I've done it twice and it cost me 9011 thousand credits to register it. So Sally and then isn't that profitable unless it's a really good ship. Otherwise you'll just make maybe two thousand three thousand credits for the work you do it's not always really worth it. But you're doing it to keep it since you can't have so many shifts then I totally recommend it cuz it's nice to have variety!
You can totally take a ship with less cargo space. It'll just "overstuff" and you can pull from it but not out anything back in or pick up things in space. Say you have 1500kg of cargo and take a ship that only has 200kg of hold space, it'll read 1500/200. You don't lose anything.
Can you hijack grounded shit, when landing with enemy crew like pirats?
Yes you can, I just stole a cargo ship that was at a science facility, no one came after me.
Registered the ship for an ammount of creds and did a rebuild of that ship
@@M3thusalhem where you've found that science facility? I didn't found any shit with open door, all had closed :(
QUESTION: Cargo Transfer occurs when you bord a ship and jump (making it your new home ship) So, if you have a larger crew and more cargo than the ship your picking up - what happens them and your cargo?
I just checked my cargo on my stolen ship after reading this and it shows 271/200. as for crew, they'll probably just stand around somewhere in the ship I guess. seems like a developer issue.
@@meechieboy4902 Interesting. I suppose they had to just force it to fit since they don't give you any choice about how to deal with it. Not sure I trust it.
Some have said that any missing people will show up if you jump back to the Lodge.
@@vincentkeith5259 The cargo transfers to the new "Home Ship," exceeding the new ship's capacity if needed. Crew will also transfer, though if they ever don't have an assignment they will just go to their "Home" location. For members of Constellation this usually means The Lodge. For other crew it might be some random spaceport such as Cydonia on Mars. If you open the character menu ("Tab" on PC) and select the ship sub menu in the bottom left you can then open the Crew menu ("C" on PC) and assign or unassign crew, as well as see where each crew member currently is located.
Just dont keep your weapons and items on the weaon racks or in cases. I lose a ton of Legendary gear with no way of recovering...so pissed at this bug @@vincentkeith5259
Am I doing the bounty’s or the missions to get the star eagle??
You have to join and do all the questline for the rangers. Its the final reward.
Can you have some of your crew board the other ship and control it?
After stealing a ship, can I take it apart and use his parts in another ship?
I see more value in that, than in just selling it, but I don't know if its possible.
No
i cant seem to get the dead bodies of the ship i took... ??? help??
great video
So do all that spend 11,000 to register and then sell for a profit of only 2k..... they really should reduce the price to like 4 or 5 k for registry to make it worth while
How do you get around getting ur stolen ship scanned and attacked ?
This doesn't work for me after disabling the engines I never get the on screen prompt to dock. I have looked at the video several times and it never shows an on screen prompt to dock. Is there something else you have to do beside destroy the engines and exit targeting to get the board option?? I literally get so close the ships are touching and still no board option ever pops up on the screen.
Sometimes you gotta press E or activate the scanner to get the prompt to show up. Unfortunately it’s kind of unreliable.
I finally figured it out I didn't realize you had to hold down R instead of just tapping it@@MrBones105
Once you get within 500m the option will show up.
One thing you might want to add to the video is who is going to fly the ship you arrived in to do your pirating with. No one ever says what happens to the ship you arrived in. EVER. Say it even if it is newbie and obvious. Please.
I stole a va ruun ship, took it to port and the register but is gray. It won’t allow me to register. It doesn’t even prompt me. I can’t use the cargo on the ship as it is locked. Is there a skill I need? Pls HELP!!!
I just stole some random settlers ship but now I can’t grav jump to another system, so I’m basically stuck. Can anyone explain what I’m supposed to do or why this is happening? I can’t even get back in my home ship because I flew to a nearby moon and it disappeared. I’m thinking my game is broken
Take the bars from lasers or something & put them on the gravity engine
@@patientmental875 didn’t work :( send help please I’m stuck out here Huston
@@shawnkemp6775Put it on the engine
This can definitely happen if you jump to a remote distant star and steal a ship that can't jump far enough to get back. I think a few of these stars have cities you can land at to swap your ship at, but otherwise you're gonna have to reload
You cant steal the ships on the main quest missions, right?
Once I got a "you can't sit in the pilot seat, you don't own the ship" and another time the main area of the ship didn't access the pilot seats at all.
So you can only steal random encounter ships?
