A friend of mine is a strong headed Harley guy. He asked me why I would that kind of money to buy a Honda. I said because I really want the Honda Fury. Then he said, well, you'll never have any problems with a Honda though. And I said, yeah for that reason as well
I own the Blue 2012, truly a beautiful bike and rides smooth, as far as the comments about a fuel gauge, I always set my trip when I fuel up and I know I can go a hundred miles before thinking of refueling, and yes my bike gets the double take almost every time I go riding, it’s head turner. Excellent video thanks for sharing
the trip is the most common way to keep track of gas... nothing better then knowing your own machine! n yes- these things get lots of love where ever you go with it!
Just bought a Fury from my Stepdad, only has 2k miles for $3,500...thank you much for this break down I’m really excited to get it on the road thank you
Hadnt owned a bike since I sold my 97 shadow in 02. On a whim I took a different way home from work in Feb 2019. Dont know why but I pulled into a dealership...buying a bike had not been on my mind. There on a flatbed truck still in its shipping crate was a Fury. A voice in my head spoke to me..'its here for you." By the time I left I had insurance and signed on dotted line. No test ride.It was a Honda...nuf said. Picked it up next afternoon. 5 days later it was back at dealer for its break in miles service check!!! No mods other than mini boards and risers. 20months and 8400 miles later Im still smitten. FURY ON!!!
So, how does the bike handle curvy roads at speed? Is it neutral when cornering, or do you have to put pressure on the inside grip to keep it from flopping over?
@@Dave-sw2dm anything with a wide tire doesn’t like Corning , my opinion you can learn the 200 wide stock tire over time , I crashed twice tryna be fast so don’t expect quick input at high speed , counter steering at low speeds vs learning harder the frame only sits 4inch from the ground it’s not an easy bike .
I'm currently investing in a 2017 Fury with 1725mi on it all stock and felt nice. I have rode a couple bikes with a "chopper style" and this one I didnt have to straddle it like a horse and it didnt pull me like the breakout I test rode. This would be my first owned bike and am looking forward to owning it
These are SO cool and in real life even better. When you sit on one it's a whole new world. One of the many alluring looks is the huge gaping hole in front of the motor because it just looks so custom like you removed something.
Bought this as my first bike in April!!! it was a 2017 with 7 miles on it. I’m 6’4” and about 255-260 and sit comfortably on it even with the stock seat. People always compliment it and think it’s a custom bike. Power is good but definitely looking to get an aftermarket exhaust for better performance and a louder sound!
I have a 2016. I couldn’t stand the stock sound, I needed louder. I simply removed the muffler and then slipped some custom chrome tips on. It sounds amazing.
Love my Fury. First thing I did was put on a C&C sport tour seat, Hard Krome 2 into 1 sideburner exhaust, and a Ginz choppers scorpion sissy bar. Next will be aftermarket controls, mirrors, and a side mount for the plate. Beautiful machine
I bought a 2019 leftover in blue with ABS brakes for $9,500 last June what an awesome bike the pipes are going on this year trying to decide what to get...
I've got a 2016 Fury and while I do like the ride and feel, there is one design flaw in this bike if you ride in the rain like I do. I commute to work on mine so I ride rain or shine. While the usual inconvenience of slippery roads, spray from cars and trucks around you, and reduced visibility since there are no windshield wipers on my helmet are always present, the real problem is the starter. On this engine, it is mounted in the front just behind the radiator and right where the front wheel throws up a rooster tail of water. The original starter seized up completely after about 3 years. And now in 2022, the new starter is struggling again. I imagine a few more wet rides and I''ll be changing it again. This is definitely a sunny day kind of bike.
I bought my fury new in 2016 .great bike .even some harley guys like it but some harley guys are just basic harley guys .I've had Harleys and I much prefer my rice grinder .it's dependable, looks great and best of all , NO OIL LEAKS!!!!!😂🤣

Because just like stock Harleys they are built for legal road use. Honda doesn't openly invite you to grenade your engine with a compression kit like harley does. Source, harley family. Whole families been riding Harleys since the 50s. Most are now on Hondas and victories. Most of my uncles switched over to victory in the twin cam era. Some of my cousins are on their second and third milwaukee 8. The only harley that has held up has been the sporters. I adore the softail standard. I like that I can build the engine up to 100hp for a couple grand before I ever even ride it. You know how many times my uncles had to fix their Harleys on the side of a road going to Texas and California from Chicago? My uncle blew up a road king, bought a shadow 1100 and did the same trip that killed his road king. No issues what so ever. I've been all over on my shadow 750 next to twin cams m8s and freedom 106s. My spiced up 750 keeps up just fine. Realistically your going to cruise at 80 mph with the occasional burst of 100 and your gonna laugh and shake and slow right on back down. I highly doubt your THAT guy that can pin his throttle at 130 through everything. In fact I bet your not that guy. I bet my bike. Get on a raider, stay in fifth and don't lug. You're either gonna smear the road or smear your britches. A 1300 fury doing 120 nice and smooth with no worries of breakdowns and parts galore is more than enough bike for 99 percent of riders. Going back to down a smaller cc bike from my 1340 was the best thing that ever happened to my riding ability. I went from being a average big twin rider in my group to throwing my cruiser around like a crotch rocket with the throttle pinned through rush hour traffic. I can with with speed way better than them. No replacement for displacement my ass. If you can't have fun with that bike you need to learn how to ride better.
