Learn how to create your own lightweight and stylish car door using carbon fiber and 3D printing technology. In this video, we show some of the steps we take to design and fabricate a custom carbon fiber 240z door that's both strong and sleek. We start off with a 3D-printed door skin and show you the process of how we convert it to a carbon fiber door skin for the electric 240z.

#SEMA2023 Авто/Мото
These videos have been my favorite thing to watch over the last 2 weeks. Really appreciate the music selection and variety, great job Xavier.
Guess my bedtime is pushed about 25 minutes and 28 seconds later than originally planned. Not at all complaining though😍
Curious what time zone you're in
sleep is for the weak we are vampires\werewolves at all times 😂
Somewhere in Europe probably
@@StreetBandito vampire gang🙏🏽🙏🏽
@@Daniel-iq5oo correct, hangin out over in Norway, Central European time zone is the term I believe🇳🇴
Yall are absolutely killin it lately, Its always amazing to see such beautiful work get done and such sick original concepts made real. Thank you for sharing all this, you guys rock.
100% would love to see wind tunnel testing.Would be great for the design team to get some recognition for their work . Looks mint and love the series 👌🏻
The amount of skill this takes is crazy always exciting to see a new upload
years of trial and error haha
you guys taking this to sema? even if its unfinished people would be interested and it would garner more interest for the channel and possible sponsors. @@StreetBandito
watching still, seen you talking about sema lol nvm then :D
This is easily my favorite project on YT rn.
I love that you guys just release videos whenever
So cool to see this process. I never realised how much work goes into developing body panels at this level
yea it’s quite the challenge lol
@@StreetBandito I don't think I'm in a hurry to do it myself honestly, but I'd watch you guys do it for hours
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿Tim going hard on this one. Hell even X was laying down some Carbon fiber 💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿 Bandito type shit 🔥🔥🔥
you guys are artists, lovely. Love from Spain 🖤
Love your content. Just bought a couple of shirts to help out the Sema fund. Hope I get a chance to meet you guys there! Can't wait to see this thing!
ayeeee thank you 🤘🏽. loving the support.
This is art Tim - phenomenal work. The blend of skills and know-how. And kudos to you X for documenting and editing!
lenjamin!!!!! much appreciated homie 🤙🏽
Call me stupid, but I've never really focused on the videography and editing before. It's great - entertaining, straight to the tech, great commentary. Congrats.
Xavier doesn't get enough credit.
Absolutely love your work. The carbon work is coming together sooo well. Looks amazing.
Thanks a bunch!
dude ive been ur biggest fan for like a year now! welcome to my new account!
Beautiful work Tim! Cheers, Doug
Finally! I love this build!

This project and this car and your process is AMAZING and baffling. Heck of a car.
+1 for the work, music and how it flows. Xavier best.
Xavier getting his hands dirty as well during this process is awesome man, the whole team puttin in work no matter their specialty. This is gonna be so huge, it's gonna break SEMA! Good luck!!!
lol getting hands dirty “on camera” im more of a behind the scenes work type of guy 😂
Give yourself credit, without you we wouldn't see all this work getting done, and with this awesome quality!@@StreetBandito
The 501ᵉ like comes to you from France 🤘🤩🤘
Feels like he's talking for about two months that are two weeks left until sema haha
Loving the build, keep it up
every week is 2 weeks 😂
I like the drilling for the buttons... You all do a lot that people are wondering like "what the hell is keeping you from doing it now?" lol sounds stupid but I LOVE the details you put into your videos... Amor Hermanos!
Another fantastic episode, finding myself getting just as excited about the score of the episode as much as the great car content. Great work Xavier!!!
Glad you enjoyed it 🫡
This has been my favorite series on RUclips lately! You guys are absolutely killing it!
I hope you guys bring the Z to a few car shows in Vegas after SEMA
The music is funky, I dig it. Sounds like something they'd play on Big Sonic Chill
Very nice, now that you've done the marathon, all that left is left is the multiple sprint sessions. 😃
thanks for teaching me about stabilized carbon fabric. i do play around with it a bit.
Happy to help! you’ll be addicted just a warning lol
MASTER CRAFTSMEN!!!
See you in Vegas!
I bought a set of those foam Ultra Blocks about 15 years ago and still use them to this day. Love them. P.S. You can tell how good a body man is by how much bondo is on the back of the spreader. The better the person, the less there will be.
this won best sema build im saying it now!
manifest it! 🖤
Absolutely love the rockers, looks so good
Loving the content. This is kind of what I had in my head for my 76 celica.. seeing the time and skill it takes to achieve this I know what I'm lacking. Both lol. Can't wait to see this done
my lort!!! yall.making literal dreams into carbon
Absolutely amazing to watch & see!
ayeee its always an honor if youre tuned in haha
Honestly every video i just keep getting impressed at how good your work is. The skill displayed here deserves millions of views!
It’s coming, a formula has finally started sticking.
It’s only a matter of time now.
I disagree. The video content creation skill level is about 1% of the skill level in the creation of the vehicle.
@@1loumellor51 I think you misinterpreted that my guy.
You Guys make impossible seem easy! Amazing work!!!!! 💯
Hats off to you guys. Doing this process myself with my 350z so I can feel your pain behind the smile. Such a long process thats so hard to edit into a 25minute video. The car looks insane. 😍
Great work dude !!!
Thanks a lot!
love the build guys looks sick. did I just see a N64 in the background! sweet
I just found this channel and this is so cool.
ayee welcome to the community!
Cant believe ive just discovered this! Ive been making the odd car part using pla plug, glass mould and carbon piece. Ran into so many of the problems you have but its great to see another perspective on solving these things.
