For sure 💯 agree with you in terms of this absolutely iconic song. I have absolutely no idea how I arrived at this video down the rabbit hole that is RUclips, (really wasted here in the UK, and grieving), however you’re both such an endearing duo, I’m so tempted to subscribe, such warm vibes coming from the pair of you.
Yessss that was a house fave when we were growing up! My big sis wore her hair just like Natalie, and loved singing that song, we all did! 🥰Also if they wanna jump to the 80s Natalie, I highly suggest "Jumpstart My Heart". It's a funkier side of Natalie that is fire and should not be missed! 🔥🔥🔥
Great reaction! When Natalie passed at the end of 2015, I listened to this on repeat for days. What an amazing, passionate voice. Perfectly crafted song, and perfectly sung. That build up at the end "When a feeling gets this strong, you know the real things come along." Natalie's the real thing!
"Miss You Like Crazy" was Natalie Cole's 15th single to chart on the Billboard Hot 100 and her last Top 10 single, peaking @ #7 in 1989. "MYLC" peaked @ #1 on the Soul chart (her 6th #1 on that chart out of 31 charted singles).
I only found your reactions a few weeks ago!! And this is my first comment!! I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL!! Not only because of your entertaining and wonderful song selection and reactions, but mostly because of the your beautiful character and warm personalities!! You are a treasure to watch!! Keep your Faith in God and keep smiling!!!😊
Amber & Jay, first of all Rip Natalie Cole, she was one special person that followed in her dad's footsteps. It shows in her music n her beautiful voice. Continue to do more Natalie Cole reactions. God Bless Natalie Cole's Soul.
This is my favorite Natalie Cole song. It's funny how musical talent runs in some families. It certainly did in the Cole family. I love the virtual duet she did with her dad. Both Nat King Cole and Natalie Cole are unforgettable.
Thank you for another great reaction to the wonderful Natalie Cole! One fine future Friday you will find it a pleasure to react to Alaska's own Jewel singing "Foolish Games"!!
I watched her concert in Manila in early 2010s and she sang all her greatest hits. Loved her 'This Will Be' song the most. She also did not like anyone taking video while she was singing and called out an audience to stop it 😅
As a hard Rocker, I am also a Musician and have an ear for music. This is the type of music I miss hearing on radios at just the right time. This is a musical masterpiece, the keyboard synth, piano, strings, her voice, so heartfelt. Honestly this is a tear jersey song.. I lost both my parent's This song resonates with me so much more as an adult. Another beautiful song you must review is : Surface "The First Time". They just don't write this quality of music anymore. RIP Natalie Cole.
Natalie Cole was in her prime when there were So Many great women singing r&b and pop!! Her first album, 'Inseparable', might be my favotrite! You should hear "This Will Be"!!
Absolutely love this song! Thank you for finally get to this song! Like Jay I could Listen to her sing Miss you like crazy forever:) So glad you both finally heard this gem🥰
Love that you do Natalie and Nat. Both great singers but the best thing you can listen to is them sing his song Unforgetable together. The best way to hear this is to watch the video. It is very touching especially since she was only 15 when he died so he didn’t get to see her success. Please do this soon.
A painful reminder of love lost, delivered with the vocal force of nature that was Natalie Cole. She and her daddy sing to the angels now. This one still brings tears to the eyes of an older man who still isn’t immune to the tugs of heart strings. ❤️
Jay!.. while I always enjoy hearing Amber and your reactions.. for me, what stood out today? Well, let me just say.. that with the way you lit up!! when you saw your little boy heading into the room, well ir was a smile that conveyed sheer joy.. and pure Love! I swear you could be lighting up entire rooms and more if you were to harness the the wattage from that smile! LoL!❣😁🫶🫶🫶🫶❣
I always listened to Nat King Cole for Christmas, but this song and "Unforgettable" led me to listen to her singing her father's standards, which led me to listening to his versions of them as well. Her versions and his are definitely worth a listen.
Great you checked out the amazing Natalie Cole. Have been a fan since her first hit ‘This will be’ in 1975. Please check out ‘Pink Cadillac’, a Bruce Springsteen song, it’s fantastic. RIP Natalie ❤
