I actually enjoy his reviews, they are are funny and interesting, everyone is a critic these days though, keep up the good work, this is for entertainment, not a lecture.
It will only take them as long as it takes to get people to drive their cars. Once you drive a G90, the only reason to buy an S-Class or a 7-Series is badge-snobbery. Once you drive a G80, the only reason to buy a Lexus LS is brand loyalty.
YungGBone124127134 Lexus has a boring interior?? The New LS and LC has boring interior? Man your an odd man, of course, your taste sucks than any grandmother.
neil eastell it's an awesome car! Nothing wrong with it per se but YES German cars have history and hold their value- we'll see after Genesis 5 years residuals
I saw one of these on the road last week & it caught my eyes because I didn't know who it was until today after reading the newspaper I really like the car I was almost tempted to make a u turn out of curiosity to see who the manufacturer was.
Augustus Arthur I agree. If the Jukebox and squeaking paddle shifter are such a big deal then pull out the extra $20k and get the merc s. All the car journalists give Hyundai and Kia nitpicky reviews smh
@@sighiguess Those are non issues, for the price and all that you get with that lovely car,it's a no brainier as far as buying one, especially if your about saving money, and it's gonna definetly hold up better over the years than those German cars,I'm definitely getting me one in the near future....
I've ALWAYS loved luxury cars and I always thought about getting a LEXUS but this vehicle right here is most definitely the vehicle that I will get in the near future, for the price and all that you get,I feel it's worth it,and it'll definitely hold up a lot better over the years than those HIGH priced German cars, real good video my man....
The infotainment/radio controls and screen look almost identical to the Lexus GS. Though that isn't a bad thing. The gauges look very nice and classy too, (much nicer than the BMW 7 series gauge cluster imo.)
I know, but in sport mode the gauges look atrocious. I like a normal, clean, simple design for gauges. When digital, I prefer them to look like analogue instruments. I think Audi and Mercedes Benz do their VIPs very well.
Love you guys and these reviews. You're my first choice for car research. One point though: I would love to see the actual price of the vehicle in the description to save me the clicks of going to kbb to check it out. Thanks for the great videos!
Please Hyundai, improve the customer service experience for consumers and have knowledgeable people who work in your Service departments, Ravi Peiris M.D.
Starting at $69k but probably will give like $10k off sticker price (based on equus and k900) so I would say not bad car for $60k. For that money substitutes would be nicely equipped C300/340i or base E300/528i. Yeah I would lease it for 3years and return it without a second thought. Upscale cabin with decent power, and no need to worry about depreciation lol
Beauty Leah Nicole How so? If you consider resale value of Equus, Genesis, Azera and K900, Cadenza and Amanti I think the answer is quite clear. Genesis might have been the most successful among them thus have rather higher value, so G80 might do ok. But G90? You'd probably would regret not leasing one instead of buying one.
I love that Genesis managed to make this sedan actually genuinely nice to look at. Other cars in this class look bloated and cranky (mercedes, bmw, etc...) this one looks lean, and classy.
Great looking car but question? Where does this get serviced. I would assume most Hyundai dealerships have not seen one. I would never let a mechanic touch this car as a first. Not to mention, they would never have parts. Where do you go if you are on a trip and have issues. Not liking just going to Ford or GM.
I feel like when you were in the back seat you slammed the center console up, and when you got in and out of the car to show the iPhone problem you slammed the doors twice lol
Don't worry, Micah. I'm still a fan of you. People don't seem to understand that you're being playfully "cocky" (which is something someone actually wrote here), and KBB's reviews have a more playful tone than just being a boring, spec-listing video like some other reviewers.
Ur kidding me the G80 loaded is 55k 3.3T for the same features in a s550 ur looking at low 100k-115k. .....to get all what it comes with in a BMW u need at least 95k LS460 high 80k .....this is a great car and the price and warranty that comes with it.....not the 750 or s550 or A8 will give u more than 36-50k miles 3 yeas only the Genesis gives you 10 year 100,000 miles and 6 years 60,000 mile bumper-to-bumper and 5 years 24/7 roadside assistant and seven years unlimited miles for rust.....tell me which of the above give u that warranty???
It's nicer than the S class and looks better. And if this guy thinks the buttons for the screen are complicated, try Mercedes it BMW, which are really complicated.
Yes, and the market value shows how resale values have tanked . my 2016 3.8 Hyundai Genesis went from $51k to $28 k in 6 months with 12k miles- Look it up on on Kelly Blue lol
dont forget turbos give a different driving experience than naturally aspirated (if u want that low end torque and a lighter car) and also it costs alot less. so no waste of money here. plus they developed the 3.3T for other cars to use like G80 and kias new GT sports car (possibly even G70?:O ).
