Beautiful song and by far their biggest crossover hit but based on Rob squad vibe, I wish they would have picked either "Meeting in the Ladies' Room" or "Men All Pause".
right
You are so right. They'd have flipped for meeting in the ladies room!!!!
Both! Klymaxx was ... is ... will always be ... the ISH.
Right. They always seem to pick the weird songs instead of the ones that were a big hit. I love both you the ones you mentioned, but the Men All Pause is absolutely perfect.
Meeting In The Ladies Room is so bad asd
You guys are sooo cute! Thank you for reviewing our song. As the person singing the song, thank you young lady for your heart warming description of my vocal performance. And yes, it's supposed to make you feel something about someone you miss...it is, as you say, a part of the human experience. We've got two jams for "ya boy".."The Men All Pause" and "Meeting In The Ladies Room"...thanks again for your consideration and for putting a smile on my face 💕💕💕
I loved you ladies . You should put out some beautiful new songs like this
❤
As a young white man when this song was released, I loved it and became a fan of Klymaxx . Loved Meeting In The Ladies Room and Men All Pause also . I wish yall would have kept on putting out hit songs like these
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you❤ Joyce for helping me reminisce about my high school crush❤.

Yes to all of them please!!!
You forgot Two Occasions by The Deele
@@reallymysterious4520 It's from 1987
Glenn Medeiros - Nothing's Gonna Change My Love For You
I was 15 when this song came out. I had just lost my good friend in a car accident. This song hits my heart as hard today as it did then. And I still miss you Raul. 😢
I’m sorry for the loss of your friend. 🙏🏼
Thank you
So sorry for the loss of your friend 😢
Sorry for your lost my condolences
"Meeting in the Ladies Room" was a huge club favorite. "Men All Pause" and "Man Size Love" are also great jams. "Man Size Love" was from the movie "Running Scared" with Billy Crystal and Gregory Hines. A movie I'd highly recommend.
Yes 🙌 to all these songs . What a great movie “Running Scared. RIP Gregory Hines ❤️
You know it Roy, Used to dance to both of these songs back in the 80s at the club.
Running Scared's goin' on my list for sure.
Underrated buddy cop movie for sure. Jimmy Smits is really good. Billy and Gregory have really good chemistry.
Great suggestions here!!
What a decade of music! I so miss the 80's.
Best one ever
Me too. What a wonderful time to grow up.
Love this song. Always brings tears to my eyes. Next.. do their dance hit...Meeting In The Ladies Room. That memorable line "Don't slap me. I'm not in the mood." 😂😂😂😂
Yazzzz!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Much love to this group. They deserve so much more recognition and I'm glad to see so many younger folks discovering their music. Klymaxx is still performing all the way in 2023! Definitely try to catch a show, if able. It's 3 different reboots, each with 1 original member. The lead singer here, Joyce "Fenderella" Irby, who's a bassist, currently performs as Klymaxx FM.
A Classic Slow Jam!...a song to listen to when your heart is broken
This was a big song back in the day! It was played all the time. One of my favorites!
... this song, and "All Cried Out" by Lisa Lisa & Cult Jam with Full Force are the two songs I listen to if I need to cry out a flood of tears for some reason.
Same!! Still know every word!!❤
Skyy “ It’s Real Love” is one of the most soulful ballads of all time! Denise is a beast with the vocals!
Amber you'll love they're song "Meeting In The Ladies Room" which was the lead single. This was the second release.
After a succession of dance hits, Klymaxx surprised us with this heartfelt ballad. As with other bands, they had a softer, more emotional side.
Even though it never got higher on the weekly Pop charts than #5, it was on the charts for so long (29 big weeks!!) it ended up ranking as the #3 song of the entire year (1986).
OMG! Jay if you want a banger, try “Man Size Love”, “Sexy”, “Men All Pause”, “Meeting in the Ladies Room”!!!
All are bangers (in my book!) and are heavy with base along with horns for Amber!😊
I think "I'd Still Say Yes" is their best song. It was written by Babyface, who is a great songwriter.
Absolutely yes! "Man Size Love" is such a great song from the sound track to the movie "Running Scared", which, by the way, would be a great movie for Jay & Amber to review.
They r so good!! 😎
Frank Kempa YES!!!
@@BillGraper agreed, but they do have a wonderful and fun library of good songs to listen to and enjoy! 😃
LOVED this song back then. Still do!!!! And I blast it on my speakers whenever I drive through Wal Mart 🤘🏽🤣🤘🏽
Nice !
