I saw him first time back in 1979 with the Kingsmen in San Antonio. He was still a teenager, but blowing that piano away! I got to lay publicly with him twice on piano duet. First time back in 1984, then again 1992 or 93. Anthony was such a HUMBLE guy. He knew God gave him the talent and to use it for the Lord’s glory. Anthony served God until his last breath. He was on stage playing when the angels took him home to heaven. I was so mighty proud of him.
Watching this January 25, 2025.....thinking how wonderful...... in all the chaos in our world right now ......I am comforted in knowing...... at 5:40 he played ........"Jesus Loves Me This I Know" ........ my favorite......Immediately at 6:40......"Holy, Holy, Holy".........And at 11:40......"We shall behold Him".................Anthony was truly anointed
ABSOLUTELY NOBODY AND I MEAN NOBODY WILL EVER BE AS GOOD AS ANTHONY BURGER. HIS GOD GIVEN TALENT IS UNMATCHED!!!!!!!!! THE GREATEST PIANO PLAYER I'VE EVER SEEN
What a gift from God,I’m so sorry that I was never able to see him live, thanks for these videos,my eyes are full of tears of joy what the lord gave us and I’m sure heaven is loving this man God bless
I’m just “ in Awe”! He was the best of the best & now home with The Lord, making those bells ring, & music beyond our comprehension!! Wow Wow Wow!!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🙌🙌🙌
It was such an amazing honor to witness Anthony in person several times. He never disappointed. One thing that was always evident in his playing was his love, praise and honor of our Lord and Savior. His story is so inspiring. He was never supposed to use his hands again after his accident, but God had a plan to show how wrong the doctors were. I was so saddened to hear of his passing not long after the last time I saw him in concert. Not taking anything away from Anthony has he was special, but we now have another very special and anointed person whose talent is definitely God given as she never had a piano teacher, Kim Collingsworth. She praises God every time she places her fingers on the keys. She is no Anthony, but no one else is. Yet at the same time, no one is a Kim Collingsworth either. Each musician has their own talents and gifts. Anthony and Kim are the two most God gifted that I have ever seen though.
Yes but he died doing exactly what he loved doing! He was doing a concert on the Dutch ship The Suiderdam when in the middle of a song he was suddenly still with his fists clenched over the piano keys! God and Jesus Christ knew him and he knew them very very well! If we could all be like him even in spirit!
I had a session with him at Trevecca College years ago. I bought 3 of his music books and still use them frequently. His music arrangements had such a distinct sound & I haven't seen any piano music to compare with it yet. People love those arrangements!
Only one near him is Kim Collingsworth. Anthony was never supposed to have use of his hands after his accident. He is a prime example of God telling the doctor’s, “Now it’s MY turn.” Kim never had a piano teacher so she is different, but is truly anointed by God as well.
The way he moved his hands and fingers after 3rd degree burns at 8 months old and numerous surgeries. God put so much talent in Anthony that he must have decided he was needed in heaven. I don't know, but God definitely had a plan.
Put him in a room with the greatest ever and the onky question is, who's second? Because we all know who the best was. Cant wait to hear how he plays over yonder.
I sat with some ladies during a Gaither Homecoming concert in Myrtle Beach once that were on the Gaither cruise where Anthony passed away on. They were attending that very concert. They told me of reports that came from others attending the same concert of a tall white misty figure that appeared right behind Anthony right after a song he was playing as a solo ended. He stood for his standing ovation from the audience, then sat back down to ready for the next song. The fish-guru them appeared behind him. Just as Anthony started playing again, the figured gently put his hand on Anthony’s left shoulder and Anthony slumped at the piano. Several members of the Signature Sound Quartet saw him slump and went to him. Finding hi=e had no pulse and wasn’t breathing, they carried him backstage and the ship medical crew came to assist. They performed CPR on him for roughly a half hour before the ship doctor called it and pronounced him dead. The concert continued during all of this, but when Bill Gaither was called backstage to be told what had happened, the music stopped and prayers went up. When Bill came back out, everyone knew by the look on his face what the answer was. The concert then turned into a praise and honor concert to honor Anthony. Many people there that evening speculated that the misty white figure that stood behind Anthony was an angel sent to take Anthony Home. The Gospel Music Industry lost a very big and important part of itself when he died. But we still have other’s carrying that torch now, like Kim Collingsworth. She is another that is very anointed by God. Her talent too is very much God given. She had no piano teacher, yet she still plays the way she does.
He is the greatest pianist and entertainer. So very talented, rest in peace ✌️ ☮️ 🕊
Thank you God for letting us listen and watch This mighty warrior of Gods
Im hypnotized by the beauty he created. He more than brought the words, the message to life.

I listen to Anthony’s music each and every night as I fall asleep… plays softly all night…. God’s gift.
He got first chair piano when he arrived in Heaven and I can't wait to see him and hear him play to angels singing when we arrive.
After to see our Savior
Amen!

Gosh his fingers could fly over those ivory’s ! Heaven is gonna be spectacular with all the music 😁
And his fingers were melded together as a toddler!! And some say there is no God?!?!
Him and my dad were friends thay would play together all the time I also love his playing 😢
the greatest and my idol. No one can play this instrument like Anthony.
Never seen a better pianist
What a gift Anthony had. He is greatly missed but we will see him again some day!
So sad that Anthony is no longer with us but his rich ministry lives on!

A remarkable talent to have beheld, truly a master at what he does

Outstanding!!! Ranks Among The Finest For Certain!!!!!
Beautiful!!!
There’s not a human in the world can you play piano like this man could he was the greatest
Well there was Liberace but I don’t believe he is in heaven unfortunately! But he was a great pianist!
@@AnnaHerrickThat is a bummer for that man. I know a pianist who can at times be close to Burger, his name is Kevin Higginbotham.
@@Jesus_paid_it_all Anyone who can play a good piano is top in my book!
I can’t think of anyone better!!!!!!

A true conveyor of The Great God Almighty Jesus Christ Our Savior through music.
He put so much energy into his playing!
Can you see the energy he puts into playing and that with heart trouble it could mean trouble.
Thanks for the compilation !

RIP Anthony, so sorry to hear 😔
Bine ai venit în viața mea stāpîne mesengers
My opinion Anthony Burger
Is the best Christian piano player
Why was he taken from us so soon?
it’s no wonder he had his heart attack on the piano … he worked sooooooo hard!!!!
