Fury is a pure naked cruiser with style. The 750 is your standard looking midsize bike. The new Rebel looks to be a great commuter bike with an auto available.
I owned a 2012 Honda Shadow Phantom. I loved that motorcycle but it needs ABS. More power wouldn't hurt either. Out of these 3, I like the way the Phantom looks the most. However, the Rebel 1100 is a much better overall motorcycle. It is way more modern and performs great in every aspect.
that was awesome! i ride a Rebel 500-2019, i love it. i wanted a fury, or a Shadow 750, but my credit wouldn't allow it. The fury is so different from any other V Twin. a chopper with dependability. the Shadow is Harley looking, but again with dependability. the Rebel 1100 is a good looking bike, but owning the 500, my next one is going to be a Fury, or Shadow 750. i like the looks of a Harley, but have no desire to own one. The Fury is just freaking beautiful.!! great video!!
Great comparison video. Really appreciate the effort. I bought the 1st Rebel 1100DCT sold in Central Florida last year, and I love it. Honda makes the best bikes in my opinion.
Really wish Honda would update the the lights and tachometer for the Honda Shadow, it really needs LED lights and a fuel gauge to keep with the times. And for the Phantom version, should probably have all black pipe instead of chrome. Other than that, the Shadow is a perfect 750cc V-twin. I loved my older 1100cc Handow Shadow, except that it was carburated and was hard start in the cold and had no fuel guage. The 1100 Rebel is great too, but for it's price the rear seat and rear pegs and windshield shouldn't be add ons, but should be standard.
rear not newer need seat but windshield need be all bikes, old HD style big high shield. and rebell need change exghaus new better style, this is now ugly. and all owners say same rear suspensions need change better, have too weak and soft. if drive 2 people suspension have totally worst. because have 1 person drive weak too.
if need full life drive bike need buy only honda, if need heavy weight low power made thailand bike buy harley, if need cheap worst no long live bike buy chinese lifan etc, if need old style copy triumph etc old bike buy made in indian copy.
I have a 2016 phantom. Pretty nice until you have to go over 65 mph. RPMs run quite high when you go beyond 65. But other than that, it's great. Love it.
Great video! The Shadow is so beautiful, I'm sad they don't sell it here in Europe because of our absurdly strict regulations... However I'm saving up for the Rebel 1100, which is also pretty darn cool.
Out of the 3, the Rebel 1100 is best. The other 2 need a 6 speed transmission for the highway. On the Fury I love the 1300 engine but the style just screams "chopper wanta-be" (liked the looks of the older VX1300s better.) Phantom is nice and nimble and a great starter bike that one can ride for years and not get tired of for being too small. Thanks for the comparison video.
If they throw the 1100 engine in the Shadow you’ll have an instant Harley 975 killer. People want that CLASSIC meets modern look. My Shadow phantom was more comfy than most others in its class.
You can't throw the Rebel 1100's engine in a Honda Shadow chassis. That's why you have the Rebel 1100. The Shadow has a V-twin, belt drive, etc, it's more of an actual crusier. The Rebel 1100 is a parallel twin, has a standard chain drive, digital guage and features. It's not really a crusier at all, it's more of a naked sportbike with crusier asthetics.
Thanks for showing the comparison of these bikes. It would be nice to know a lot more about additional technical differences. However, I am disappointed in the quietness of the Honda Rebell 1100. It sounds the same as my Honda Rebel 500. I was looking to upgrade to an 1100, but I am not sure now.
I have a rebel 1100, and it sounds fantastic with a slip-on exhaust. Deep and resonant. I have a Miller, but I am sure it sounds great with others as well :)
Seriously love Honda motorcycles. Good things on all these bikes but...I Love the size, feel and power of my 2004 VTX 1300. I WISH I cold buy a 2022 VTX. Come on Honda! Great video btw.
Had an 05 VTX1300R. Was a decent bike, but those forks had to get upgraded. That fork dive when braking was horrifying. 2 up from a stoplight with that VTX was less impressive than it should have been. I knew a guy with a VTX1800 that was entirely in love with that bike. Where did Honda put that 1800!? I don’t see it in any bikes now.