I own a 2012 with many aftermarket mods and absolutely love it. It definitely turns a lot of heads. My only gripe would be it needs a bigger engine and a 6th gear. 1300 is ok and all, but something along a 1500 or so would be nice, along with that extra gear. LEDs would be nice too, as well as a slightly larger gas tank. Still... it's a great bike that's extremely easy to handle.
Got my 2012 on the way, picked it up for under $6k with low miles. Already dropped 3k in parts on it and the parts got here before the bike! lol! Should have it this week, i'm sure there will be lots of swearing in the garage this weekend installing everything. Great bike!

Only issue he had with the Fury was with a fuel pump (known issue, recall) he's added on a windshield/deflectors/different seat/bags. the guy is a hardcore rider and racks up the miles. I have a VTX for a number of years now and man what a machine same engine as the Fury but it's not "computer limited " I don't like that feature at all I don't go 100 but I don't want anything limiting my speed or telling me I have to wear a helmet either! The gas mileage sounds great they never tell you what the mpg's are that's important to me they never do what the dealership tells you they will but with open road and flat ground you would be surprised. Thanks for the great review I'm seriously looking this thing over and over.
That's funny - raving about 57 HP and 79 torque. That's shamefull to take that engine and drain the HP and torque down like that. I have a VTX 1300 - same engine but this beast from factory has 74 HP and 90 torue. I'll take the Fury in a race any time!!
So true..love my blue 2012 fury..reliable. bought used..previous owner took off mufflers and added a tuner..my only dislike is it's too loud ..if it pops on deceleration it's to loud..I need to add a better exhaust..I hear that a 2 into 1 exhaust works great on bigger v twins?? Please comment on exhaust for fury.
These are supposed to be electronically limited to 99 but there is a flash to get past that. My 2012 fxdwg hits 120 way too easy. No need to go faster imo
Terrible that it has that massive hole in the engine compartment where a much larger engine would easily fit. Like an 1800cc perhaps would be more suitable. Plus I couldn't do that computer limitation at 99 mph. I need my cruiser to do 130+ mph otherwise I'm not satisfied
My first bike. It has bullet proof reliability and it does ride nice but there's a few things I just couldn't get over : 1. Scraping pegs is like a part time job on these. 2. No fuel gauge, just a low level warning light. 3. No tachometer 4. No gear indicator. 5. No ABS (on mine). 6. Badly needs a 6th gear. 7. Tends to drain the battery.
I don't understand why Honda didn't use a "softail" rear suspension instead of a visible swing-arm. It would have made the back of the bike much better looking.
It's a good looking bike but way too plastic-ey. The motor covers are all plastic, the side covers are plastic, and that speedometer is God awful looking. They should put the 1800 motor in it, use METAL casings, and replace that ugly ass speedometer and they'd have something REALLY special.
“Less evolved bikes like a Harley or Indian…” i sold my fury so fast after getting on a new Harley. After owning 14 bikes and riding countless others I truly love my Harley. 47,000 miles on my street glide with only oil changes, brakes and new tires. Love Honda but you’re full of BS if you think this trash is better than any Harley. Stop lying as far as other bikes. Harleys haven’t leaked oil since the AMF 70s but that was last week for you. Same torque as a CRB? 😂 bro your drugs are laced with some wack shit.
Indian Scout Dynos (at the wheel) 80hp. and it weighs in at 100 pounds lighter, and has a 6 speed. No way can this Fury keep up in the twisties or a stoplight Gran Prix. Fury Is beautiful for an around town bar hopper, but not a freeway cruiser. Adam Waheed from Motorcyclist Magazine liked the spirit of the bike, but noted how buzzy it was on the freeway.
