This car has unexpectedly strong presence when seen in real life. I personally preferred K900 for having better interior, but when I saw both vehicles in real life. I was amazed at the G90's imposing face. Especially the day time running lights look amazing. They have great brightness and are longer than you think.
For a new luxury brand, the new design makes it look as if Genesis is already an institution like other established luxury car brands. This is what Lexus did back in the day.
We are now in an automotive era where a Korean brand is out Cadillac - ing Cadillac, and Cadillac has become a failed cut and paste wannabe of a German brand. Good for Genesis on remembering what a luxury sedan is supposed to be. And lets hope Cadillac and Lincoln right their sedan ships. It would be a shame for the heritage of the American sedan to be lost.
Not to get too political but it has a lot to do with American leadership. When Hyundai and KiA introduced these luxury models, they quickly took all feedback (positive and negative) and updated / refined these products. GM / Ford take too long to make fixes and are prone to discontinue products not well received.

If I were to win the Lotto and were shopping for an S-class / 7-series / A8 / LS, I would certainly consider this G90 in the top trim (rear seat info tablets), because that trim comes with a DVD player in the glove box, to play my 2000+ CD collection thru.
Genesis did such a great job “updating” the G90; once they update the gauge cluster to a fully digital display, I believe it’ll take a significant portion of market share in the segment - especially with their potential reliability and concierge services. I have the 2020 G90 3.3T. It is a very sweet ride and has horsepower when needed. I like not seeing another one for weeks on end, when driving through my city...
I have a 2017 G90 5.0AWD and ordered a 2020 G90 5.0 AWD in Uyuni White with the Beige/Havana last week. The only downside is I have to wait 2 to 3 months to get mine. Distribution in the US is abysmal. The G90 is a fantastic bargain for the money. I shopped the A8, 750i and S-Class and you get 90% of the luxury in the G90 at 70% of the price. Plus exclusivity. I got my 2017 G90 in May 2017 and have only seen one other in the almost 3 years. Biggest downside is they need to speed up the standalone dealerships. Going to a Hyundai dealership to order a $79,000 car seems a bit ludicrous. Not that I have anything against Hyundai, my other car is a Kona Ironman (yes I bought a Kona Ironman!). SO here I sit anxiously awaiting my 2020 G90.
I'm a Fedex driver so I see literally hundreds if not thousands of vehicles 5 days a week. I've seen one of these once, and I stared and stared like it was a Bugatti Chiron. It made a range rover Sport beside look utterly plastic and crude. I've sat in one at an auto show as well and it's not the most cutting edge however it is somehow more contemporary and embodies a sense of well-being sitting in the back. The typical major Luxo-Limos had harsh rear seats with the exception of the G90 and Lexus LS. People need to try this car out
For such a design, I believe Genesis is showing the motor industry they can make something of class and quality. However, it needs hybrid powertrains (to avoid congestion charges for low emission designated areas), turbo diesel for Europe markets, and 4 cylinder base models even. But again for such a design, its either a like or loathe it. It may take a few more generations to match up with the Mercedes S Class. Genesis needs to price it on par with the German luxury brands for people to finally take notice. Truth is, not many are looking to upgrade their rides to this class. It isnt a cashcow per se. People who can afford it will naturally get the German brands anyways.
Incredible value, I actually love the looks of the front end but disappointed with the rear, it looks dated already and not overly cohesive, but the rest of the car is gorgeous
Did you actually use the Lexicon system? I had a 2008 Genesis and it was awesome. It had the V-8 and the lexicon. What a car. Best car stereo I have ever heard. Plenty of power and extreme luxury. 85,000 miles in 3 years. Not one uncomfortable mile. Terrible trade in value.

Once Genesis decides to focus on Marketing and Seperate dealerships their sales will grow even faster! Even with their slowly, but surely start, Infiniti couldn’t do what Genesis is doing...

If it weren't for the horizontal slice right through the middle of the headlamps, the overall exterior design would be extremely dumpy and generic. It's amazing how one design element makes all the difference.
The issue with luxury cars with "sport" mode is that you only activate it 5% of the time... When I think "luxury", I think of a smooth, comfortable reclining sofa that massages your back whilst playing a soft song to you, so you can forget about the harshness of the realities of life. G90 is the reality. Forget sporty luxury cars. - I'm not buying them.
i own a 2017 g90 its probably the best car ive ever driven and ive drive s class 750 bmw's and jaguars and believe me when i tell you this car has it all and more people get in it and are amazed unfortunately the 2020 looks gaudy with that ridiculous Genesis badge on the trunk the grill can they make it any bigger really and the rims horrible i guess its time to change brands

Regular gauge clusters are super classy and age pretty well. G90 is focusing of traditional and classier appearance. The Bugatti Chiron does not have a full digital gauge cluster/infotainment system.
When you think about it, the target demographic is definitely older gentleman or women looking for a luxurious ride. And it doesn’t hurt to have a great bargain, either.
Con about this brand is the leather quality and gas consumption. Had a g80 and was very disappointed with the quality after the lease. They really to change the inside design. This car is good for really short people, trying to get inside is irritating, too much blind spot. Uphill drive, downhill, and sloppy roads ride is terrible. Genesis need a lot of improvement

The super man style grill is really eye catching when I saw it on road. And the wheels are really unique.