I have a 2006 Harley 883c I have had since 2011 with only 4036 yes 4 thousand 36 miles on it and I will be going down too the Honda dealer too see the Shadow 750 and the Monkey 125 too try too make a deal on trade. I live in Michigan.
Im original owner of 2006 Honda Shadow 1100 and have currently put 52 thousand miles on it and no major issues just fuel pump and stator voltage regulator replaced. Other then that it runs very good still. I like that Fury maybe my next bike. Stay away from the 750 shadow it doesnt have the legs on the freeway. Stick with 1100 or bigger. Isthe exhaust on that 750 loose or was I trippin?

Cool review man. I also like all these inventions I hear about on youtube, halogen turn signals in this case. I'm quite sure they are ordinary incandescent bulbs. Yesterday I heard someone call a monochrome LCD display "analog" as opposed to the new color panels which then are accepted as "digital" :))
When I first bought my Honda I wanted a HD after hearing people pick on me call it Honda Davidson and shit now I own a HD and I'll probly never buy another Harley just to much $$$ and I love Honda way better I'd take my Honda every where and won't take my Harley to far from home for fear of break down haha.
Honda really should take the 1300 from the Fury and put it in an enlarged Shadow frame. I know the VTX used too exist, and it's a shame they quit making it. But a Shadow 1300 would be sweet.
I had an 05 VTX1300R. The front suspension was SUPER squishy and the forks would bottom out hard with moderate braking. Upgraded to Progressive Springs and 10w fork oil and it made a world of difference. Single riding was fine, but 2 up was surprisingly weak from a stop and felt far more like it wanted to tip over than my R6 did or my Wing does now. The 1800 powerplant would do wonders for the Fury. Makes me wonder why Honda stopped using it. I knew a guy with a VTX1800 who absolutely loved it.
@@BrandonWest87 So it was like stock Harley forks lol my 2020 Softail dives really bad under the most moderate of braking. It's caused me to use my rear brake for like 70% of the stopping power, because it's just an uncomfortable feeling when the nose of the bike dips way down. It is a shame the VTX1800 powerplant is gone, and of the bikes they made it's shocking they decided to keep the friggin Fury over the VTX's. You'd think they'd at least have kept the Interstate, which was built off the same frame as the Fury but far more designed for actual cruising.
@MOPARman345 HEMI I’m sure somewhere in their marketing department, the numbers made sense to scrap the VTX and keep the Fury, but from our perspectives, it makes next to no sense haha. Have a good one man!
The Shadow looks like a little beast, but any thoughts of riding these bikes went out the window with that 1980's Gold Wing "whine". How in the world do you get a 1300cc engine to sound anemic?
Great video. I have a Shadow Spirit 2007, rally is very good & nice. But to be honest I love Honda Fury look, I follow saving money to get it. For me japanese bikes are better that HD. Saludos desde 🇲🇽
and honda have japanese bike not chinese, lot different, chine made low guality cheap parts, japanese made perfect modern parts, thailand only copy all cheap work, china not made harley and honda.
Just a dummy light. The VTX1300 was the same way. I HATED not having a gas gauge. Bike would start sputtering and you’d have to reach down while moving with your left hand, fumble around for the fuel switch, flip it to reserve, then remember to flip it back after filling up. That system sucked!
@@BrandonWest87 man I hate that. That was and is the only thing I never liked about that bike. A fuel gauge would be nice but other then that great bikes. Id love to have the gauge to cut out all the guessing and calculations for long trips. You'd think this day and time they'd add it to the bikes by now. Smh. Thanks for the response. Appreciate it.
@Louis Johnson Jr. Right? I think that in those early 2000s bikes, they were still trying to imitate harley and their “traditional heritage” of doing things to bikes that began to lose traction in cars twenty plus years ago, haha.
I'm glad somebody agrees with me this was a very sad review and video no homework preparing for this no experience just horrible I can't believe what other people are put in the comments but you good job
Which drive train lasts longer? How does one do routine maintenance? Which is best for long distance travel, ie storage rack to bungee cord a rucksack onto, mpg, ability to sit upright or lean back into riding partner?
I've been eyeballing the Fury. I love the lines, and the design of it. But I'm afraid that I'm too short for it. I'm 5'5", with short legs and arms. Most bikes are to tall for me
I don’t think you’re too short. I owned a Fury for a few years and my wife (5’ 5”) would ride it occasionally when she wasn’t on her HD Iron, which is another bike you’d fit and probably be more comfortable on.