So many hits from the eighties. So many memories ❤
This was a long-running hit, staying on the charts for 7 months in 1985-86. It was also an '80s high school slow dance favorite, so for many people there's probably a lot of memories attached to it. The lack of synth-y electronics (just the one keyboard synth) gives this song more of a '70s feel instead of '80s.
The Jets is a family band that I think you will also like. They had several hits, such as, Crush on You,...Make it Real, and You Got it All. Hope you also get a chance to react to more Debarge.
Oh wow, this song hits home big for me. I lost one of my best friends due to Gang violence in Chicago back in 1984. When ever this song came on rhe radio, it choked me up thinking of my friend. I still miss his laugh, and sense of humor. Rest Easy Todd, see you when I get there.
I've been suggesting The Men All Pause, forever.
Jay has been breaking my heart these past few reviews. Between this, the Monkees, and the Joe Jackson song he’s killing me! 😭
Same here....I hope he realizes that not every song is meant to be "bumped goin down the highway"Some are meant to be listened to when you are alone, sad, depressed or just when u wanna chill and relax....etc..I think Amber is more open minded to ALL kinds of different types of music.
@@richierich4538 I liked Amber's reaction to the song best. Jay is starting to be "downer" for me lately. Good his wife is his ying to her yang.
Do Meeting In The Ladies Room and The Men All Pause Both are bangers by Klymaxx.
Absolutely had those cranked while cruising on Friday night😊
Yeah, they should have started with one of these.
They say she sounds like MJ on this song.
Check out their other songs Meeting in The Ladies room and the Men All Pause , those are funky jams you would love
I LOVE Meeting in The Lasies Room. Jay & Amber would really like it and Men all pause
The Jets - Make it Real~
Hey Jay, you know it’s a ballad right? They’re more known for uptempo funky stuff like Men All Pause and Meeting In The Ladies Room.
High School me loved the dance floor slow jams ;)
Damn this song was a mainstay at highschool dances in the 80s.
They were the first all girl band. She was accused of sounding like Michael Jackson. The song was a banger and it still makes me smile and sing along
Michael Jackson must be turning over in his grave to hear that one. Very weak voiced.
Good Evening. They were not the first all girl band, but rather the first all BLACK girl band.
Yeah, the Go-Gos were before them, so definitely not the first.
@@lumariadp Good Evening. The Go-Gos were also not the first female all rock band. Goldie and The Gingerbreads and The Pleasure Seekers were the first two female all rock girl bands in the 1960's. And they paved the way for The Go-Gos.
@Reginald Jackson And The Runaways.
I know Jay isn't much into the slower songs, but this is such a nice mellow song. Another "slower" song I would highly recommend is by En Vogue - "Don't Let Go" from the movie "Set It Off" featuring Queen Latifah, Jada Pinkett Smith, Vivica A. Fox & Kimberly Elise. Another good movie worthy of your review.
Great movie...and song! 🔥
Jay doesn't slow love songs? You shoulda seen how he reacted to KC and the Sunshine Band's "Please don't go". He sure liked that "slow" song!
An absolute BANGER!!! I recently rediscovered their other big ballad, "I'd Still Say Yes." That one is ALSO 🔥!!! That should be next for sure! Both of these songs are a regular daily thing for me.
An absolute banger??? 🤣🤣🤣 Wtf??? 🤣🤣🤣 🙏🇺🇸✌️😎
@@Crownd1_ I'm a love song connoisseur.
@Bill Graper With all due respect, that's where this song belongs in the connoissewer.
@@Crownd1_ I grew up with this song, and it sounds amazing. I like "I'd Still Say Yes" better, though.
@@Crownd1_ It wouldn't be an 80s hit if it ain't a banger.
they have the song meeting in the ladies room
I've always loved this song since it first came out. Amber is right in that it is very relatable, as everyone has missed someone or a pet in their lives.
This song is so awesome. Great memories of hearing it on the radio.
Not 6 year old me singing my heart out to this! 😂
I still love it! ❤
same here. I was six when this came out, and I loved it.
Bernadette, the girl on the drums, was a riot back in the day. She sings 2 of their most popular dance songs: "The Men All Pause" and "Meeting In the Ladies Room". The videos for those are hilarious and one of them was even parodied on SNL.
"I Still Say Yes" Another great song to follow up to I Miss You.The 80s had that ummpf!😊
They do have upbeat songs that might be more up your alley like "Meeting in the ladies room' and "The men all pause".
Every playlist I have ever had with this song on it was immediately followed by Expose doing "Seasons Change"... every. single. one. every. single. time.
These 80's jams are hitting me in my late teens early 20's feels.