I know what your talking about man the double takes are always funny lol. I ride a 2019 fury an I get comments all the time riding with my Harley buddies. People are like wow I love your bike and then they cant believe it’s a Honda. I’ve done some add-ons to mine I’ve got the Full cobra swept pipes. Sounds as good and loud as my Harley buddies. They joke and call it my hondarley. Oh and for all of the people out there that may be looking for a bag solution like I was look no further then accessoriesinternational.com and get the Hepco & Becker C Bow mounting system. Works with all Hepco and Becker C Bow mounting bags. Best part is you can take them on and off anytime with the turn of a key. Yep I spent months on the search for a saddle bag solution so I didn’t have to carry a backpack until I found these. Trust me you’ll be thankful you read this if your like me. 😉

This bike used to be called Stateline, and then Sabre. When did they change it to Fury?
The Fury is very similar to the interstate. I had that bike. They are a bullet proof bike. And extremely good quality.
I never had any issues with it.
I do own a Harley ultra limited. It is more practical for what I do. But overall it is not as bullet proof as the Honda. As well as far more expensive.

It’s really just a Japanese catalog chopper themed cruiser. Yeah it’s reliable but the heart of owning choppers is really in building it yourself
Ah shaddup
I love my harley, but I would also love to have a fury, too
We just bought 2010 sabre 11000 miles love the bike but the seat sucks
Is it true it can go up to 150mph? that's crazy for a vtwin chopper since harleys are onlt like 110 or something.
These are supposed to be electronically limited to 99 but there is a flash to get past that.
My 2012 fxdwg hits 120 way too easy. No need to go faster imo
No way in hell this bike can do 150 unless it gets scooped up by a tornado...
Hi matt it is Jaclyn how are you doing
Yea I like the fact it’s not hd I like hd had a few but kinda tired of hd and the crap they do to the customer
The right doesn't always look the same as the left
There are a lot of positives about the Fury, but with only 80 cubes and a 5 speed, it ain't coming for jack.
My first bike. It has bullet proof reliability and it does ride nice but there's a few things I just couldn't get over :
1. Scraping pegs is like a part time job on these.
2. No fuel gauge, just a low level warning light.
3. No tachometer
4. No gear indicator.
5. No ABS (on mine).
6. Badly needs a 6th gear.
7. Tends to drain the battery.
Love this bike
Do you get paid for these videos? I mean by Honda for example
So. Is that one for sale?
everything is for sale!!!
Matty Motorcycle I figured that, but I couldn’t find a link to any website.
The license plate hanging at the bottom of the rear fenders sucks also the style of the fender doesn't flow with the bike
I don't understand why Honda didn't use a "softail" rear suspension instead of a visible swing-arm. It would have made the back of the bike much better looking.
The whole rear of the bike is awful looking.
Got one I'm triking it
Best review 👌
What a beasttt😱😱😱❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥
thunder mountain spitfire is a better looking chopper imo, and they hid all the wires too..
Just imagine the 1800 in it
Is being 6’5 too tall for this motorcycle?
Asking for a friend.
Im 6'5 myself and you will fit perfect on it!
Thanks DeathStroke 98
I'm 6'7", wondering that as well..
Sorry bud, but the Yamaha raider 1900 has it totally beaten performance wise.
It's a good looking bike but way too plastic-ey. The motor covers are all plastic, the side covers are plastic, and that speedometer is God awful looking. They should put the 1800 motor in it, use METAL casings, and replace that ugly ass speedometer and they'd have something REALLY special.
Awesome
So this bikes coming for Harley lol well its been coming for 10 years now and I still haven't seen it... lol
"Whatch out harley and Indian, this thing is coming for you!"
Dude, it's been out for over a decade.
It's just speech dude, don't get your panties in a wad.
57 horse power is what kills it sales.
😂 bro your drugs are laced with some wack shit.
sound better then...hardchopper harley!
Nope. Yamaha Stryker, and Raider.
impressed,,,
Honda should have built this 20 years ago. 😢
This guy just screams "Used Car Salesman".
So true 😅
Indian Scout Dynos (at the wheel) 80hp. and it weighs in at 100 pounds lighter, and has a 6 speed. No way can this Fury keep up in the twisties or a stoplight Gran Prix. Fury Is beautiful for an around town bar hopper, but not a freeway cruiser. Adam Waheed from Motorcyclist Magazine liked the spirit of the bike, but noted how buzzy it was on the freeway.
They have even more torque than my suzuki vzr 1800. wow
No it is isnt
They finally made one that sounds like a Harley. Wow.
You don't own a Harley. It sounds nothing like a Harley.
@@714thegooch my broken washing machine sounds pretty close 👍🏼
Is there a reason Honda killed this? Just bad marketing?
This isn't beating even a 20yo cbr off the line.....
This counts for any cruiser or any brand. Even a CBR 400 can outrun a victory scout.
"..were gonna talk about the lllllooooooooooks"
The rear end of that bike is totally fugly though…and it idles like a gocart motor.