I’m 5’6” and have ridden plenty of motorcycles. It’s something you get used to. 06 Yamaha R6, 05 Honda VTX1300R, and ‘21 Honda Goldwing have been my personal bikes over the years. R6 was the tallest by far, VTX was the only one I could flat foot, and the Wing is a heavy ol’ girl but has a wonderfully low center of gravity and one footing it at stoplights is easily doable.
Walter-- i have sat on the Fury. i am 5' 6'' and it's perfect. being smaller, we look better than a 6 foot person riding it. the Fury is 100% cool factor. i couldn't afford the Fury due to credit history. i ride the Rebel 500, which is still cool. i happen to be 67 years old also. and i love Honda motorcycles.
I modify the exhaust on my shadow by drilling a half inch hole in the center of each baffle instead of removing them completely still get back pressure and sounds much better
I would have went with a fury but the tank is to small so I went with a dyna and get like 160 to a tank but maybe if they put a big tank on the fury I would get one
just to tell yall the honda shadow is a TANK, i bought a 2008 honda shadow 750 about 6 years ago for my first bike and i crashed it about 7 times each time being really bad, i will say even though i broke major components like the handbar forks, pegs and throttle ect.. the bike never once didnt turn back on never had a problem with the transmission or engine blocks even with it doing 4 barrel rolls. the durability on these bikes is something else and ill never buy a different brand now because i have so much confidence in these motorcycles. all around a good bike with a good price.
Fury is a weekend day tripper polish and sit at meet ups, the shadow is a all around good bike even for longerish trips, commutes etc. but those pegs scrape at any type of lean, the rebel “1100” not the others is the best bike if you want tech, better top end speed and good low down torque, commutes, long trips, and a lot more nimble. But it just doesn’t have the classic lines of a cruiser style bike. I like them all and damn if they aren’t dead nuts reliable. Honestly though the shadow phantom is the best looking of the 3. Imho
Rebel: Inverted Bedpan fuel tank. Everything else OK. Fury: Bustle butt w Alien Head Fuel Tank, no thanks. Shadow: Wins in profile but the Chicklet shaped Fuel Tank (top view) sucks.
What we MOSTLY heard (unfortunately) was the BEEEEEEEEP, BEEEEEEEP, BEEEEEEP of the back up signal of your work vehicles. Just about drove me insane. Maybe consider recording in a slightly quieter area?
If you are going to compare three bikes then why not hit the stats of all three, e.g. weight, number of gears, fuel tank capacity, price, color choices, mpg, accessories, etc? Provide more info/data while you test drive each one. You can ride any motorcycle one mile, they all have turn signals, throttles and brakes so you aren't really covering much while you ride a one mile run.
I haven't seen a big V Twin Honda at our Honda Dealership for over ten Years. Maybe a few used ones but. Dirt bikes & 4 wheeler off road crap is about all you get here. The Rebel was a small bike and long gone. None of these are here in our town. Not even a crotch rocket. Pitiful.
Sorry for my ignorance, but how reliable is the engine of the rebel 1100? I want the dct version, but dont know if it matters the dct version to the regular one, like "the version with the dct its full of issues and the regular works better"... dont know if its a bullet proof engine or if its very delicate with a lot of issues I hope someone can help me with my doubt, keep riding safe brothers!

Seats are uncomfortable, Honda likes blacking out everything (Makes no sense to me), and the Shadow isn't very impressive. It has no reserve, but a low fuel warning light (and that's it) and people would like to ride as long as they can before they fill up to get the most mileage. I mean I don't want to ride a scooter. A motorcycle uniquely holds the title of cheap transportation that a car and a bus can't.
The first thing the dealer tells me when pulling out a new motorcycle is when turning On the Engine, allow the Fuel Injection finish it’s Cycle before hitting the start up button. Yet this demo rider is just starting them right up in mid-flow?
