I'm a barber in New Jersey the shop I'm in is okay. I need someone that has the patience to show me other techniques. I work full-time nights and want to open a barbershop before I retire to start teaching how to cut hair.

that was a nice and different way of doing it. i cant think of a few other ways of going about it too. that what makes barbering great there is no one way of doing anything. i do like that finger placement you have on the clipper too i'll defnitely be adding that to my game. also raking down the side of the head with the clipper in a turnt over postion was nice for this cut too. ive had license for over 20 years and still learn new techniques when i see them everyday thanks my guy

That’s a gem right there. On course hair it tends to move when you comb or sponge. So always start off with a comb /sponge 🙏🏽

Thank you for watching! What are the next steps you take after sponging it?

@@larrysbarbercollege I like to debulk after I sponge. Then I’ll set my bald line. And then work my system after that. And always save the lineup for last. It out the artwork in a frame 🙏🏽

    Good clean cut

    You made that look easy.
But many barbers just starting out need to already “have that touch” and understand how to use the corners of the clippers. Otherwise they’re gonna be in for a long day. 😊
Nice cut on the Mowhawk brother.
    💈 ❤ 👊🏽

Horrible technique! No established guidelines at all. How are students supposed to learn how to do a Mohawk?
