following you guys since day one. you can be proud of your progress. i still really dig the part how you give zero effs about how the shop looks and channel all that chaos into super nice projects! -a german fan
Soooo freaking awesome!!! I sooo love this- absolutely brilliant masterpieces come out of here!!! Can you guys do carbon roofs for any car? Take requests?
99% sure I saw this thing and met you in rofo parking lot in Baltimore a couple weeks back. Then this vid is recommended to me. Thing is sick in person!
Great work! I'm seriously considering doing some DIY carbon projects on my channel and 996. Question, how do you keep your work area clean when laying down carbon? Isn't there a concern of contaminating your work?
@Street Bandito how is the structural integrity affected by replacing the roof with CF? Is it strong enough to keep the strength up top with little to no flex or is the chassis strong enough to allow for a lightweight piece to be put in place of the original roof? Nice work!
Shrinky Dinks were these plastic novelties from the '80s that you got in bags of potato chips. You color them in, then put them in the oven and they shrunk to a mini version that you could put on a keychain or whatever.
What a masterpiece brooo! Is it possible to do that same thing but with infusion but with the bag in just one side instead of that envelop that u have done?
I'd totally rock the shit out of in a t shirt, it would be a stressed out Tim cartoon character supergluing the hairs in a paintbrush😅😅@@StreetBandito
Would you do a video on how you designed the 280 z parts what software You used to get it to the point you could 3d print How you did it I am not doing a 280 I have a idea no one has done it’s sick
Are you guys hiring? BMW tech and Fabricator for 10+ years and AutoCAD, sketchup and all sorts of crazy skills I've picked up over the years. I was also on Forged in Fire!
I mean, anything that Tim makes in carbon looks dope, but I don't get why you're taking the sun roof off, for a street bound car. Could've replaced the panels for carbon ones while retaining the sun roof mechanism operational. That is unless you just wanted to not have one, I just thought about this possibility while writing this comment kekw
All of the carbon you used is “biaxial”, all of it… the stuff you put on the bottom of the roof was a plain weave, spread tow. If you’re going to pretend to know what you’re talking about it would probably help to at least know the correct terms for the things you’re trying to tell people you know.
Anything that guy touches he makes it into a masterpiece I swear! I really appreciate you guys documenting these projects..it’s so interesting man.
💯 🤩
This is the shit I envy! Having the balls to say I’m not paying $40k for a few parts, I’mma man up and just gunna make them myself.
following you guys since day one. you can be proud of your progress. i still really dig the part how you give zero effs about how the shop looks and channel all that chaos into super nice projects! -a german fan
All the stuff you make looks so damn clean. Much respect.
Can’t agree more SuperfasrMatt is excellent….especially the episode on adding ‘bits’ to the carbon!
Totally agree!
That ham sandwich 😂
Yay back to the OG carbon days ❤
Will with-the-knees and Wills dad with-the-shins did a great job on the shirts 👏
Insane vibes with the music this episode
The carbon roof is a nice touch. Looks good.
Thanks!
This is what I dream of doing. Working on Porsches and making carbon fiber parts. Such cool stuff.
I've recently started to work with carbon and fiberglass, it has only given me more respect for what you guys can do. Awesome work!
Beautiful execution, perfect spec. You guys do fantastic carbon work.
Editing always on point, and music selection. So good, Xavier doin the most.
I try haha
Petition for you guys to make a replica of the garbino lip from Japan for that ZHP! Industry garage would crush it!
Another one... (Thumbs up before pressing play. )
Talented! Very nice job. 👍
Thank you! Cheers!
This build is coming out great!!
Soooo freaking awesome!!! I sooo love this- absolutely brilliant masterpieces come out of here!!! Can you guys do carbon roofs for any car? Take requests?
I had that same 3d printed charger in my boxster. It worked pretty well.
Awesome! and the editing is so smooth !
Amazing upgrades!!
Carbon roll bar bar 😊
Following this.
what a fricking sick build. I would not mind exposed fibre frankeinsteining it but the results are insane...
99% sure I saw this thing and met you in rofo parking lot in Baltimore a couple weeks back. Then this vid is recommended to me. Thing is sick in person!
Great build series guys
@ 4:04 ----> An oversized lip/duckbill would've been the move... 💯 Like Singer or Gunther Werks.

the checkered carbon blocks on the outside would have been epic looking as well!