I think Honda can get the Victory market since is out of the game once Honda was the ( non HD guys) favorite but since stopped to produce VTX 1800 Stateliness interstate is loosing ground although great bikes for the price 👍 therefore will be great to see who’s going to win the (non HD guys) on cruiser motorcycle ground 😁

if need full life drive bike need buy only honda, if need heavy weight low power made thailand bike buy harley, if need cheap worst no long live bike buy chinese lifan etc, if need old style copy triumph etc old bike buy made in indian copy.
I love all three of them. Would have a hard time choosing one, but to be honest oí love the yellow furry 😅
you meet the nicest people on a honda
I have 3
04 shadow aero
81 CB750c
72 xl250
I have a 2016 phantom. Pretty nice until you have to go over 65 mph.
RPMs run quite high when you go beyond 65. But other than that, it's great. Love it.
Dude I hit 80 everyday on my 2011 and it's fine.
You can push your phantom
Trust me it can take it
Awesome motorcycle!
I have a 2019 Honda Shadow phantom and I can go up to 70 just fine without any high RPMs
They are geared low but reliable so no worries. You have to get used to it.
It's a weird time to be alive when the Honda rebel is more powerful than the shadow. The rebel used to be seen as a tiny joke of a starter bike
The fury is an art to enjoy but lack the power
Partial to my Rebel 1100 (although I have the 1100T). Although I love the look and bars on the Shadow Aero.
Great video! The Shadow is so beautiful, I'm sad they don't sell it here in Europe because of our absurdly strict regulations... However I'm saving up for the Rebel 1100, which is also pretty darn cool.
Thank you! I wish they sold a few European bikes here in USA as well.
I have the spirit model from 2009 and live end Denmark.. but they dont sell new Honda shadows anymore…
Speed limited!
The VTX is awesome, should I do a side by side of the shadow vs VTX vs the fury?
@@EDPowersports yes
Yeah I have a 1800cc VTX and the only thing that I can say it needs is a 6 speed gearbox.
Lol no duh it’s a chopper style bike. 🙄
The rebel 1100 is Honda’s gate way drug into Super sport cbr land
The discontinued Honda VTX bikes were nice.
If they throw the 1100 engine in the Shadow you’ll have an instant Harley 975 killer. People want that CLASSIC meets modern look. My Shadow phantom was more comfy than most others in its class.
I have a 2007 Honda Shadow Sabre 1100 it’s a beast
Thank you! I think the shadow is timeless
My 86 shadow 1100 will smoke most Harleys
You can't throw the Rebel 1100's engine in a Honda Shadow chassis. That's why you have the Rebel 1100. The Shadow has a V-twin, belt drive, etc, it's more of an actual crusier. The Rebel 1100 is a parallel twin, has a standard chain drive, digital guage and features. It's not really a crusier at all, it's more of a naked sportbike with crusier asthetics.
I want a classic with a classic look. That's white I'd never touch a rebel.
I have a Miller, but I am sure it sounds great with others as well :)
if buy rebell best have 500 anywere not need biggest engine anywere. lot better drive city have lightweight not big engine
Where's the 750 aero?
One of the best vids on the new Honda's. Thanks man
Im original owner of 2006 Honda Shadow 1100 and have currently put 52 thousand miles on it and no major issues just fuel pump and stator voltage regulator replaced. Other then that it runs very good still. I like that Fury maybe my next bike. Stay away from the 750 shadow it doesnt have the legs on the freeway. Stick with 1100 or bigger. Isthe exhaust on that 750 loose or was I trippin?
It looked like a support was missing or loose, never seen a new Honda shake like that.
This dude rides like he just finished the MSF course yesterday! LMAO 🙂
Can you come down and sign a waiver saying you’d be financially responsible for all 3 if anything happens, plus jeopardize your own RUclips channel with 5,000 subscribers?
@@EDPowersports Bruh maybe ask one of the girls from the office to give you some pointers?
I have that shadow. Love it.
would have liked to see the sitting posture of the rider on the bike.
I'm Interested of purchasing a shadow but not the phantom.
The Rebel 1100 is great daily commuter. And it doesn't hesitate to provide you with a plenty of after work fun. ☺️
this has fury perfect beauty design, but rebel have lot better technic and drive, my option have rebell but 500cc engine, make bike lightweigh better drive and not need big engine anywere. and i not has newer seen thailand my pension country fury anywere, old shadow have and new rebel have lot. but thailand lot used rebell 300cc not big engine, if can take FREE i take fury, but if need buy one i take rebel 500cc
That green shadow 750 is great looking bike
Good video but more information will be nice. Like the weight and how many gears.