Mohankeneh wrong, if you compare a turbo 6 to a v8, low end torque isnt that much better and you can run into lag, its not lighter , twin turbo setups are heavy and more expensive then a NA v8
hmm i see what you guys are saying. But i do know for sure the more products they introduce the 3.3twin turbo into the cheaper itll cost to make them. thats their aim, in my opinion
It seems as if he goes out of his way to nit-pick the Genesis cars. He did it with the G80 (when it was still called Genesis) and he's doing it here. He finds small things to point out as "flaws".
This car is *MUCH* better (in terms of refinement) than the Lexus LS 460. The V8 in the G90 is much smoother, quieter and refined. The ride in this car, in the "comfort" setting also feels like a "magic carpet". Lexus *used to* make cars like that in the past, but they don't anymore. Case in point: my 2000 Lexus LS 400 with air suspension, which also has the "magic carpet ride" and tomb-like silence inside the cabin. The only area where Lexus LS 460 will be superior to the G90 is, reliability, durability and longevity and overall build quality. Nothing can even come close to a Toyota/Lexus in these aspects. However, I expect that the G90 will have at least "decent" reliability (much better than the German cars, for sure!)
well if I a loaded person and have the chance to choose between S class, 7 series, and this G90! I will choose the G90 the reasons as: 1- Hyundai improve their build quality 2- price difference so tempting, I can get G90 for half price of S class this save me a lot and I can invest the difference in my business and make even more money! smart Ahy?! :) 3- negative points that you can find in G90 BELEIVE me you can find in S class & 7 series!! I am Merc person and tried and owned many models starting from C class, E class, S class, and now CLS. there were always a drop in quality like squeezing noise in a part of the dashboard that I couldn't figure it out! manufacturer errors, and others. yes the drive and safety is on the top, but as I said Hyundai continuously improve their cars. thanks
When you compares this car to other cars in it class it truly is a great value. Based on Reviews the only Negative I have seen is it is a Hyundai. That needs to change. Quality of their cars is better than most America and Germany built cars.
I will never forget my friends Hyundai from 20 years ago when every time I rode in the car, something broke or fell off as we were rolling down the road. It's like trying to dress Fred Ziffel from Green Acres in a Tuxedo and convince everyone he's a sophisticated farmer or a Country Gentleman. It's still a Hyundai.
I'm a frugal Hyundai owner and wouldn't hesitate to buy another. But as someone who can afford this car, why not spend that kind of money on a used Audi S8? Yes maintenance is higher but at that price range what's a few grand here or there? I would rather own the supercar.
The paddle shift squeaking is a non-issue. Tap them, don't squeeze like you did.
That's right. No one spends any time pulling on them like that.
paulparoma .
Let the automatic transmission do its job. Silly thing those paddle shifter. They copped Formula 1 race cars
mikeceli L
This is a lovely large sedan! I'd take one of these over the many common luxury brand sedans!
I actually enjoy his reviews, they are are funny and interesting, everyone is a critic these days though, keep up the good work, this is for entertainment, not a lecture.
It's a really great car but it will take them awhile for people to get over the "Hyundai" thing.
It will only take them as long as it takes to get people to drive their cars.
Once you drive a G90, the only reason to buy an S-Class or a 7-Series is badge-snobbery.
Once you drive a G80, the only reason to buy a Lexus LS is brand loyalty.
philtrich the LS400 is a really great car but it'll take people a while to get over the whole "Toyota" thing
YungGBone124127134 Lexus has a boring interior?? The New LS and LC has boring interior? Man your an odd man, of course, your taste sucks than any grandmother.
Yes, a long while... my 2016 3.8 Hyundai Genesis went from $51k to $28 k in 6 months with 12k miles- Look it up on on Kelly Blue lol
neil eastell it's an awesome car! Nothing wrong with it per se but YES German cars have history and hold their value- we'll see after Genesis 5 years residuals
I like it, G90!!!!
I saw one of these on the road last week & it caught my eyes because I didn't know who it was until today after reading the newspaper I really like the car I was almost tempted to make a u turn out of curiosity to see who the manufacturer was.
Hyundai has come so far
LMFAO.... what do you know..... Washed a lot of them, right ?????
stop stalking me big bitch, 7 months going on 8 months now is just insane, you have some serious issues
justin bouche really? That's horrible
ugh, i am so sick of him stalking me. people actually think i am him on a different account now
Now that you said that.. you just might be hmmmmm
I like this car a lot.
Me too...
But I'm not afford to buy it.
