  • Stand around with Marshall as he updates you on the Honda Fury after riding it for 1000 miles. He's made some modifications to it also. This video was posted before, but as some of you viewers with keen brains noticed, the MATH was WRONG. It's corrected now.

    I just picked up an 2010 custom, impressive looks, satisfactory performance, reasonable handling and fun to ride. Changing to a Saddleman seat for a little more cushion to backside. A 6th gear could have been the icing on top. Ride safe... 🏍

    That bike is gorgeous, and the windscreen looks perfect. I own a Yamaha Stryker, which is nearly the same engine size, and I can only image how good that bike feels considering I've owned over half a dozen Hondas over the years.

    I took a ride Thursday night after work(225 miles) and went 141.3 before the fuel light came on and that was going down a very long mountain road, once I got leveled back out the light went back off. I filled up at 155.5 miles and squeezed 2.675 gallons into the tank which comes to 58 mpg. That's not to shabby for a 1312cc engine. Easily a 165 mile fuel range though the 2nd half of this ride was all 55-60 MPH on the highway. In the past I took a day long ride and got better than that. Had they widened this tank just slightly though I bet they could have added another half gallon easily.

      Sounds like that's correctable if you want to spend the $?
      I'm not going cross country or anything, at least nothing planned yet. I do more of around town rides and one to two day weekend type trips. I was concerned about comfort/stability as a touring bike once in a while. Sounds like with a couple of easy modifications like seats and maybe windshield, it'll do the job. Obviously love the looks and power seems about right. Did you mention your son modified his gas tank?

    Nice review, I'm especially curios about the windshield. I have a 2015 Fury I bought new and love it, still totally stock but for an upgraded radiator guard, however a windshield is coming very soon. In the worst possible fuel mileage conditions possible your bike should go 115 miles before the light comes on, I don't understand how your low that fast. I've got as much as 170 out of a tank of fuel on this bike before and as little as 121, riding circumstances makes a huge difference in fuel economy. With 2 cold start ups and a 4 mile trot to work with 7 red lights I always get 120 miles before the light comes on, and that's about as bad fuel mileage conditions as is possible though I often take a short ride after work which helps.

      @@gatorunleashed275 The interstate runs 80mph + here, so fuel milage varies with speed.

    • @gatorunleashed275
      @gatorunleashed275 2 месяца назад

      @@ridingwithmarshall Yes riding circumstances as I mentioned above. Normally cold starts and short trips equal less fuel mileage and yes the faster you go the less you average, Still not sure how yours is so low, after consuming about 2.5 gallons the fuel light comes on, so evidently running at 80 you are only averaging 39 mpg which isn't on par with my fury or other fury owners mileage based on the forums. Regardless I'm trying to decide on a windshield, the Memphis Shades Speed Demon is looking better all the time. Gotta have a windshield for Interstate riding, I do atleast. Enjoy your bikes and stay safe!

    i remember the BLT rating, just can't believe you have only a thousand miles. it's kind of funny, my credit wouldn't let me get the Fury, so i went with a 2019 Rebel 500. it has 6 speed tran. a gas gauge like the bars on a phone, but only a 2.9 gallon tank. still want a Fury, but i am happy with the Rebel.

      Oh, I have almost 5k on the Fury now, but reposted this one because I had to fix my math! I'll be doing a 5K review, possibly riding it to Sturgis! The Rebel 500 is a fine bike, and probably even faster than the Fury anyway. I want a Rebel 1100 and redesign it into a SCRAMBLER! A baby Africa Twin!

      I'm not a Harley fan. Their engineering has usually been 10 years behind the times, with prices 20 years ahead. Although there are a few good ones, many are designed in a boardroom just for looks, and it shows glaringly the first time you try to get comfortable on one. That said, the FURY is one of the most UNCOMFORTABLE bikes there is, but it is so much fun!

      @@ridingwithmarshall - my kid’s first bike (at 16) was a 650 V-Strom. Then when he turned 20, I got him a 2012 Fury with 4k miles, (unfortunately salvage title), all blacked out, so he could work on it by himself. Replaced a gas tank, put a new seat, new Hacker exhaust, fuel control module (it came with Cobra intake), to finish with some LED lights, air horn. A really nice , bad ass, bike !!
      I’m riding 97 Honda Valkyrie 😜