The Men All Pause by Klymaxx is a funky club mix.
That was so good and took me back and I was thinking that you haven't reacted to Shalamar, "A night to remember" "The second time around" "Make that move" and my favorite "This is for the lover in you" Jodie Watley and Howard Hewitt went solo after Shalamar with great hits too.
*Howard Hewett.
@Tanesha H. oops, thank you and gonna fix it. 😉
I saw Klymaxx in concert with Midnight Star in about ‘84’…
AMAZING SHOW! Good times!
Midnight Star was off the chain.
I’m soooo jealous but happy for you!!! I’d love to see “Unruly Cooley” jazzing up the stage! 😃👍🏼
Yeah they were!
I don’t think anybody sat all night… I was cuttin’ a rug all over the coliseum 😆
She’s an amazing talent! 🎸
Love this song, and I also love another ballad that they did called "I'd Still Say Yes." Brings back so many memories!
You beat me to it!
They have a total banger called Man Sized Love !
YES! This!!! 🔼😃
Wow, I forgot about this song. I remember dancing slow with the girls at our parties to this song. And Jay, this isn't a song to Jam to. Not all songs are for jamming. This one is for dancing with your lady to. It's not a bad song just because it's not fast. It's a beautiful sentiment.
I still listen to this all the time great song
Whew-the memories! 😂 'Meeting In The Ladies Room' and 'The Men All Paused' are my favorites!
Someone else reacted t this song on RUclips and I commented how I loved Klymaxx in the 80’s and they just disappeared. The lead singer responded and said we are still around……I was shocked and responded happy to hear😊❤I guess you never no who is watching and reading comments😂.
Nothing but the best songs back then.
In high school I hung out with a large group of guys and girls who were into a mix of hard rock, heavy metal, punk, alternative and grunge. However, there were some songs, we called them mainstream music, that was still acknowledged as just plain good music. I have a fond memory of riding in a car packed with long-haired, tatted guys in ripped jeans, rock tees and steeltoe boots stopped at a red light where the car next to us was full of preppy teenagers that started playing this song. Instead of turning up our music to drown them out, we started singing at the top of our lungs when the chorus hit. It's one of the best memories I have of that time in my life.
Meeting in the Ladies Room; The Men all Pause are good ones!
Meeting in the Ladies Room is such an old school jam🎉
Brings me back to Great memories...
Amber you will love these two songs for next time on female Friday and since it's been a while, I would love for you and Jay to react again to Debbie Gibson and the song is called Foolish Beat official music video... O..M.G. great lyrics beautiful voice and so emotional...
# 2. Martika Toy Soldier official music video and you won't believe who sampled this song and he's a Hip Hop artist... Trust me once you both hear this song, lol it will hit you memory really quick...
Again thank you guys...
Oh and I just bought a T-shirt from your store, lol can't wait to wear it...
This song brings back so many memories of my old friends and the countless waltzes we shared. It also brings back memories of the friends I lost and will never see again. Good memories that I will cherish forever.
😍 I absolutely LOVED them growing up! Man, this song definitely brings back memories! You guys should definitely do The Men All Pause ALSO you guys need to react to Automatic by The Pointer Sisters
Your BOY JAY ain't gon' know what to do when he plays MEETING IN THE LADIES ROOM and THE MEN ALL PAUSE. Klymaxx is DANCE FUNK but have BEAUTIFUL BALLADS too. GET IT IN! LOL! Great REACTIONS, as ALWAYS! LOVE Y'ALL!
The lead singer's vocals on the chorus are so sweet and pure.
YES slow dance classic! Don't wait too long to listen to "The Men All Pause" & "Meeting in the Ladies Room" :)
Please listen to "Waiting for a Star to Fall" from BOY MEETS GIRL.
This is a classic. I emailed two of the ladies in this group about 10 years ago after a VH1 special and they both emailed back with very kind words. Lovely ladies. I remember when they came on Arsenio Hall and sang this song to him on his last show.
The one for Jay is "Meeting In The Ladies Room", straight funky!
Yes! Klymaxx is an awesome all girl group. You should check out The Men All Pause, Meeting In The Ladies Room and Divas Need Love Too. The lead singer on this track sometimes sounds like Michael Jackson!
The first week or so this song was out i thought it was Micheal Jackson, then i saw the video and i was like WTF lol
This was another one of those one hit wonders. This song did very well for them, but nothing else they did really charted well. They did have a few songs that were popular to a point, but none of them did as good as this one.