What a great review ... Great video and love the car ... Hopefully for 2018 or 2019 Android and Apple play will be there
I've never been this in love with a Hyundai before. They're stepping their game up a lot
I'd much prefer a lexus ls...but I got to give em credit. good stuff genesis!
HodsBroo l have the Lexus ls430 and ls460l they are awesome carss
HodsBroo isn’t Lexus a bit more expensive than the genesis?
Yeah. The lexus is 100,000 with all of these options. You could buy 2 g90s
This. Has much better infotainment
Very beautiful luxury car !
"You got to climb that ladder if you want the good seats" LOL!!! 1:22
I drive a Lexus but I'm loving this Genesis very nice vehicle!!
Micah always makes me laugh. "Gotta climb that ladder if you want to have the good seats!" Lol!
Thoroughbred status. Elegant, for those who appreciate great value.
you're trying too hard to be critical...
Augustus Arthur I agree. If the Jukebox and squeaking paddle shifter are such a big deal then pull out the extra $20k and get the merc s. All the car journalists give Hyundai and Kia nitpicky reviews smh

Annie Lennox dislikes this video.

I'm still waiting for the new Genesis SUV
The lower manager sits on the center console and the supervisor gets to ride in the trunk, lol
Does anyone else see Ford Mustang headlights on this car?
Also - has Micah been working out? ;)
Great review, I'm going to check it out.
The genesis almost look like cadillac CT6 but I still love it 👍🏻
This is a beautiful car. Set in one at the car show today. Hyundai has come along way!
The infotainment/radio controls and screen look almost identical to the Lexus GS. Though that isn't a bad thing. The gauges look very nice and classy too, (much nicer than the BMW 7 series gauge cluster imo.)
Tyler Beeson It's does look like the Lexus GS.
Tyler Beeson the BMW's gauges are all fully digital
I know, but in sport mode the gauges look atrocious. I like a normal, clean, simple design for gauges. When digital, I prefer them to look like analogue instruments. I think Audi and Mercedes Benz do their VIPs very well.
Tyler Beeson yeah, I agree.
Tyler Beeson yeah, I agree.
It's just perfect and worth every penny.
Thank you for the review.
Just makes good common sense...
Love you guys and these reviews. You're my first choice for car research. One point though: I would love to see the actual price of the vehicle in the description to save me the clicks of going to kbb to check it out. Thanks for the great videos!
Please Hyundai, improve the customer service experience for consumers and have knowledgeable people who work in your Service departments,
Ravi Peiris M.D.
These are already under 40K. At that price, it's a no brainer.
That's Long Beach, CA. I recognized the streets, hahaha. Sweet :-)
I own a 2015 g80 and thinking about buying the g90 can’t beat the price
good review dude
Glad you liked it!
The seats are unbelievably comfortable...
I love Cadillac it's my favorite car brand but this car is honestly better, it is doing what modern caddie's forgot to do.
I’d buy this
I have a LEXUS LS460 but I must say this is tempting...
If you are rich, stick with the German brands. If you want to look rich, stick with Genesis.
Starting at $69k but probably will give like $10k off sticker price (based on equus and k900) so I would say not bad car for $60k. Upscale cabin with decent power, and no need to worry about depreciation lol
John Smith well it holds value pretty well so even if you decide to keep it ...u wouldn't have anything to worry about
Beauty Leah Nicole How so? If you consider resale value of Equus, Genesis, Azera and K900, Cadenza and Amanti I think the answer is quite clear. Genesis might have been the most successful among them thus have rather higher value, so G80 might do ok. But G90? You'd probably would regret not leasing one instead of buying one.
John Smith they're very popular among Asians in my neighborhood. Only they seem to appreciate the low-key cars lol
Yea
Good! Genesis!!
Lmfao, “that frank black didnt come soon enough” 😂😂😂
centre console buttons clearly are taken from s class
more like look for all the weakness review. I can find that on a merc too
I love that Genesis managed to make this sedan actually genuinely nice to look at. Other cars in this class look bloated and cranky (mercedes, bmw, etc...) this one looks lean, and classy.
was it durable I love reliability and less despreciate
Looks good
It will be interesting to see what the lease options will be; maintenance covered and vehicle valet it might be worth it for 3 years.
Considering all the features this car has at no extra charge like the other brands I'll buy one
Great looking car but question? Where does this get serviced. I would assume most Hyundai dealerships have not seen one. I would never let a mechanic touch this car as a first. Good to see you are a Pixies fan
Will Genesis have a Sport Luxury Hybrid? please
this reviewer sounds too cocky.
nino L He's so full of himself. A major A-hole.
was this filmed around long beach?!!