You should put your turn signal on way before you get to the corner. I hate people who signal when they're taking the corner.
Man the shadow looks good in that green and black.
Thanks for the horse power and torque info,,,torque is what we all care about,,,could talk less about the horse power
Making a video on horsepower today, stay tuned.
On a Honda Shadow 1100 took the second coming place. Official dry weight of the bike by the book was 288kg. The date 28.08.2000
One of the best MC videos!😎
@@BrandonWest87 I have a vtx 1300 spoked version. I find absolutely none of your complaints about the bike to be true. Do you weigh like 400 lbs?
The Shadow looks like a little beast, but any thoughts of riding these bikes went out the window with that 1980's Gold Wing "whine". How in the world do you get a 1300cc engine to sound anemic?
Great video. I have a Shadow Spirit 2007, rally is very good & nice. But to be honest I love Honda Fury look, I follow saving money to get it.
For me japanese bikes are better that HD.
Saludos desde 🇲🇽
Saludos amigo! Y gracias.
China makes Honda's as well as Harley Davidson, my Triumph was made in Thailand.
@@tommartinez62 and HD make today in thailand too. not have true american bike today.
@@mattivirta Thanks I thought HD was Chinese/
and honda have japanese bike not chinese, lot different, chine made low guality cheap parts, japanese made perfect modern parts, thailand only copy all cheap work, china not made harley and honda.
Thks... for this test between differents models honda custom.
Forgive me for my english. 👍from Paris . France
Quick question . Does the shadow actually have a fuel gauge on it this time? I have a 01 and thats the only thing I hated about the bike.
I'm pretty sure it doesn't have a fuel gauge.
Amazing, not a word about the engine? A more superficial review I have never seen.
I'm glad somebody agrees with me this was a very sad review and video no homework preparing for this no experience just horrible I can't believe what other people are put in the comments but you good job
Great content thank you for sharing this. Great content you deserve a raise 👏
Honda...bring back the VTX 1800!!!
I'd buy a new vtx1800 or Valkyrie, with modern tech instantly
Which drive train lasts longer? How does one do routine maintenance? Which is best for long distance travel, ie storage rack to bungee cord a rucksack onto, mpg, ability to sit upright or lean back into riding partner?
All three are very nice :) For me, the Fury is stunning! :)
I ride an 02 shadow 1100 spirit and it rides smoother than butter!
I'm 5'4 and ride a 99 Shadow 1100 just fine. I took my time to get used to it before regular riding. I also wear some nice work boots.
Fury❤️❤️❤️
Even my Honda Navi has a gas gauge that’s crazy 10:23
Bring back the Stateline and the Interstate 1300!!
1998 honda shadow 750..American classic edition...the best .motorcycle
Where is Ed located?
Which bike are you interested in? I’m in south Florida
I would have went with a fury but the tank is to small so I went with a dyna and get like 160 to a tank but maybe if they put a big tank on the fury I would get one
Why Honda stopped making the muscle cruisers. The VTX is the shit!
Honestly, a great bike enjoys with a nice person (like shadow bike) but the Fury is so gourgeos!
just to tell yall the honda shadow is a TANK, i bought a 2008 honda shadow 750 about 6 years ago for my first bike and i crashed it about 7 times each time being really bad, i will say even though i broke major components like the handbar forks, pegs and throttle ect.. the bike never once didnt turn back on never had a problem with the transmission or engine blocks even with it doing 4 barrel rolls. the durability on these bikes is something else and ill never buy a different brand now because i have so much confidence in these motorcycles. all around a good bike with a good price.
Shadow: Wins in profile but the Chicklet shaped Fuel Tank (top view) sucks.
and rebell worst digital gauge, shadow too old technic need upgrade all bike new, fury need big tank
What we MOSTLY heard (unfortunately) was the BEEEEEEEEP, BEEEEEEEP, BEEEEEEP of the back up signal of your work vehicles. Just about drove me insane. Maybe consider recording in a slightly quieter area?
