You're spot on about the enhancements, that's a big reason why I follow your channel because you don't use them. I'm from Georgia, had good barbers, one from Detroit and the other from South Florida they never used them. It's what separates the the best barbers from the "painters" lol. I had this dude from Harlem spray something on my head using a compressor, I was like wth! The least you can do is ask the client, can't just cut then spray on a line to make it look like a fire cut. I was so mad at that dude lol. Anybody else feel the same way or just me lol. Keep up the natural cuts my boi.
I hate the enhancements bro it doesn't make sense to me. If you got the skill it will show in your work regardless!

At first my thoughts were no that’s gonna be way too short but it actually came out looking very nice. This cut really fit the client. Nice job.❤️❤️

you did good bro even choice of word to not offend people... my son hair kind of like this but he has alot of baby or of fuzz i just use the the preserve method and use judgement but sometime can find the gaurds or they get lost this was good clean cut and the video well done

Right on about the enhancements, I'm from Virginia but live in Alabama, i got a few thin spots thru-out my head & hairline but I'll rock wit it, rather than cover it up. Exceptional barbers can basically make any canvas a masterpiece so 2 speak. I just prefer a clean natural cut. Great content & excellent tutorial Bro.

You're def right about the Regional thing with enhancements. I prefer not to have them on mine personally but it's the thing to do here in the Chicago area.

What guards should I use to fade for my sides if I cut everything down with a 1 guard against the grain open lever?

I'm trying to get good at cutting my own hair and am thinner at the top, like your client. I was cutting with a 2 guard against the grain on top and fading the sides, but I want to go lower because that still looks thinner than I would like. Did you cut against the grain at the top also or did you use a different technique?

There's a time and a place for enhancements. I don't think it should be used on every cut.
