 798 option code. It’s also completely and utterly utterly mint (lots of recent paint but no rust at all). It’s covered 90,000 miles since 1991!
Good luck with it.
got a bit emotional when the old boy was telling his story, the connection between man and machine is something else
And I think he was saying when his wife died he stopped driving it. Ah man that got me 😥
Great video! Best channel there is, and your take on black rims and other "improvements" is to the point. Love the E30, I had a few back in the day. According to my E30-brochures from the 80s, the 2-door E30 is not a coupé, BMW marketed it as a 2-door sedan 😉
Yeah its almost a crime to call e30 2d a coupè 😁
This brings back memories of when I was living in Landstuhl in 1981 and my friend Matthias was going to sell me a 1979 white 320 with a 1980 engine in it for $2000 - but alas, I ended up moving back to the States... I did get to drive it for a bit and LOVED it - a bit of an upgrade from my 1973 Ford Escort MKI (another car which I loved) - thanks for the video !! So glad to see you buy this car from this wonderful man !!
This story made me emotional. So glad that this man keeped this e30 and traded to the right guy Sreten!
The upload frequency almost makes me want to forget about the channel for 3-4 months so that I can binge watch and see all the progress, but it's so hard to not click on these when it appears, damn
Yeah, I feel the same way.
"When you see these cars on the road, they just make you happy"
So true!
I could not stop smiling the whole video :)
a 1983 ... a hitten gem - it was so different the early years than from 1984 and forwards - small thing like the "check" bulb in the cluster was a triangle - I simply love E30 - I have a 1988 myself - with full original AC Schnizter exterior fitted - a tribute car! :)
my god im in love with the e46, wish i could restore my fathers to that glory again
You’ve outdone yourself. Really looking forward to this E30. I used to have one and miss it. Mine had the battery in the trunk though, I thought they all did. I would have been very emotional if I was the seller, but I think he knows you’re going to take care of it the way it deserves.
Seeing an owner like this makes me so happy
OH my ..I had a Baur in green as a young man..:-) Nice to se one again..I forgot all about that car LOL ..Great videos you make.
Be great to get it back on the road and take it over to see Michel and take him out for a spirited drive in his old car again.
This is so beautiful. Brought a single tear to my eye. Thank you.
The original owner seems like sucj a good guy! Very passionate about this car
Oh man, E30's makes me so happy, I want one, that means that I have to sell my E39 M5 to get one... That won't happen. And what a nice gentleman, and the car looks absolutely fantastic.
