Man listen. I'm 46 years old and been cutting hair Since I was 9. I couldn't have broken this technique down any better myself. Young Buck, you got a gift with both cutting and teaching. I'm subbing so I can peep you on your journey. You remind me of a young me. Keep it simple and consistent. That's the way. Salute young G.
RUclips University is the way..... I've learned more on here than Barber school.... for real.. just get reps, do cuts for free if need to.... but end of the day you want your License
By far the best tutorial I’ve seen on RUclips yet. You just taught me more in 14 minutes than hours of watching haircut tutorial videos like I’ve been watching. Thank you bro!
I have literally watched 50+ videos over the last couple weeks and watching your video. I finally get it. Tried it out on my son this morning and it literally looks just like yours. You are the first one to really explain each step in detail, including guard level positions which a lot of other people conducting tutorials forgot. Amazing job bro.
You are a great teacher. ❤I am a female who just tried to do own undercut style. I cut to compliment my headshape (like you said) but I think I will have to go to a barber for the first 2 times just to keep my undercut together. I appreciate you and this video. I'm gonna check to see if you have a 'learn to use clippers' video so I can learn about clippers _open and close_ first. ❤
Amazing. Can't tell you how many tutorials I've watched from other great barbers. None were as simple, effective, and straight forward as yours. Hats off to ya and keep the content coming.
Thank you for the details! Combing the hair first, paying attention to headshape, how to make corrections. Details matter. ❤ I'd love a video on equipment for beginners.
I've started to cut my hair and done a high fade and I like my first result. After that I stumbled upon another video of you doing a taper and today I see this one. I must say man your videos are informational and you go through the whole process step by step in detail. I respect your work man. I dont subscribe much to channels but you've definitely earned it brother 💯
You just helped me step my fade game all the way up ! I cut my hair snd my 2 sons hair. Could not get it barbershop quality. Even from watching different videos on here . But , the puzzle was missing and now ive got the pieces! Thank you brother!
Love it,sir! Question.I have a son whose hair I cut in home! I do well enough to keep him fresh on a budget & your page totally educates.True fan. Can you plz(if already haven’t) show how one can properly fade/line up hair that has locks/twist long that styled Mohawk style.Tight around ear tic-cup area & blended up to locks that flow from crown/front to nape area.Thx & have a great day! The best/step by step video paying attention to details I’ve ever seen
Thank you for clearing that up, I was lost for a min and hard to start over. Bro did you do this on purpose for views. Jk. Thank you for this. First week in barber school and I’m trying to get this shit down
Yeah Bro he misspoke when he called the 1.5 a half guard. Unintentional mistakes happen but when you use these guards everyday it’s evident that the 1.5 is larger. Experienced barbers I believe recognized that immediately and it wasn’t a big deal. Hopefully others found your comment and you cleared that up for them. This is probably the easiest fade tutorial that I’ve seen and I watched lots of them. My blending technique is practically identical to his and works well for me even when I cut my own hair. Lastly, I’d recommend this young brother technique to ALL beginners who are learning to fade. He’s not using all kinds of expensive clippers and trimmers and got the job done in a tutorial that others take half an hour to show. He could get his instructor’s license and help other young men join this Craft. Didn’t mean to jump all in your message talking so much brother. I just appreciate knowing that we have barbers continuing the tradition - Each One Teach One. 💈❤️
Thank you so much for sharing. I'm a Mom,Wife and yaya( Grandparent) I'm 48 years old and decided to give barbar school a shot, I'm a Jill of many trades so this trade is something I put off many years so here we go. I'm here to get a headstart on the knowledge to success. Can you please list a great clippers starter kit. Not finding the adjustable clippers you mentioned. Thank you in advance. Be Blessed
Hello Sir. You truly are a great Educator and that's coming from a univ. grad. Everything was easy to understand and detailed. I bet you could teach in a school classroom if you wanted too. Thank you so much. this master class helped a lot.
This was a great tutorial, I greatly appreciate the time you spent sharing this. A few questions and suggestions ☺️ 1. When you made your guidelines what position was the lever in? In your next video do you mind posting text on the video of the guard # you are using at the time? It would definitely help, especially for those who get a little confused about which guard you’re using in the process. Thanks again for this video
this tutorial was well explained..unlike all the other barber videos i’ve seen, you set the first guideline with clippers NOT TRIMMER! and you explained why you did everything throughout the process…well done brother 💪🏽💈
Well taught I'm in barber school now and I'm going to use your fade method and technique like the way you explain it and keep the videos going Im on board with you
Keep putting out this dope content we need my brother 🙌🏾💙 I think you’re one of the greats already in all honesty. You check every box off the list. Can you please do us all a favor and make a bald head and beard tutorial, I have yet to see that lol 😎💯
Amazing tutorial, very helpful for me as I’m a beginner. I just got confused when you said half guard twice for the smallest guard and the biggest guard after 1.
Thank you and I went to a 1 year school in Mississippi..But if you really want to be honest school doesn’t really teach you much.I’ve gotten this talent through trial and error and being a sponge taking what I can from others and making my own system..I feel like I just have a natural teaching gift as well.Really explaining things to its most simplest form so everyone could understand
I never cut a black persons hair before. I was always nervous cut people always said it was differently than cutting white peoples hair. But honestly you killed it brother and broke it down masterfully!!💯. Not much difference at all. Other than going with the grain on the top. Everything else is exactly the same. Loved the video man! I’m locked in on the channel now💯
Thank u for being so descriptive and not telling me about your religion, political views or gang u claim... I just wanted to hear how u cut hair. Good job bruh!
When you set your initial guideline do you do your fading system in sections and sides of the head or all the way around? Also I like your fading system and makes sense fading down to not push fade up or create lines and setting guidelines all 1st good 💎 gems !
Bro you have that God given natural gift of a “teacher” You know how to teach! … super easy tutorial to follow ..
Thank you 🙏🏽,and welcome to the channel
I totally agree with this comment.

Great video but for beginners get them guards in order lol... 1 ½ guard to debulk the 1 guard guide line. & smallest ½ guard to hit the bottom line

Yea ngl this confused me at first. He said “half guard” a few times when introducing the 1.5 guard. Still a great tutorial 💯