love this song so so much. thank you a million times for reaction to this song. she has so many amazing songs like pink cadillac, unforgettable (with her father) and this will be.
YES YES YES..PLEASE CONTINUE DOWN THIS LANE..Checkout her tribute to her Dad in a video duet Unforgettable..ms Natalie Cole is one of few artist who vocally can be placed in multiple genres of music from 50's Bebop to the 60s into her time 70s and on.. not just her legendary dad but ms Cole spoke of having the Ultra Legendary ms Ella Fitzgerald in her livingroom as a child..how could ms Cole be anything less than amazing.. Ohh and checkout her live performance on RUclips from the album ASK A WOMAN WHO KNOWS..splendidly beautiful songs like Calling You and many more
Great reaction! You should dive even deeper into her work. She goes from soul, to pop, to club bangers to jazz, to the great American song book. She could do it all. She broke Aretha’s Grammy streak when she debuted on the music scene with Inseparable in 1975.
@@glenrushing5361 this is not correct. Sophisticated Lady was from the second album. Natalie won best new artist and best r&b female vocal in her debut album Inseparable
@mjones347 look at the nominations in 1975...Aretha wasn't nominated. Look at the nominations in 76 and then tell me I'm wrong. I am a huge Natalie fan. When Natalie won the Grammy Award best female vocalist in 75, these were the nominees: Esther Phillips - What A Difference A Day Makes, Gwen McCrae - Rockin Chair, Carol Douglas - Shame, Shame, Shame, and Natalie's This Will Be. Again, it was Sophisticated Lady that Broke Aretha's record
I grew up loving her father, and as an adult listening to her. Both amazing voices. RIP to both. She actually started very young. She had a group she would sing with, and her father would have them sing during his performances
This came out just as I had ended a long term relationship, made me upset every time. Many years later it's fine and I can listen without the sad feelings
This song is from the late 80's. Some of her best music is her 70's music. It's less produced and slick and you get to hear her wail and rock. "This Will Be (An Everlasting Love"), "I've Got Love on My Mind" , "Sophisticated Lady", Mr. Melody, Party Lights, La Costa. Jazz, Rock, Gospel, R &B. Her live album is incredible.
Natalie Cole was one of the greatest singers ever. Be sure to listen to the songs Be Thankful, Our Love and Inseparable from her Natalie Live album. They are really great songs you will truly enjoy.
So glad you got to Natalie! Her voice is incredible ❤ Natalie and Reba McEntire "Since I Fell for You" is phenomenal!!! Really hope you check it out, I know you'll both enjoy that one
I’ve been a big fan and Allie Cole since she came out in the mid 70s. They tried to make her do pop songs, but she’s really an excellent jazz singer. This particular song is lovely as it is was not the most complementary with her voice the song that was pinnacle of her career is the first time digital duet done with her father’s version of the classic “unforgettable”. It was debuted at the Grammy awards back and thinking 1989. When the digital and midi technology was really beginning to takeoff, it’s a very moving video and performance. Her father was the first black man to have a television show back in the 1950sthat King Cole was an incredible pianist vocalist. He died in 1965 - I believe Natalie was 15. They were very close. He would’ve been very proud of her career. Unfortunately, she died in December 2015. Very sad day both their legacies live on.
Natalie had an amazing voice. RIP Natalie!
rest in paradise jimmy buffett 😔🕯
Catchy repetition, love this song

OHHHHHHHHMYYYYY such memories
Natalie did a version of Unforgettable , with her dad. But it was put together as if they were together, singing together. If that makes sense.
My first dance with my wife at our wedding
They talk about that in the video being heavily requested.
She swept the grammys that year with that album.
If you can get away with singing the same thing over and over. You can sing! Whitney, too, with shoop shoop
“I’ve Got Love On My Mind”. Really shows off her range!! Great Natalie Cole song! 😉
Yes
Yes....and *I'm Catching Hell*
That's the one right there!
Jay/Amber, you will love her "I've Got Love on My Mind", the softer side of Natalie. What a voice!!!
I love that song ❤

She's wonderful, isn't she? This Will Be should definitely be next. Rest in Peace Natalie.⚘

She does a more upbeat song from 1988 called pink cadillac, which is worth a listen
My favorite!