You need the pilot skill I believe
@@thefalloutphoenix And the Pilot Skill has to be high enough for the ship class
What happened to your old ship? is it just left flying in space
It automatically gets returned to your owned ships section
it is confusing. you register a stolen ship. so now you have 2 ships, right? and how do you make one the primary ship? and how many can you register? does each ship have its own cargo? or are they carrying the same loot you put in the other ship cargo? i assume you can't assign crew to multiple ship and they'll just go where you go. can you make profit selling stolen ships, instead of registering them or??
Press H on docking ship , how many?? Dunno so far i have 6ship
How do I remove the dead enemies after stealing the ship?
Warp
I dont Rob and kill innocent people in the game world. I just have to save up enough credits to buy my self a better ship
lol I think barret disliked that lol
Anyone try out the science outpost method?
If only the ships didnt inmediately explode after just hitting the engines
How to prevent getting a bounty?
Damn it, none of these videos are telling me what i want to know. Why can't i hijack ships off the ground? These mercs and bounty hunters keep landing them, i can get inside them, but the game won't let me take them. Why? This has been bugging me for a week now.
It's more than likely you missed killing someone. I'm unsure if the bounty hunter ships can be taken on the ground but you can defo get them in space lol
So you pay 90% of value... to register... So if you dont register and switch back to a registered ship then does this vanish for your use as such since you not register it...
From my understanding you just cant modify it till you registered it
@@s8theninjawarrior916 So I can have lots of them in storage as such just not able to modify ... so honestly if I steal a ship not too bothered about modding it myself will keep as is - so I be good to go :)
Your modified frontier looks duuuumb lol
Buying ships that's great
Selling ships is disturbing I spent over 100,000 & they only want 18,000 plus if I wanted to sell
sorry but no, technically you did NOT get the ship for free, you got it for the registration price, which is 80-85% of the ship value, 11k in your case
everytime i try to do this i destroy the ship even tho the engines arent even down
If the game is on too low difficulty, the ship takes way too much damage before you can board.
Use EM weapons. Its not laser or balistic but called em. Mostly named suppressor
Does very very low damage to hull and shield but heck it destroys modules so fast lol.
What is the key on Xbox?
Thanks a lot !
Your frontier looks like a camel
This does not work .I've come across great many ships whether it be in space or while I'm on the planet doing missions or doing surveys sometimes it's a ship landing site other times I just come across it already there with no one there or sometimes there's a captain or a crew I've taken them all out and I've never gotten an option to take the ship no matter what I do there's no Captain's key there's no sitting in the seat cuz it's not interactable nothing so far I've yet to ever been able to take over any ship ever. Has anyone here that knows why?
Probably don't have necessary piloting skill(?)
@miqs1551 I captured one & killed everyone didn't have the skill so destroyed the ship lol now I cannot get one at all
That's weird. I've been able to take most ships I've come across. I think 1 point into piloting should help. Though I recommend more so you can upgrade ships' reactors and add higher tier weapons/shields etc.
i got the mantis quest one it's total shit, being killed instantly by 2-3 ships its shields are a joke. was helping farmer fred repair satalites and spacers just melt me.. looking at perk tree i need like 10+ levels to unlock the abilitys to do something about it.
try set game on very easy for that fight.... i had that with the crimson fleet quest... otherwise that quest would have been blocked for me... but i dont wanted to rank up first.... this is my rpg.... after the fight i set it back to hard ^^
@@Shywer yea im on the crimson fleet one too also had to leave that over the 1 shot. but thats expected to be hard
Really? I heard mantis is one of the best early game ships it’s what I was set on going to get now but wanted to learn how to add ships to your ship list. Guess I’ll find out for myself now
@@DavyDave1313 did some battles with it, just with 2 ships not 10+ and it did the job..
@@M3thusalhem almost immediately after I posted my comment, an ecliptic bayonet ship landed and I took it over. It’s def much more powerful I think ima stick with this one for a whole
if i steal a ship i have to leave my old ship in space do you lose the ship you levt behind or can you keep it
You keep your ship. It will be there when you go to a shipyard.
@@enigmasoup7381 ok thank you
Does not work.
Steals ship for "free", takes it to station, registers ship for 11k, ships value is 13k.....how is this free?
Can u steal grandmas ship??
How dare you!! Stealing is illegal.. Im in shock on how you tell people to steal...
It's dificult trying to get the engine offline, I always end up completely destroying the ship
He tells you on the video how to disable engines. Lasers will destroy their shield. Then use any other type of damage other than lasers on the engine. Keep an eye on their engine bar, once depleted you can stop and just get close to board.
If you still keep destroying the ship, then that ship is a low level compared to you, so try fighting in higher tier areas.
Not really that helpful on how to buy a ship
Games like black flag 😂
10+ ships attack me when I try
You don't need expensive ships. You just fast travel everywhere
Game is dump so annoying have to grind so much