Just to bad they don't make the big vtwin shadows anymore like the 1300 or the 1800 VTX.. the rebel sounds like a sport bike
@Honda bring back the Shadow 1100!
It’s been a few years since I seen a drum brake
shadow have too old all technic need upgrade to rebell style lot all new.
Do any of them have a fuel gauge?
The Rebel 1100! Great question. Thank you for asking
This was a driving and comfort comparison. The rest will be in another video.
Bring back Shadow 1100's!!!
Rebel's ugly af.
Pitiful.
Great job . Thanks .
Sorry for my ignorance, but how reliable is the engine of the rebel 1100? I want the dct version, but dont know if it matters the dct version to the regular one, like "the version with the dct its full of issues and the regular works better"... dont know if its a bullet proof engine or if its very delicate with a lot of issues
I hope someone can help me with my doubt, keep riding safe brothers!
Do you guys have any Rebel DCTs in?
Thanks for the review
Is the ground clearance/lean angle on this Shadow as good as the Shadow Spirit 750 of the 2000s.
Rebel 1100 for Me
just bought a 2004 honda shadow 750 for 3grand with 30 000 kms on it. had vance hines pipes along with many other upgrades, my first bike is a vulcan 500 so a nice difference
That's lowkey expensive I had bought a 2006 Honda shadow Sabre 1100cc for 1200 bout 3 years back they really not that expensive
@@bullseye1470 low key expensive nah man the bike is easy with 8 grand. vance and hines everything, mustang seat(s), foot pedals custom saddle bags, multiple wind shields, you wont find a bike like this for below 5 grand around here. bikes dont go for 1200$ and ready to run the whole season without any issues. it just wont happen. i wish you all the luck with your bike, i just know the owner of this bike and it doesnt even have 2000km a year on it. its very worth the price
@@tylerbelanger5904 where the hell you live getting ripped off lol like I said mi es was a 06 13k miles 1100cc floorboards saddle bags bigger windshield for 1200 if you look and are patient you can find Hella deals ..idk 3k for a shadow
@@bullseye1470 13k miles is over 20000 kms. Your bike isn't as good of a deal as you think. Plus if your American, your prices go up a lot. An other thing is not everyone wants a 1100 cc bike. That's too big for me. I've talked to dozens of people and your the only one who wouldn't pay that with everything the bike has. Maybe you don't know a deal when it hits you.
@@tylerbelanger5904 maybe you're stupid and over paid it's ok if you did or maybe you where just too exited I would be if I would of being upgrading from that little bike
I love the HONDA Shadow but unfortunately I don't have the money to buy it
old shadow have lot used cheap bike, but all shadow have too old all techic, need upgrade all new ,rebell technic have 100x better than too old shadow.
Excellent and useful comparison, I am 6 feet tall which bike do you think is suitable for my height and I can learn to ride on it
I think Honda can get the Victory market since is out of the game once Honda was the ( non HD guys) favorite but since stopped to produce VTX 1800 Stateliness interstate is loosing ground although great bikes for the price 👍 therefore will be great to see who’s going to win the (non HD guys) on cruiser motorcycle ground 😁
I wish Honda would add cruise control to the Fury since the Rebel 1100 has it.
I would the would put the paddle shifters and dct on other bikes I like the 1100 a lot with me being a fomer Leo with thumb and hand injury the rebel 1100 is what I went with love it but I would like to see that type of stuff on other bikes as well all great bikes I have had a few HD just not a fan of the cost of up keep and parts I like to hold on to my money 💰
Biggest fan Powamoto says let me test ride Dat Thang 🤟💯🔥🚀🤘👍🚀🔥fury plz
like the shadow, hate the wheels and rear drum brake...
Thank you! I think you’re right!
I actually like the spoke wheels makes it have a classy look but I do agree with you on the drum break it should have a disk.
I absolutely despise the anemic sound of the rebel exhaust. Trying to convince my wife to upgrade her exhaust as we speak.
vocês são sortudos ai no norte. Aqui no Sul, no Brasil, a Honda só tem 160cc street bike, nenhuma custom.
The vs video everyone been waiting on
Not a single decent display on either bike . Damn honda does such a great job on dependability and performance and aftermarket... but the display and fuel tank capacity SUCKS . That's my only complaints
When you own a shadow and know the key immediately before this dude does...
