Oh man please help. I did everything with may Google 7 and now in fastboot mode it only says "restart bootloader" and not unlock bootloader. What did I wrong? OEM is ready
yes, every time you lock/relock or unlock the bootloader, all of the data on your phone is erased (and reset). it's a security measure put into place by Google (you don't want thieves being able to do this)

I don't have a video specific to this situation right now, but this issue is usually USB related. could be that you need to install the proper USB drivers from the OEM that makes your phone. or it could be that you just need to try another USB port (try multiple if you can). lastly, it may just be that you need to use another USB cable entirely. I've read that people have issues with USB 3.0 ports/cables when trying to do something adb/fastboot related
The question I have is that just unlocking the bootloader just to install a custom rom, will this cause apps to fail due to just a bootloader unlock with no root? I know if I root and do not have some magisk or other software to address the issue, that root can cause some apps to not load such as Presto (Toronto's not GO app) though I have rooted a53 5g from the UK and Presto works fine with a hide module. I have the Japanese version and wondering if a bootloader unlock without root will disable the Felica and NFC chips.
i can't access the developer mode because the phone got locked to google frp locked and i lost everthing about the google account that i used. pls, any idea??
@@ImARealHumanPerson that's a big reason why I don't teach it here. I get that mistakes can happen, but that isn't usually the people who go looking for that type of tutorial

TLDR: any way to unlock bootloader without wiping data?? Thank you for these great videos! So I HAVE to keep the data because I am diabetic and use the freestyle libre 3 app that pairs to a sensor in my arm, they last 14 days and I started a new one last night 🤦♂️. I've seen some threads for other phones able to bootloader unlock without wiping data by adb command fastboot OEM unlock while holding volume - on device then run command fastboot reboot while holding volume - Supposed to trick the device from wiping data. (Guide was not a pixel). I know it's a long shot... but can anyone try it and confirm?🙏 My only other option is to wait out the 14 days.😢
BTW phone is basically out of the box but I transferred apps and data from OP7 pro and backed up with Google 1 but I don't think the freestyle libre 3 app is going to work after the data wipe even with a restore with Google 1 right? Tried to post the link 10 times now but RUclips is deleting my comments 🤦♂️ It's on XDA developers and is a guide for Xiaomi Mi A2 lite

you can, but if you do, make sure the Android OS has not been modified in ANY way. any changes to the filesystem (root, mods, etc) need to be undone and everything needs to be stock before it is considered safe to relock the bootloader
@@ExplainingAndroid Assuming if I just do a factory data reset that should work for getting all the root and mods gone correct? Then I can relock bootloader?

Same method with the pro model. Finally got the upgrade after the pixel 5. It feels like a faster phone and better in the hands too!
congrats on the new phone! I've really enjoyed how the new pixel phones feel in the hand lately
You are the only person in the entire world who is able to explain this. Thank you. Appreciate it brother. Subbed.

does this open the diag port and give access to this port ? thanks for videos, very clear. i have seen others too, amazing work
Did anyone figure out how to Unlock VZW Bootloader after Carrier Unlocking device on Pixel 7 Pro?
Excuse me, if i do those things, or for example if i wanted to lock the bootloader, will my phone reset?

What IS the correct folder? I'm completely lost and no one is answering this
I'm guessing you're talking about the folder where your ADB/Fastboot files are installed?

My OEM unlocking is greyed out. I have ATT. What should I do?
sadly, AT&T blocks the bootloader from being unlocked :( you would need to get a phone from the Google Store (rather than from AT&T)

What's the drm status after unlocking? Is it L1 or L3
Ok so i did a factory data reset thinking that would erase root. From their i locked the boot loader. and says no os detected what do i do now? fudge.
I can't toggle the OEM unlock option is there a solution?