Keep up the work, bright future ahead💪. Ps if you’re wanting it to drive as well as it looks i’d love to help out with the setup😉
I bought the stabilized carbon and just from looking at it I can see why you like it so much..can’t wait till try it this weekend
That's amazing.
i thot he was gunna sturdy dance on the side skirt lol
For wind tunnel work you want to talk to @ajhartmanaero , he's not too far away from you (NJ) and helps organize wind tunnel runs. He does a lot of aero development on his own cars and carbon work. Would be great to see you guys work on some functional aero bits together.
will check him out. thanks for the recommendation.
Heads off to your quality carbon work!! It's impressive! 💪
I build carbon parts and panels for my race motorbike and I can only dream of achieving your level!!
Rest of the build is great too.
I can't wait to see this car at Sema,
Очень красиво и качественно парни 👍🏾 удачи на SEMA 🎊 🎉
calmest crunch time ever. u boys are holdin it down
got to stay calm until it’s crunch hour 😂
This looks amazing!
still wanna argue that this front deserves headlights from a cooper.. homage to the original front while still keeping modern proportions on fleek.
Killer work guys, completely forgot y’all had merch but I just ordered a tshirt. Thanks for all the entertainment
These episodes are amazing! Love the in depth explanations. I take a lot of inspiration and steal some techniques from you guys in developing my carbon surfboards.
I needa win the lottery so I can buy this kit lol
She looks good for sure
Good luck guys hope it all pans out till then can't wait to see it (mostly) done!!
Amazing progress
It should have been called LegaZ :D Missed opportunity right there :D
Absolute perfection 👌 well done tim, and cinematografi is as allways work of art Xavier🙏
Love the intensity of the story of this build.
Would love to see some of these things actually come to fruition
The amount of craftsmanship in this project is simply amazing... Kudos 😎
Excellence of work and story capture!
Absolute favourite car project to watch, such a beautiful design executed incredibly well! Shots and editing are on point too, just so good
I wish I could go and see it in person 😭
Man really starting to see the vision come to life here and it is nothing short of epic!!! great work gents.
love your work guys!
ayee appreciate the love!
incredible work ethic and talent
So.... why not pour foam fill the doors to add rigidity and impact strength. Its done with Rally cars.
Love the videos❤
Please bond the side skirt panels on! Will be a much cleaner finish ❤️ love the content as always
Where there’s a will, there’s a way!
Will, will approve of this message lol
I approve of this message
This car is so fricken sweet..11/10
You can add fiber glass resin without the hardener to your bondo to make icing or glazing putty 😊
Wind tunnel testing would be interesting.
Freaking sweet...great job too...
Another Level
25:06 last 20% takes 80% of the time. It's the little things that sink you at the tail end of a project, especially when you start out and you don't know to manage your time. Man those days are always rough when you look back. :))
This build is so dope... It's amazing that a couple of guys with some cardboard yoghurt containers, a sketchy swivel chair, and a hammer with spike have dialled in a process to for making 3D printed production looking carbon panels on the cheap. I absolutely love the forethought that has gone into this; you must feel good about thinking things through after watching what's happening with the BifB Mustang 😅 I would *love* to see how this does in a wind tunnel too; I've always wondered whether a smart-guy-with-a-laptop-and-a-garage could design truly aerodynamic panels without insane math or a wind tunnel it... The fact that a Mercedes A-class has almost half the drag coefficient of a Ferrari 250 GTO make me think maybe no, but you guys are pretty good at working smarter not harder to get results...
Also: You guys are crushing it with the music and chill vibe; when I ask if I she wants to watch a car video she always asks "Is it one of the annoying guys?" and I tell her "It's the Datsun guy" 😂 You're the only car channel she'll watch with me
Man I really hope you guys do some dope custom sequencial taillights, this car is sick
coming soon 🤭
This car is going to be so insane. Need to get some of that merch, looks clean
Looking so good
Thank you 🤙🏽
Frickin genius right here, seriously amazing work ❤
I'll give this to you guy's because the other jokers passed on it. It would be an honor if you dubbed this ride the "Electricit-Z".
What do'ya think???
Loving the everything y'all do Street Bandito! STAY UP!
Omfg sooo much awesome Banditos content lately!!!
More to come! lol
Ph.D in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering here. I could trade some CFD for a carbon 240Z 🤣. In all seriousness, though, fantastic build!
Sooo close!!!!
I may be completely wrong, but the point of the lower tray in F1 is to keep higher pressure (slower air) on the top side to give downforce. By feeding air underneath near the rear, you are actually giving it lift. (Getting ready to be shot down in flames). Loving the build series, cant wait for the finished car.
That's what I thought too.
Low pressure in the underside of a surface is what makes down force, but the reason the f1 cars has those fins towards the rear wheel is to seal the floor with vortices
Well more the like difference in high and low pressure is what makes downforce
Wanted to make sure I understand. You used the original doors + mod shape to make the plug for the mold in fiberglass and then made a new carbon fiber door. Very interesting!
Here we go again. Good to see another one
lmao (inserts GTA CJ Gif)
Awesome work 🤘🏻
🤔 what happened to the no hairs. need you locked in on the signature comment lol.
@@StreetBandito I did throw a nohairs up after watching the video 😆
Could you make a video on the cost or a community post of carbon fiber cost(rols/lenth), role cage, power plant, suspension and breaks... and any other not for seen thing
great work, keep it up guys! i‘m really enjoying the frequent uploads the last few weeks!
would have loved to see the molds for the sideskirts, are u going t o reinforce it from the bottom?
Where ever the boosted boys went for the wind tunnel testing you should go there
You should run a piece of wood just like you did in the mold underneath the side skirt, bond the skirt to that and then bolt that in most race cars use wood or you could use a thick sheet of aluminum. I would keep any bolts hidden.