Tim, do you have a more in depth video that you show the process of using the nomex core material?
9:03 is such a vibe
1:10 - Grinding carbon fiber (or any composite, for that matter) without eye PPE. The mark of a true professional.
I wonder how you determine proper layup stack for structural parts like roof? To keep it safe obviously.

Have you ever taken peel ply off in the dark? It glows at the seam where it’s separating when you rip it off.
1:18 the hair blowing and the music was perfect. 😂
lmao that shot had me dying laughing when recording
Jedi Master
I really like the background music in your videos, where do you find it / can you link a playlist?
Awesome job just disappointed that you didn’t adopt the sport classic “double bubble” 😮
What a masterpiece brooo! Is it possible to do that same thing but with infusion but with the bag in just one side instead of that envelop that u have done?
do y'all have any recommendations for how to not be super itchy doing composites?
Hay can you try coping porche and use hemp supposedly it takes 2 plies of carbonfiber to be equivilant to 1 plie of hemp
I love to work with nomex! Stiff part 💪
I have never used it 🤔
I got stiff foam for my v12 build carbon body.
NOW WE TALKING! Let’s goooooooooo
I need this rear bumper for my 996 ...

Might have to buy all your carbon panels for my 240z
I literally just got shrinky dinks to make with the kids a couple weeks ago! Real childhoods have shrinky dinks!
lmao oh lord i’m about to pick at tim even more now 😂
@@StreetBandito get Tim to make carbon fiber shrinky dinks! I’ll buy it!
That blue corvette you built was dream car material for a euro poor like me. But this is next level.
I could use some fenders and a hood for a 993 LS swap 911 if you want to whip me out a set really quick lol
Sooooo good
You guys going to do carbon roofs/rooves for GDB Imprezas?
I will be eventually
Oh, the holy algorithm, give this channel a boost.
about to do the spiritual algorithm dance to help fortify the request lol
How much you save weight from regular bumper?
Dude I’m just discovering you, holy crap man you’re on it. On it like a bonnet woooot

I didn't know i liked green cars until now.
All Hail the Algorithm 🙌
Every video is making me want a 997 more 😩…guess it’s time to list the z06🤣
Just keep the engine for the porsche
carbon Street bandits license plate covers might be cool. Like the Period Correct ones
No plates is better. We’re going for weight reduction remember? Lol
I like it!
Shoulda left the license plate box carbon. Would of flowed so nice with the trunk vents and roof.
Some day when I'm not poor I'm gonna have you make a carbon roof for my e70 x5m. I hate sunroofs.
"Tim, how many tattoos do you have now?" Tim: "yes"
What’s the weight saving?
Why is fiberglass used with carbon fiber ?
I could only wish to be in his position pick and chose what progect to do and be paid for it or atleast nothave to worry as much financially
How tall is Will ?
The rear bumper looks like the ASM 07 S2000 rear bumper
A duck bill would be on the front, a duck tail is on the rear
Makes me believe I could actually make something in carbon, which i couldn’t 😂
Will you be selling this?
everything is for sale 👌🏽

I am sad there is no ham sandwhich in your carbon weave.
I am also umh, relieved there is no ham sandwhich in the carbon.
Wanna a real challenge? Wanna make me a carbon fiber e46 removable hardtop I have a factory aluminum one. Would love to make a carbon one.

Where is the ford 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Forged carbon = Carbon OSB I can get past that
On a ladder, on a lift and wearing flip flops. 🤦
Mentions super fast Matt, but doesn’t put a full ham sandwich in the carbon roof. Unacceptable
your shop is a complete mess, clean up all the junk
RWD has nothing on Street Bandito....

Is the much extra vibration or noise from going carbon roof
same as oem so nothing different lol