Jay has a chair dancing twin in the video for Meeting in the Ladies Room. Haha! 😂😂
One of the greatest break-up songs ever - check out their "I'd Still Say Yes"
Man, you're taking me back now! This came out when I was in high school and this brings a flood of memories
I'm a rocker, but I caught a Klymaxx show at an NCO club on Kwang Ju Air Base, S. Korea, in early 1988. Was sent up from Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, as a part of an important Operational Readiness Inspection. Before we flew back home, they had the show. I was impressed that the ladies played their own instrumants and put on a great show. Lots of radio songs I had heard, as well.
Thank you two. I had forgot about this song. I love, love, love this song. I can ride around playing this and other love songs all day. Because love songs remind me to always love everyone for who they are. And to not judge them.
Ok seriously, are you two finally reading my mind.
Klymaxx classics for future Female Fridays: "
"Meeting In The Ladies Room"
"Man Size Love"
There were a ton of slow reflective songs from the 60 through the 80s, and even 90s that were very, very popular. Back then, a breakup was a very deep, very traumatic happening and its these songs that made people reflect and wonder, often with regret. Sadness, regret and humility were very real tools for growth and there are a whole lot of Boomers and Gen X that spent many many evenings in the comfort of their best friend.....the radio.
Man this one takes me back! Instantly transported back to my youth. Playing the radio at night before bed. One of my favorites.
I can honestly say as a man, this was one of my favorite love songs from this time era!! ❤
This is another great song from my teenage years!
The ultimate Klymaxx banger is The Men All Pause, it's HOT!!! Also Meeting in the Ladies Room and Lock and Key. Incredible!!!
Great R&B/Soul song. They don't make music like this anymore.
I also like their song, I'd Still Say Yes.
It's funny, back when this came out people still used to slow dance. I haven't seen that happen in real life in a long time.
She's got a great voice. Meant to be listened to while you close your eyes and remember.
Klymaxx cool major group in the 80s just lil underrated nice vocals
Yes, 'Meeting in the Ladies Room' and 'The Men All Pause' are great songs from Klymaxx!! Jay would love these songs!
SWV "You're Always on My Mind"
Billie Myers "Kiss The Rain"
I love this song.
These ladies are amazing. Someone with a broken heart knows what this song is about.
There are a few songs that just propell me back to the 80s and this is one of them. At the time it was released I had about stopped buying the 45 records but I got this one.
I remember when this song came out A LOT of people thought that she was Michael Jackson! She does remind me of his voice, but that's just how she sounds. I love them , this was one their last hits as the group I knew and grew up with.
Another skating rink memory ❤
Couples skating and slow dances the memories are coming back!
Yesssss!!! I love this song so much! Good pick, Amber!
🥰
Flood of memories!! Most if not all artists back then always threw in one or two slow jams in their albums, it was a thing and we loved it.

Yes but anyone who grew up in the 80’s knows for a fact that we loved our ballads as much as we loved our big hair bands! (In fact, many of the ballads were by the big hair bands! KISS-“Beth” is one of my favorites! Especially the video when they were still in full makeup! Something about those hard rocking men coming off their regular instruments still in full makeup & a beautiful violin! It is just sweet I guess)
Klymaxx is know best for "Meeting In The Ladies Room", other 80's girl groups that you havent reacted too, The Cover Girls, Company B, The Flirts, Sweet Sensation, Seduction, Mary Jane Girls, Vanity 6, FuzzBox, Mel & Kim, Pepsi & Shirlie, and problem some more that I have forgotten. the 80's had lots of female groups or female led groups.
I recommend and dedicate I’d still say yes by Klimaxx to Jay and Amber! ❤ wish all of the robsquad family a joyful and big smiles night! 😊
1. Love you down or slide over Ready for the World
2. Sunshine lady
3. When we're dancing close and slow Prince
4. Shopping for my tombstone (blues song)
5. Ghost Tupac
6. Come back to me Janet Jackson ( the version that has the haunting bells for the intro.
I could go on.
I'm going to keep peeping y'all out. If y'all stay 💯 I'm being a patron. I've peeped your movie and music, y'all trill wit it. One love.
The song that I didn’t knew how much I missed. Thank you for the memory. My 30 year class reunion next week. Perfect song to reminisce about school dance
Back in the 80's a radio station had a contest and my high school won a Klymaxx concert in our gymnasium, it was awesome!! As others suggested, you really need to do "Meeting in the Ladies Room" and "The Men All Pause"...we danced our asses off!
7-year-old me really sang this on my doll-covered bed like I was GOING THROUGH IT. I love the sweet nostalgia I get when I hear it now.
