Man listen. I'm 46 years old and been cutting hair Since I was 9. I couldn't have broken this technique down any better myself. Young Buck, you got a gift with both cutting and teaching. I'm subbing so I can peep you on your journey. You remind me of a young me. Keep it simple and consistent. That's the way. Salute young G.
this tutorial was well explained..unlike all the other barber videos i’ve seen, you set the first guideline with clippers NOT TRIMMER! and you explained why you did everything throughout the process…well done brother 💪🏽💈
Bro can you please answer this leaver question I have with these clippers. Can you name the question mark, (Leaver open > leaver half open>?>leaver half closed>leaver closed) I have yet to find any barber on youtube that answers this, its driving me crazy.
Great tutorial. For beginners trust the process use your eyes and mirrors. If not in a shop or studio with mirrors. Turn away and look at it with some distance. I’m still not a fan of the ash lines.
I would love to ask you a few questions. Currently in barbering school and would love to know a few things. New Sub and will go through each of your videos. I appreciate your input in helping those who want to improve their craft, like myself. 😊 Please let me know if I may reach out other than youtube to gain insight. Thank you.
I think what’s really been holding my fades back is not cutting enough hair down before the cut. So should I always knock the hair down with the lever all the way closed?
Yes,especially with the fading method that I use and that I am showing to you all…A 1 guard all the way open is a 2 guard and a 2 guard all the way open is a 3… . So in the fading method if I was to cut down everything with the 1 guard then Iknow to debulk and get rid of any hair above the blend i would haft to start fading down with the 1 1/2 guard.. . But if I started that with the lever open with my 1 guard to cut everything down it would truly be a #2.. . When starting the fade down process the next guard that above the guard that I cut everything down with is used to start at the top of our fading down process which would be to debulk. . So having the lever walls the way open will 100% interfere with the system we are trying to use.
RUclips University is the way..... I've learned more on here than Barber school.... for real.. just get reps, do cuts for free if need to.... but end of the day you want your License
Thank you for clearing that up, I was lost for a min and hard to start over. Bro did you do this on purpose for views. Jk. Thank you for this. First week in barber school and I’m trying to get this shit down
Yeah Bro he misspoke when he called the 1.5 a half guard. Unintentional mistakes happen but when you use these guards everyday it’s evident that the 1.5 is larger. Experienced barbers I believe recognized that immediately and it wasn’t a big deal. Hopefully others found your comment and you cleared that up for them. This is probably the easiest fade tutorial that I’ve seen and I watched lots of them. My blending technique is practically identical to his and works well for me even when I cut my own hair. Lastly, I’d recommend this young brother technique to ALL beginners who are learning to fade. He’s not using all kinds of expensive clippers and trimmers and got the job done in a tutorial that others take half an hour to show. He could get his instructor’s license and help other young men join this Craft. Didn’t mean to jump all in your message talking so much brother. I just appreciate knowing that we have barbers continuing the tradition - Each One Teach One. 💈❤️
By far the best tutorial I’ve seen on RUclips yet. You just taught me more in 14 minutes than hours of watching haircut tutorial videos like I’ve been watching. Thank you bro!
You are a great teacher. ❤I am a female who just tried to do own undercut style. I cut to compliment my headshape (like you said) but I think I will have to go to a barber for the first 2 times just to keep my undercut together. I appreciate you and this video. I'm gonna check to see if you have a 'learn to use clippers' video so I can learn about clippers _open and close_ first. ❤
When you start blending out that 3rd line from the #1 guard, you keep saying half. You mean 1.5 right? I keep pushing my fades high and they clean, but I’m trynn practice the burst
Young man, you talk fast, and have hands as fast as a boxer, moving those clippers , i understood everything you were saying, and you were stopping and explaining, what you were doing, and that cut, is on the money, i don't know, how long you've been cutting hair, but you're a bad young man, in a good way, with those clippers in your hair.
Keep putting out this dope content we need my brother 🙌🏾💙 I think you’re one of the greats already in all honesty. You check every box off the list. Can you please do us all a favor and make a bald head and beard tutorial, I have yet to see that lol 😎💯

Do you actually flick out like other barbers do or are you just putting it flat against the head and cut?
Flat against the head..The only reason you would flick out would be to create weight in the haircut
Ur a beast were can i get the half of the guards just bought a mashed ne oike that but want the .5 1 and a half etc were can i get em
Thank you and Amazon bro