Will Lowe I think north county San Diego
Actually a decent car, very impressive Hyundai!
Awesome sound system, I presume?
I like his reviews...very honest and funny !! 😎👌🏼
I think they added Apple Cplay and AA for 2019
Don't worry, Micah. I'm still a fan of you. People don't seem to understand that you're being playfully "cocky" (which is something someone actually wrote here), and KBB's reviews have a more playful tone than just being a boring, spec-listing video like some other reviewers.
hello how are you where did you find the android auto option help me please thanks

100,000 mile power train warranty, picking one up in 3-5 years when it's 50-60k miles and around 30K!
Love this car
Okay where did they steal that front badge from ?????
It’s good but remember there’s going to be a new one soon
I want the g80
Jamaican Me Crazy ok moon Martian
копи деньги!
The trunk automatically opens when you stand next to it for 3 seconds ( I hope that's with key fob ) and not without 🤔
clobbyhops Yes with key fob.
Yes, and the market value shows how resale values have tanked . my 2016 3.8 Hyundai Genesis went from $51k to $28 k in 6 months with 12k miles- Look it up on on Kelly Blue lol
I would expect more out of kbb.
1mpg drop from 3.3T to 5.0L? wtf Hyundai spent all that money for 1 MPG?!
lol
dont forget turbos give a different driving experience than naturally aspirated (if u want that low end torque and a lighter car) and also it costs alot less. so no waste of money here. plus they developed the 3.3T for other cars to use like G80 and kias new GT sports car (possibly even G70?:O ).
Mohankeneh wrong, if you compare a turbo 6 to a v8, low end torque isnt that much better and you can run into lag, its not lighter , twin turbo setups are heavy and more expensive then a NA v8
Mohankeneh more shit to break as time goes on, if a V8 break at least I know all I gotta do is fix the damn motor.
hmm i see what you guys are saying. But i do know for sure the more products they introduce the 3.3twin turbo into the cheaper itll cost to make them. thats their aim, in my opinion
They want to sell these models in Canada from boutiques located inside .... Malls
Was this guy not totally the wrong guy to review this car?
Does Hyundai still make the Equus?
Tim Cui nope the G90 is the new Equus
It seems as if he goes out of his way to nit-pick the Genesis cars. He did it with the G80 (when it was still called Genesis) and he's doing it here. He finds small things to point out as "flaws".
I just can't get used to a big luxury car with a 6 cylinder engine! ALL RIGHT a V-8!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Awesome review!!!
Very nice but would feel more comfortable if I spent that money and maybe a bit more for a lexus

But it's still not a Lexus!
Genesis G90 is already outselling Lexus LS, Audi a8 and BMW 6 series this year in the U.S.
IF so, it only means that there's still "...a sucker born every minute."
So many ppl here are just broke and they say they wouldn't pay $70 000 for Hyundai!!! You can't afford to buy Toyota Corolla for God sick stop BS.
Walter 777 😂😂😂😂😭
the only step back to this car is the competitor and brand
is this basically the Hyundai Equus?
LongrunQBJK hell no
I'm early, so here's a joke.
The Hyundai Excel.
In all honesty, it's amazing to see how far Hyundai has gotten in the past few decades.
I bought a Pony back in 1984. I now own a 2010 Genesis Coupe. My next car will be the G90 or G80. Different animals.
well if I a loaded person and have the chance to choose between S class, 7 series, and this G90! It's still a Hyundai.
dude you're pushing the paddles PAST the shift point.
I like the other reviewer more. He spends more time actually talking about a car and less time thinking he's funny.
Do koreans actually buy this or they buy german?
Micah has the funniest reviews.
Yup... That's definitely how I use my paddle shifters...
I'm a frugal Hyundai owner and wouldn't hesitate to buy another. But as someone who can afford this car, why not spend that kind of money on a used Audi S8? Yes maintenance is higher but at that price range what's a few grand here or there? I would rather own the supercar.
So genesis might not compete with the german brands yet but its definite competes with Lexus, Cadillac and Lincoln
GiovanniLACA17XD Lexus? Not yet. Lexus in the class of the Germans and Swedens(volvo) not Cadillac, Lincoln, and Acura.
Love it great
Yes it is great
Wait for 3 years and watch this beautiful beast depreciate. It will be a great buy. A 3 year old Genesis g90 for the same price of a Toyota Avalon.
1 more yr to go
Nissan Versa tail lights but still a nice car
I actually really like this car, I'm definitely considering buying one... in about 5 years when it will be worth around 15% of its original price
I think your statement applies to the mercedes benz S Class
Who is this classy dude, all dressed up to review a fine automobile?
